I just took honors crap in high school and a standard prerequisite my Freshman year of college. They always touched upon the creative process, but never delved deep enough, though the most I got from writing and using literary devices was probably from having to read Shakespeare all four of my high school years lol. I enjoyed Shakespeare, quite a bit, so that was definitely a positive for me. I'll keep that tab open like the rest of my uber important tabs that dot my window. I leave these things open cause my bookmark folders are all over 100 and I don't know why. ;_; Pretty, pretty pictures, I don't doubt it and a lot of Bradley Cooper, for some reason.... It might help with the writing process to think in terms of literary devices. I should do it more myself, actually.
Also, you should bookmark tvtropes if you haven't already. Even if it is cheesy as hell and generalizes everything, it is an easy go-to place when you're out of ideas or don't know in which direction you should take something (Roy), that is, you might get a few ideas from there. Characterization is a decent place to start, or Characters as a device, and motifs of course! I should actually get on there myself and search some stuff for Olivia. She definitely has a bit of devoted to you in her and a bit of action girl.

That being said...! This website was quite useful during my English lit classes... uh, one or two years ago, I can't remember. I read tvtropes every now and then to get ideas to make things more clear. If I didn't have all the GM stuff to take care of, I'd probably focus more on my writing and use these devices much more. I suppose using these devices is a good way to fill the pages, which isn't always a bad thing, being a fan of brevity and all.

Anyway! I've made some updates to the combat stuffs. I've added a new status ailment, "berserk", which is based on one of Roy's abilities. I also edited Rockette's banners into tiny icons for our stagger meters. Also, here is the combat progress so far, let me know if I've missed something in your posts — there's a lot to keep track of!

My friends happen to be people who think that this kind of stuff is just plain weird, I would presume judging by the way that they are... and I am. Nothing about me fits this hobby, so I 'hide' it from everyone (never mention it). Video games is typically the utmost point to which one can step in terms of 'nerdy' things in my circle of acquaintances.

Thank you, Ten, for that wonderful mini-game! I remember that I enjoyed that "proof" song. Did I pick it for Olivia or was that a coincidence? I'll definitely get into the new game, but the guesses are going to need more time to form.

@Six, you're mostly good on the spirits. It's just the last one and how 'imperil' works. For example, to make something weak against Earth, you must inflict it with Imperil first and then use a spirit that causes Earth-whatever. So, it's not an instant weakness to an element of choice. Yes, you can change your limit break, or could in junction with spirit changes at the tree of life. Come to think of it, I need to do this for Olivia.

@JJ, I can add it. Just point out roughly where on the map it should be.

I've updated the map, finally. Regions are now color-coded. I've added regions for Anatolia, and places that have been mentioned in the story thus far. If I've missed some location that you've mentioned in a post, please let me know and tell me where they should be so that I can add them!

It's quite alright, Six. Self-confidence is a tricky thing, but it's the freedom of doubt and belief in your own abilities in contrast to what other people think about you. But, remember that I'm always here for you, for all of you, to discuss these things and help you where I can, so just drop me a message if that feels better. It comes with the Prisk-Premium package when I'm the GM! My expensive education is, after all, supposed to instruct me how to help people better themselves and learn difficult things.

Go ahead and add/change whatever abilities you want for Roy. You don't have to write a timeline for it now, focus on the combat post and getting your consistency up and running. You can always go back later, whenever, and write that timeline if feel that strongly about it.

Of course there are instances in which you simply 'don't want to', but part of being an adult is to fight through those moments! There are days, let me tell you, when I have no desire to work out, but I do it because I know that I will benefit from it more by doing it than not doing it, so I drag my ass down to the gym and do those tedious squats even if I have to scream while doing it and tell every creep down there, whom think they're so discreet and smooth, to fuck off.
