Unique? Well, that certainly was one way to put it.
But... teach her how to master it? Kanako felt her heart lift with hope at the prospect. No more falling through her bed in the middle of the night? No more falling through the floor of her shower, naked and dripping wet, into that old lady who lived beneath her's apartment?
It sounded, to be honest, too good to be true. She was so distracted by that thought that she almost missed the fact that a robot --'Smokey', apparently-- was beeping out a greeting to her. "Um, hello!" she said, unsure of how to properly greet a robot.
She was dreading the test that they were apparently going to make her take. What if they made her use her powers? Could she manage to phase quickly enough that her clothes didn't get left behind?
Also, there was apparently an interview. And then she saw Taro.
"Taro!" she squealed, suddenly feeling much better. He fell into step with her, and she bumped his arm with her elbow. "Man, I am so glad you're here!"
She really was. Facing the boss? Okay, so he was a bit of a dragon, but he'd be nothing with Taro by her side! They were, after all, the masters of shenanigans, the greatest Knight-Esper duo to walk the earth!
Or so Kanako liked to tell herself, anyway. Even if her powers weren't really up to scratch, Taro's physical abilities totally made up for them! ...right?
"Of course I'll face the boss with you," she told him. Kanako bit her lip. "Buuuuut I'm honestly a little more worried about this test. I mean... is it a combat test? I'm really not keen on dying today."
