If I'm a Sittin', I'm a Knittin'

NAME:
-Rohan Nott

ALIAS:
-The Knitter

ABILITIES/SKILLS/EQUIPMENT:
 • Knitting – From stitches to wales, Rohan has mastered the art of knitting. Having learnt the skill at an early age, Rohan can practically knit anything he can think of, given he has enough yarn at hand. Due to his talent at this, he can knit fairly quickly, with a 60” scarf taking around 30-60 seconds to manufacture.
 • Enchanted Knitting Needles – Inherited from his grandmother, Rohan has found that he is able to mysteriously control anything that he has knitted using these knitting needles, such as his small knitted animal creations. These knitting needles seem to allow him to knit much faster too, almost as if they have a mind of their own. Some of his knitted creations using these needles involve:

 • Rohan mostly uses the needles to create yarn puppets/animals, which he fondly refers to as Knittens. From time to time, he gives them knitting needles for teeth and/or claws.
 • Rohan also uses the needles to knit yarn into numerous other creations, such as lassos for combat, or makeshift ladders, etc.

 • Knitting Needles – Razor sharp, Rohan makes use of a collection of metallic knitting needles for both knitting and for close quartered combat.
 • Yarn - Rohan carries around a small bag full of yarn of all different colours, variety and brands.

LIMITATIONS AND WEAKNESSES:
- Rohan has no superhuman abilities and is essentially a normal human being. While his current costume is fitted with a Nomex body-piece, his arms and head remain unprotected so he is vulnerable from bullets, knives, and the like. He is only just being to work out on a regular basis so isn’t relatively fit at this moment in time, although he’s getting better.
One considerable weakness is that while the enchanted yarn he makes use of won’t snap under intense pressure, it is extremely vulnerable to fire.

SAMPLE POST:
”What’s wrong, Ro?”

Rohan looked up at his Grammy as she spoke. He had been sat at the kitchen table ever since he had returned home from school. Evident by the way he had been gazing glumly out at the rain outside through the kitchen, as well as the fact that he had been sat in front of a bowl of uneaten cereal for the past half an hour, he was upset.

“I… I took some of my hats in for show and tell.” Rohan replied softly, wiping his face clean of tears. That was when the boy reached down from where he was sat, and pulled a plastic carrier bag onto the table. The bag and its contents were dripping with water, with the brightly coloured hats that Rohan had spent hours knitting now resembling screwed up rags.

“They laughed at me.” Rohan continued, fixing his eyes once more on the rain outside. “They called me gay.”

The sound of the chair screeching against the floor echoed around the dimly lit kitchen as Grammy pulled out the chair to Rohan’s left. Sitting down she let out a long sigh, before placing a beautifully carved wooden box on the table in front of her. At this point, Rohan had returned his attention to his Grammy, with him now staring intently at the wooden box, questionably.

“Rohan, listen love.” Grammy began, her soothing voice seemingly brightening the room as it left her mouth. “Don’t worry about being different. They’re probably just jealous of your talent. Your knitting is beautiful, deary!”

Rohan seemed to blush at the comment, giving his Grammy a warm smile.

“What’s in the box?” He asked, inquisitively.

Grammy chuckled to herself slightly at the question, before reaching down towards the box.

“Something that I was given when I was just around the same age as you!” She explained, opening the lid. “Something that is going to make your art even more beautiful than ever before.

To Rohan’s surprise, the box was relatively empty, save for a pair of elegantly widdled knitting needles.

He’s one of those heroes who tries to constantly make puns related to their personal gimmick, i.e. knitting puns. He also regularly pays visits to homeless shelters, where he donates numerous pieces of knitwear to those who need it.

It'd be awesome if the Green Lanterns of old fought Marvel's AIM.

It would seem that East has a higher technological advantage between Atlas, Annex and Cobalt. Speed, eh, XLR8 takes it with Sentinel and F-Bomb. Magic pretty much belongs to West at this moment. But East has Aqualad.

Yes, but need I remind you that East will have a guy who knits

Yeah this is me confirming that I'm going ahead with Knitter
Thinking about it, I don't know if I should bother finishing my Knitter CS. I know the powers aren't exactly the same (by a long shot), but regardless he's too similar to Green Lantern in my opinion. What do you think?
@Natty: Will Iceman be avaliable for a team-up with Spider-Man and Firestar against Silvermane and his gang (as referenced two Spider-Man posts ago? Just wondering.

Yeah sure that should be fine!

“So, there’s bad news, Ted” Tracy’s voice rang through the cockpit of the Bug, jolting Chicago’s number one hero, the Blue Beetle, back into focus after a brief excavation of his nose with his finger. Wiping away the booger, the blue clad hero hastily replied.

“I’m all ears! Well actually I’m not literally made entirely of ears but I’m listening.”

Silence followed the hilarious joke, followed by a deep sigh from Tracy’s end on the communicator. Thinking nothing of It, Ted waited gleefully.

“Ok.” Tracy continued, obviously making an effort to keep her voice calm. “I’ve run through all the record of Mercy Hospital, like you asked, and guess what I found?”

“Nothing?”

“The opposite actually. Take a look.” At once the screen in front of Ted sprung into life, with what appeared to be a stream of what Tracy was currently doing on the Beetle Computer appearing. Ted watched as Tracy strolled through the records, which displayed a whole range of scarred and disfigured faces. Ted instantly understood what she had meant. There were too many to count, and with no way to refine the search, they would have to spend hours reviewing each individual burn victim. Even then they may not even find this crazy Firefist guy.

Ted groaned in annoyance as he switched off the monitor. Honestly he had thought that this was going to be a simple mission. Save the people from the burning building; job done. It seemed however that unless he did something, more people could possibly be in danger. His mind shot back to the little girl he had rescued minutes prior. He remembered her screams in the building. Her crying. No, he couldn’t let that happen again.

“Thanks, Trace” He replied, trying to sound optimistic. Ignoring her comments about not calling her Trace, he continued. “I’m going to go grab dinner and as soon as I get back, I’ll get to work on search for our new pal!”

Smiling to himself, Ted deactivated the ships autopilot, steering to the left towards the coastline. It was hot dog time!

As the Bug neared the Kord Omniversal building, Ted took another bite of his hot dog before flicking a switch to his left. At once a short hum echoed through the cabin; otherwise known as the sound of the camouflage system activating. In other words the retro-reflective panels on the hull activated, rending the vessel invisible from the ground below. The Bug slowed over the Kord building’s roof, stopping above a now opening circular hole in the room. Pulling down on the controls, the ship descended, the blue light of the “Beetle Cave” washing through the cockpit.

Not witnessing the commotion taking place in the penthouse in front of the ship, Ted made his way out, hot dog still in his hand.

“You really need to try this Trace!” He exclaimed as he strolled out of the Bug and into the room. That was when his eyes lay upon the sight ahead of him. Next to a now face palming Tracy stood a very peculiar dressing man.

“Hey, you’re Green Lantern!” Ted managed to shout, despite his mouth being full of sausage and bun. Then he began to take in further details on the costume, causing him to swallow his mouthful in confusion. “Wait… you’re yellow. Shit.”

Ted took the whole guy in, from his golden and blue suit, to the golden toaster that hovered in the air next to him.

“Who the hell are you?”

BE SILENT!

Also, I already have Miles Warren to do that. :D

Well if you're pulling a clone saga, I say every character gets their own clone, just for the hell of it!
I pretty sure I'm not about ready to kill of MJ.

Why not have Gwen brought back and just fuck everything up?

In my example post he's going to the US, and was getting Fury to give him an escort/Guard.

Can you imagine the hilarity if Fury gave him Reed?

“Oh, Frosty, the Snowman, was a jolly happy soul!”

Bobby voice sang cheerfully over the sounds of the carnage that was ensuing on the dimly lit street in Salem Center. The X-men moved through the air at a startling rate, a column of ice appeared beneath his feet as he moved. Below him, a very peculiar battle was taking place. Monstrous shapes of ice lumbered about, with the ice golems striking any enemy that crossed them with a frosty appendage. Their enemies? Purifiers. A group of religious mutant hating terrorists.

Terrorists. As if the media would ever call anyone killing mutants that. The thought made Bobby sick.

Deciding to take his mind off such things, Bobby thought it was time to join the fray. Turning sharply, Iceman stopped circling the conflict, with him instead diving straight down into it. His fist collided with the head of a hooded Purifier as he landed, with Iceman knocking him off guard. Moving his frozen fist once more, he brought it up, sucker punching the whack job from below. Before he could make a witty remark or an ice related pun however, Bobby caught sight of another Purifier turning his high tech rifle towards him.

Moving up his arms, a wall of ice jutted out of the ground in front of him, acting as a blockade as the man fire his rifle. The icy barricade was no match for the gun’s energy blast however, with the wall exploding into pieces and disappearing as quickly as it had appeared. Reacting quickly, the mutant shot a blast of ice from his now outstretched arm, with him freezing the man’s gun solid. It shattered as the man reared back in shock, giving the hero ample opportunity to burst forward and finish the job.

The sound of squealing echoed through the group. Turning Bobby found himself impressed, with every Purifier down for the count. Well, nearly everyone. The groups apparently leader seemed to be the last man remaining. Something he was very aware of.

“This won’t be the last you’ll see of me, you abomination!” He bellowed at the hero before turning to run.

The thought made Bobby chuckle slightly as he watched the man sprint up the road.

Iceman looked around himself briefly at the surround ice golems, who seemed to be watching too.

“A ball, if you will, Squire” Bobby requested smugly, holding up his hand expectantly.

One of the golems next to him dropped what appeared to be a snowball into his hand.

Smiling, Bobby moved his fingers and coated the ball in a thick layer of ice. He readied himself. He only had one shot.

“Oh, Frosty, the Snowman…” Bobby began to sing once more.

Bobby threw the ball. It hurtled through the air, descending upon the running racist. The man dropped to the floor as it collided with his body.

“…was alive as he could be.”

It didn’t take long for Bobby to clean up the mess he had made. The ice golems simply collapsed into slush, leaving a muddle puddle around a group of unconscious hooded men. The tiring part had been moving the knocked out group onto the pavement, where Bobby had lined their bodies against a wall before giving each Purifier a pair of their very own handcuffs made of ice.

He decided to the leave the scene straight away after calling the police. Knowing them, they’d probably find a way of arresting them too. However before this, Bobby had taken a look at the Purifier’s weapons. Their kit seemed like highly advanced tech. It was so much different from when the X-men had last gone against them. So different that Bobby even found it quite suspicious. Who had given them this stuff? Deciding that it would probably be best not to let the tech fall into the hands of the likes of the police, Bobby rubbed his hands together and worked his magic.

Minutes later Bobby was making his way back to the mansion, a horde of snowmen following him, their arms full of weapons.
