Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

No problem.
I may as well have Gallus return to the Clanhome unless you have anything in store for his journey back. Should I do that in my next post or put it on the list for later so the timelines don't diverge too much?
During the conversation to catch up, there were a number of small events that returned to Ariel and Rukeewei's memories that contradicted their claims that 'not much' had changed. Mostly innocuous events to entertaining anecdotes were shared with joy in recounting. In turn, the pack found that they had plenty to talk about once they settled into the exchange. In particular, Sabine shared the more publicly safe details about her previous relationship with Peiter now that she and Ariel were able to speak face-to-face about it. The more general details life in the new clanhome as well as the sojourn south to Elsweyr was also discussed further.

While the catch-up did take a while, Meesei's words signalled that it was about to wrap up for now. Ariel's smile lowered, but she gave an understanding nod.

"Right, um," Ariel looked to Rukeewei unsurely. "One of the rooms, if one is free, maybe? There aren't many private places here that can comfortably fit everyone, aren't there?"

What language of gods? XD To my knowledge, the Gods can simply make it so no one can understand them when talking if they want. I don't think there's an established common language of the Gods yet...

EDIT: unless you mean each God's personally created language... in that case i don't really know how to feel about this.

What Termite said. However, there is nothing saying that gods cannot still make it to so one can understand them as they please. That's just exercising their power.

Edit: Also, I'm glad that the events at Rulanah have more-or-less been synchronised now. The latest post was set directly after the Conata post where the realta struck her home, if that wasn't clear. But yeah! Now Toun has a hero, Conata's mountainhome has a name, and the Rovaick are on the up-and-up!
With the amount of people referring to the White Ocean as the Metallic ocean rather than the Metatic ocean, I'm going to consider that misnomer canon as a practical joke of Vestec's design.

Welcome to the pantheon, crazy crow lady.
@LokiLeo789 Conata might have found some gold, but whether it's valued or not has not concerned her.

Even if it is, aluminium is rarer than gold yet still more available than in Earth's bronze age, so that might get some value as well. I remember at least one Xerxian official was wearing a giant-bone earring at some point.
You're the best, @poog the pig.
It would make sense for Cuts to say more, seeing as he's been travelling with Gallus for a while. However, keeping to Cuts playing a minimal role, I could just summarise that. It would be more meaningful for Gallus to discuss the issue with Meesei and/or Ri'vashi anyway.

I just kept it open ended in case Cuts had some bright ideas given the situation.
@BBeast HMmmm...I wonder who would-

CHAOS GODS
"Is that so?" Ariel responded, oblivious to what was under Lorag's tone. "It sounds nice that you have set your community there."

"It is not as good to farm, but we have found...other ways to sustain ourselves," Sabine said.

Fendros leaned forward onto his forearms. "Last time we were here, you seemed to be doing well with your cosmetics. Are they still your main products? Have you come up with anything else unique?"

Ariel's eyes went up to the ceiling. "Well, the pigments are still quite popular. The cosmetics have been going steadily, but there isn't an awful lot more in the range. Well, apart from a few tweaks." Ariel levelled her head. "I have had some success with a defoliant. A kind of alchemical plant poison for making sure that gutters do not get blocked by roots before floods. The trick was to make sure that it didn't affect any people living in the area, and of course not to do any harm to Hist roots."

"Yeah," Gallus said without joy. "I did lose my temper. That does not often happen, I just...I thought I could help." Gallus lifted his hands and looked down at his palms. "After all that pain I saw. From Dar-Tzesa, and from Yizan-Lei back there, I thought I could help somehow." He sighed and closed his hands. "I feel like I've failed them both."

Gallus had slowed to a stop at this point. He simply stood, open mouthed and staring at his lightly closed fists. He stayed that way for an uncertain while, disconnected from the all the bustling of the street around him.

Taking on a stronger face, Gallus swallowed hard, lowered his arms, and lifted his head to keep on walking.
