Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Sure.

This conspiracy is running deep, my dudes.
Lunise cast her face up and took a breath. "Well..." She hummed, frowning.

Taking a step, Lunise slid onto the bed beside Meesei, seated sideways with one arm holding up her upper body. "From what I know of her, she would probably try to stop us," Lunise said regretfully. "Father saw Artaeum from such a distance that trying to get there might not even work, but all the same, Artaeum is filled with people that would prefer they were not trespassed. They would notice you trying to teleport there with that conspicuous spell of yours and have some sort of countermeasure, I am sure. Whether by visiting us directly or purposely disrupting your spell herself, mother would make sure that we are not hurt against Artaeum's defences." Lunise looked down. "But even of that, I am not sure. I have been in many life threatening situations since the island disappeared. She has never directly intervened." Lunise idly curled her fingers over her upper leg, where her clothing hid her scars.

Lunise lifted her chin. "Meesei, I appreciate the sentiment, but I accepted long ago that I may not see my mother for another century or two." She looked pained. "It is enough for me to know she is watching."
Oh well, I still think it's a funny coincidence. Next I'll be hearing that Capy repairs grandfather clocks as a side job and BBeast is building an atomic clock for fun.
So, I just had my last exam probably ever yesterday. I'll be keeping myself busy for the next few months, but there'll be a higher post rate from me for now.

Just some bureaucracy left and I'll have my degree!
Lunise loosened her arms to allow Meesei room to move her head. "I am not sure if I could let them know me like you do, Meesei," she said, straightening her head and looking away. "I could trust them, I think. They have demonstrated themselves loyal and capable, each one. But I do not want to be overstepping my influence around Marod. As well, teleporting them to me while we are apart would put our secrecy under strain."

Meesei's question caused Lunise to look down at her with a trace of surprise. A few seconds later and her expression returned to its usual neutrality. "Certainly, I would want to visit her. I have not spoken to her since the last time she visited me. That was before Artaeum vanished. Before you were born, even." Lunise closed her eyes and curled her lips between her teeth for a moment. "Before you ask, I never set foot there. I do not have a mental image you can teleport to. Even if I did, Artaeum's inhabitants do not want to be found. I highly doubt it would be that straightforward."
@Muttonhawk Things you do yourself in your own mill or forge are one thing, but operating advanced machinery requires more than experience. Thankfully I don't need to go through that, but I still need to work with watch straps and it can be annoying sometimes.

Wait, what exactly are you doing?

Don't tell me we have two crazy watchmakers in this RP.

In other news, my final exam was far easier than I thought. Just some bureaucracy for conferral and my studies are done and dusted. I think I'll be posting a bit more often for the next few months.
I don't know about needing a college education for it. Machining always looked like more of a vocational thing to me. Then again, I've never looked into it past videos of people making cool stuff on milling machines, lathes, etc.
Meesei's attempt to steer to another subject did not stop Lunise from looking into her eyes sympathetically. "I am sorry that happened to you," she said. "That your pack helped you after such a time and experience...they must truly be loyal and loving. You are lucky to have them."

Lunise stood up from her chair and stepped to face Meesei. She wrapped her arms around Meesei's neck and shoulders and held her head tenderly against the base of her chest. Meesei could hear her calm heartbeat. "You have suffered more than anyone could be expected to, let alone one Argonian from a tribe in Black Marsh. I say you deserve any benefit you gained from that realm, and then better, for what it did."

While still gentle, Lunise's tone shifted to partly cynical. "As for the Psijics, from what mother told me, they merely see the world through a different model. While useful, it can be rather dogmatic. It is one of the reasons I preferred not to join her."
@Slime Become a machinist. It's the next best thing these days.
Remph is one of them, yeah. I have a few pieces from angelarium stocked away. I think I saw invasion moderator before but decided that it wasn't quite at the style I would use Toun's stuff, even if it was close, so you're fine there.

It's no big deal, though. Just use what you want as you need them and I won't mind.
