Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Conatapost part 5 of 6 completed.

The reinforcements soon closed the gap with Meesei's pack and formed ranks to repel the Falmer ahead. The rate at which the blind creatures were dying only increased with the combined steel, magic, arrows, claws, and teeth.

After a moment, Fendros observed that the numbers of archers and mages above had thinned from the suppressing arrows that he and the warriors around him were launching. He instead turned the volleys towards the crowd around Kaleeth. The attention she was getting had bunched the Falmer up and kept them facing away. They were the easiest shots to make out of all of them. An order later and Fendros joined in loosing a flight of arrows into the crowding Falmer.

Sabine replaced her now empty potion skin back in her bag, feeling empowered again to launch deadly frost over the enemy. However, before she could even bring ice spike spells to her hands, she noticed Janius listing slightly as he tried to defend against one of the Falmer spear warriors. He was slow and off-balance. Sabine had a good guess at what was affecting him. She shouted out. "Janius! Get back!"

By now, Janius could barely see further than an arm's length in front of himself. The din of battle around him was fading into a melded racket beyond all recognition and his arm had gone from painful to numb. He was barely able to strike out at his opponent. He took the order to step back by Sabine when a clear spike of ice appeared in the Falmer spearman's eye socket and slumped to the floor. He couldn't quite turn around, so he began stumbling backwards. He fell backwards into Ahnasha by the time he realised that he was losing consciousness.
The focus on Kaleeth was a minor help to the rest of the pack, despite the extra hits that she was taking. Sabine had enough time to pull out a magicka potion to replenish her reserves, while Janius had an easier time with fewer opponents in his slowly blurring vision.

However, that small fortune was not going to be enough. There were still more Falmer than they could handle on their own. They were dependent on the reinforcements. The sounds of barking orders from the elevator were the first sign of relief. The next was a Falmer falling from the vantage points above with an arrow through its throat. The roar was the true signal for the fight to turn around.

Fendros could be seen leading out a small group of archers to fire volleys at the enemy above. Most went to ground, retreated, or were hit. The fighters that streamed out took a mix of transforming and forming a new line to flank the enemies around the fountain. Only one warrior was left behind with the lift to take it back up and collect more fighters.

"They're here! We're..." Janius stopped to deflect another Falmer sword and chopped the creature's upper arm open. A shriek of pain later and Janius had brought another chop to its neck. He stepped to regain his swaying balance. His cut arm felt like it was on fire. "We're saved."
The situation had not gotten any better for the pack now that they were under shelter. Whatever harm they had to withstand under arrow fire was being replaced by the sheer numbers crashing against them.

Janius tried his best to find opportunities to quickly strike out against his multiple opponents. A shield helped immensely, though he did not have space to do much more than cut at the enemy arms as they lashed out with their chitinous weaponry. Meesei said to hold, so they would hold.

Behind, Sabine had too many targets to cover. She tried dissuading the flankers by casting a stream of frost against the floor around them that radiated such a chill that the ice crystals alone looked like enough to cause immediate frostbite. The frost lingered to harm and slow any that passed over it. Between that and the ice spikes she was launching out, she was running out of magicka.

Another gobbet of poison spat his way forced Janius to reflexively raise his shield again. This time, it left him open enough for a cold pressure to run across an exposed part of his weapon arm. He then shouted out and bashed the offending weapon away with his shield. The pain ran though his arm a second later, but it was more than a shallow cut suggested. There was a dull burning feeling. Thankfully, at least, the Falmer that had cut him with its mandible axe was not skilled enough to stop Janius' axe cutting into its skull.
Be careful of writing in woodworks. We have a termite in this RP.
Sabine took a moment to throw one last ice spike at the mage above to disable it, but she regretted hesitating to speak instead. "There is poison!" She shouted. It was meant to be a warning against foregoing armour to transform, but it was too late to stop Kaleeth.

Janius turned to focus on blocking incoming arrows now that the way to the fountain was clear, though Saras and Sabine's conflicting advice put him at a loss. "Alpha? What should we do?!" he asked. The encroaching reinforcements the Falmer were bringing forth only further diminished his making an independent decision.

"Almost there, visualise it," Gallus offered after Peiter's next throw. "Mmm, that much hasn't changed about Tzirret, at least not completely." Gallus looked sideways at Peiter and shrugged one shoulder. "Look, it might just be the case that he wants to help but doesn't want to make you cross. Now that Sabine's away for a while, try catching up with him at some point."

After Peiter's final knife was thrown, Gallus shook his head slightly. "Anyway, I trust you to do what you need. Don't let my nagging get to you, hmhm."

For what it was worth, the rest of the session had Peiter at least improve a little with his throwing technique. The rest of the topics of conversation were limited to small talk and catching up. At least there was still plenty to talk about in this new place. The pair eventually finished up to complete other tasks for the day, but Gallus made sure that Peiter at least had something to do.
Yeah, I'm on the last topic I really wanted to touch on between Peiter and Gallus. I'm about to head to sleep, so there's no rush in adding to your post.

I'm happy to summarise the skirmishes, too.
Rather than procrastinating from my posts on this RP by playing luftrausers, I got some progress tonight!

Two out of six parts of Conata's growing up post are done!

I feel good! I think I might try for a bit more so I can continue procrastinating from uni work by writing for this RP.

The Falmer's strength took Janius by surprise. It took him a moment to regain his balance after his attack was deflected, allowing the creature's chitin sword to crash against his cuirass and force him to take a further step back. Once Janius regained his footing, he regained control, parrying the next swing with his shield and counter-attacking by thrusting the blade of his axe to cut at the Falmer's throat.

Sabine moved with the frontline, not daring to stray. In the moment where they were halted in fighting for the fountain, she charged a larger icy spear spell in one hand and aimed carefully at the one that appeared to be charging magic itself. Sabine didn't even know if the creature was capable of raising a ward, but even if it did, the spell would make it stumble back. She let the spell fly, shooting out an arm length icicle from her palm.

"What's taking Fendros so blasted long!?" Janius shouted. "There are too many of them to clear out here! Would a lycan's roar at least discourage them?!"

"Good throw," Gallus commented. "Your spin is off by just a touch, though. Try to let go an instant later. Your aim's good."

After Peiter's answer, Gallus spoke in an easy tone. "Oh, most certainly. He's been trying new things more than usual and he's much...more open now. But..." Gallus itched at the back of his head. "I've just noticed that he seems a little lost while you're around. It might be that he's worried and doesn't know what to say." Gallus shrugged. "It might be nothing. It could be nice to have a quick chat to him, just to let him know that he doesn't have to behave that way. It's no good for brothers to avoid one another."
