Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Leaps began to groan approvingly with Ciinriel scratching his belly. He was completely oblivious to the concerned talk around him.

Once again, Rhazii's attention was grabbed by his name. Even though his ears were up, he called out in protest. "It's not fair! Newt can breathe under water!"

Fendros gave Rhazii a smile. "You get to be bigger than Newt, though, right Rhazii? Isn't that unfair?" he teased.

"It's not the same, dada," Rhazii mumbled with a pout.

Fendros then turned to Jo'rashaad again. "Yes, expect many competitions if they arise."

There was a slight pause in the conversation with that. Janius decided to change the subject for the moment. "Jo'rashaad, S'ajira, I was wondering something. Has there been any talk about what is going to become of the Senchal clan after all is said and done here? Are you going to resettle back in the Tenmar?"

Some whispers exchanged between Rhazii and Newt before Rhazii slid off Janius' lap and jogged around behind the backs of the group. When he took the long way around to reach Newt, he reached out and pat him on the arm and whispered "You're it," before continuing his run.
Being Leaps' principal trainer, Janius answered Jo'rashaad's question with a shaking of his head initially. "No, actually he only seems to use it in threatening situations exclusively. I haven't taught him to use it while hunting, but he seems to have a good sense for when someone has hostile intent. He is remarkably clever that way. He has never shocked someone by accident..." Janius narrowed one eye and smiled, "Well, except for when he was a hatchling, but he could barely make a spark back then."

Leaps made a struggling croak and rolled onto his back, exposing his belly to Ciinriel.

"I'm confident that he'll pose no danger," Janius concluded, "He knows you all at this point."

In spite of Tzirret inevitably looking and sounding tired, he gave Ma'tanza a warm smile. "It is fine," he nodded, "This one will see you then." Tzirret's eyes flicked briefly to M'ibasa looking impatient and he chuckled. He then put a hand on Ma'tanza's shoulder and gave her a light push in the direction that M'ibasa was urging. "Go on, then," he said with a grin.

Tzirret couldn't help but feel the urge to pull Ma'tanza in to kiss her. Though, he didn't want to take up any more of their time.
...
P.S. @Muttonhawk, White Giants and Humans. Humans were made independently of Slough. Does that mean White Giants attack Humans?

As much as I would like them not to as a player, they would be attacked by white giants, yes. However, given how similar their make-up is to other Sloughant life, a case could be made against them being attacked if someone wanted to build it. Otherwise, there are plenty of giants that have died for various reasons. Whenever they die there is basically a small empty territory available for settlement.

Both.
I want both.

A railgun that shoots scythes.
"From what I recall, they caught Sabine off guard and held her at knife point," Janius explained, facing Leaps with a smile. "We were all naked with arrows pointing at us, the children included. We couldn't do anything without risking lives. They were going to take our belongings and Divines know what else, but then..." Janius looked past Jo'rashaad and held his hand out facing downwards as if gesturing to the scene as it was. "Up on the ridge where our camp was, we saw a creeping shadow, then a faint light, and then an arc of lightning shot down. It struck Sabine's captor and the bandits all flinched. Sabine shot out some fire and escaped, terrified as she was. The bandits quickly found out that they got more than they bargained for and we came out of it relatively unscathed."

Fendros added, "I seem to remember Leaps getting a nasty wound after he joined the fight. We were lucky that he had good healers."

"Valiant." Janius nodded, "He was valiant that night."

Inwardly, Tzirret's entire mind breathed a sigh of relief as he returned Ma'tanza's hug. When Ma'tanza worked out something of a flaw in his idea, he owned up immediately, running his hand over his head. "Yes, Tzirret will admit that he found it difficult to think of something small you could wear, S'nishi," Tzirret said, looking up at her large face, "He figured that you might have someone tie it to your armour or baggage like Ma'tanza said."

When M'ibasa remembered to thank him, Tzirret gave a smile. "You are welcome. Now," Tzirret raised a finger, sounding more confident after his success, "Tzirret promised he would not waste the time you will have with your sisters, so he will distract you all no longer. He thinks he may have seen some sweetcakes with the rations when he retrieved his breakfast. There maybe some left if you hurry."
I'm going to be a bit busy today. I probably won't get another post in for another several hours.
Janius at the very least gave an uneasy laugh at that memory. It was perhaps clearer to everyone else more than himself that he didn't know whether that memory was more worrying or humourous. "I think there may be no other option than to keep him outside of the cities when he gets to that point." Janius tried to turn things around to give Leaps some credit as he leaned forward slightly, "He's not all mischief, though. He did save Sabine's life on the way here."

It was more of a reminder to Tzirret than a realisation that Ma'tanza was putting more focus on M'ibasa than himself today. In his tired state it was not as obvious but he did not react adversely. It did, however, make it a little awkward to deliver his gifts.

Tzirret lifted a hand to try and get just a few more moments of attention. "Uh, hey, look, Tzirret knows that you wish to savour this time left, so he will not bother you long. He knows how close you all are..." Tzirret frantically reached into a belt pouch and pulled out something hidden by his closed fist, "But he made something for all of you to remember each other while you are separated."

Tzirret opened his hand in front of them to reveal a small bone disc made up of three segments connected by round branches that locked loosely into the segments adjacent. On the faces of each segment were very small renditions of Khajiit faces. They seemed to roughly resemble the three siblings repeatedly, such that each segment had carvings of two of the three. Each segment had a leather cord to tie it somewhere on one's person. Tzirret demonstrated how the three segments separated and handed them out.

"This one got the idea from jewellery he saw in Bruma once," he explained, "Each of you keep a piece and put them together when you reunite." Tzirret wanted to keep the gift quick and it showed with the tension he displayed while standing before them. He at least managed a smile.
Fendros gave Leaps a thoughtful look. "I had assumed that he would be joining us, but now that you mention it, you're right, the desert isn't good for him." Fendros gave S'ajira and Jo'rashaad an apologetic look, "He's...not too hard the take care of. He just needs to be fed twice a day and given some stimulation. He is even smart enough to relieve himself in a tray if you prompt him where. He mostly gets stimulation from the children, actually. He never wanders far from them and he seems a bit protective at times." Fendros' face changed with another thought, "But it's not fair that we suddenly hand him off. I'm sure we can find someone else to watch him while we're gone."

Leaps twisted his head enjoyably under Ciinriel's hand. With a friendly croak he lifted his chin onto her leg.

The corners of Tzirret's mouth along with his ears went up as he spotted Ma'tanza and her family enter the dining hall. He was surprised to see them as soon as he did. Raising his hand, he waved to them in greeting.

"Good morning," he said perhaps a bit too chirpily as they approached, given M'ibasa's apparent mood. "How is everyone feeling?"

In addition to his greetings, Tzirret stood up to give Ma'tanza a quick hug.
No problem. G'night!
I think you got S'ajira and S'nishi mixed up in your last post.
