Roleplay Interests: Star Trek, Final Fantasy VII, Pokémon and FFXIV. Pretty much exclusively right now. Doctor Who if you can sell me on a plot idea. I am very hesitant to roleplay in an original world, because I enjoy fleshing out my characters, and a lot of times original worlds lack a lot of the information I need to effectively roleplay. I roleplay PG-13 scenarios. I'm 30 IRL, but mature themes just aren't my cup of tea in general. If you desire more, I’m open to conversation. I tend to avoid relationship-based RPs, though some of my characters are more prone to it than others. I have no control over Emet-Selch—he does what he wants.
Roleplay Style: For the most part, I can't RP a child. Which of course is entirely awkward for most Pokémon RPs, so on the whole I'd much prefer to RP a Pokémon instead of a Trainer. I also largely RP males, though I've been known to play other things. I'm also entirely fine RPing Canon characters of my preferred Fandoms, and I like to think I do a good job? You can expect two paragraphs minimum from me, pretty much universally, with no cap. Sometimes I won't shut up. That said, I try to write concise posts—meat and potatoes. Once upon a time I wrote in purple, but I really don't have time for that anymore. With certain partners I can do bursts of rapid-fire, but at that point my responses will shorten.

Pent almost fell over digging through his pack when finally Aenir floated over, using Psychic to lure out a blue handheld device. A technophile would identify it as Lysandre Lab's very own Holo Caster. Though it had a strap to hang around the neck, Pent found it uncomfortable. Clearly, falling over to get to it was a significant improvement.
The floating Holo Caster made its way over to Sirina so that she could enter her number. Aenir the Froslass looked to her expectantly.
At Nana's words Aenir let out a huff. <Not impossible, no, but I'm certain he would have mentioned something about that. It's not as if he can keep a secret. Ever.> Glancing to Nana she replied, <...I see. I suppose that sheds some light on Pent's... apprehension towards help. He's finally now accepted the fact that sometimes it's necessary, but...> Putting a ribbon-like hand to her forehead she let out a soft groan, <I-I don't know. It's difficult to know how to handle the situation sometimes. What do you do...?>
Almost like magic, Devon offered Pent assistance. Assistance the man loathed, but most definitely needed. A lot. A soft, defeated groan escaped the professor's lips. "I-I'll be... fine. If I'm slowing everyone down... don't worry, you can go on ahead. I won't take offense. I can meet up with everyone in the next city, or if Jill wakes up I could potentially fly there..." It was clear the man was babbling. Shinon gave him a little nudge. "I really do not wish to cause everyone problems. If you're hungry or tired, it's fine..." With those words said, he continued to awkwardly trudge along.

When Aenir was grilled by Nana, she hung her head letting out a light huff. <He's lived in Dendemille Town for his entire life up until he went on his journey. Vulpix and Ninetales are not native to Kalos, thus it would be exceedingly unlikely that he encountered one.> Putting a wispy arm to her chin she continued, <Besides... he's lived a rather mundane life thus far... Save his journey when he was younger.>
At Nana's offer to protect Pent, Shinon the Lucario shook his head. <I do sincerely appreciate the offer, but it shouldn't be necessary. I will suggest that he should acquire a service Pokémon, but he's very... sensitive...>
Pent had been busying himself with standing. Which was truly a chore. At least until Liza revealed her curious Pokégear which was unlike anything the Kalosian had ever seen before. "What a curious device..."
When they began moving, it was a bit of a struggle as the man limped along uneven ground. Pavement was fine, for the most part, as were other even surfaces. The dirt and grass routes between cities? It was walking set on Hard Mode. Especially if there were rocks.
Watching as his Trainer struggled, Shinon stood near the limping man, wishing that there were more he could do to help. Aenir keep vigilant in the event she needed to catch her Trainer with Psychic. Which was quite a common occurrence at this point.
Finally, Pent mustered up some more commentary regarding Liza's device. "Truly, it's a Sinnoh prototype? That's absolutely fascinating! It almost resembles the Holocaster from Kalos, with a few differences. Astounding. Technology is something, isn't it?"
So far the only allowed legendaries are the one on the list. Most of the other ones, including Mew, have been shot down. I believe Keldeo plans to update the list sometime to perhaps include more.
As for Megas, a normal one is fine. Custom ones are just a part of the main plot.
My group has a guy using a cane and a girl in a wheelchair. It's also not sundown for them, it's around 4-5PM, and still Day 1. That said, I would pretty much bet anything they're going to spend the night at the Pokemon Center; they're not going to be making good time. I really would rather not timeskip with my group either, since they just met and character interaction is important. They will EVENTUALLY make it to Vertigo City, certainly... it just might be a while, you know?
I mean yeah do what you want but basically my point is besides potentially your character and @Sketcher, no one's going to be there. The farthest anyone's gotten so far was the Pokemon Center at the halfway point. Just saying if you guys want some character interaction... it's not going to happen with the majority of the players.
Route 701: New Amber Town <-> Vertigo City - A forest covered route that treads over a few hills along the way. It will take several hours and sometimes a day or two to walk, luckily there is a Pokemon Center along the way.
Everyone is getting to Vertigo City SUPER quickly. The people traveling by foot are NOT going to get there any time soon.
The continuity is what we were getting at when we asked about time. We just pushed it under the rug as a random battle and NOT that specific instance.
On time skips. I'd rather not? At least not while I'm literally in the middle of character interaction with a new trainer Pent's never met before. Once character interaction is established and stuff... then sure?

You should also know that I am quite... frigid.>
Looking up at Pent, Shinon translated the Froslass' words. Tell Sirina that she can touch Aenir.
A warm smile crossed Pent's lips as he understood his Lucario's emanations. Looking to Sirina he spoke, "You may of course touch Aenir, however I will warn you of two things. The first being her Ability is Cursed Body, so please do be gentle. Secondly, she is rather cold, so I advise against touching her for too long."
When Arcanine spoke about Pent, Aenir looked over, with a contemplative expression. <No, no, that's certainly impossible. I found him in Frost Cavern when he was very young. It was during a Diamond Dust storm... Regardless of circumstances I do suppose he was around eight.>
Shinon looked over to Nana as she spoke about how Pent should have a Service Pokémon. <That should not be necessary, I'm also fairly certain he would not qualify regardless. His vehicular incident was... well, it is the cause of his severe injuries. I do everything that I am able to keep Pent out of harm's way. Unfortunately, he is accident-prone, and I do not believe there's anything any one of us can do about it...> Letting out a soft sigh, his gaze fell to Sirina. <I do not believe that quality is something that can be transferred...> It was difficult to tell whether or not Shinon understood the statement was a joke.
Pent's gaze fell to Liza as she spoke about wanting to become Champion. A warm smile crossed the Lumiose Professor's lips. "Oh I see! Well then, that Amulet Coin will certainly serve you better. I do agree, however. Pokémon battles can be quite lucrative if you're successful it's just..." Scratching the back of his head he chuckled, "I've always wanted to research Pokémon instead. Battling takes up much time." Pent's brown eyes fell to each of the Trainers present. "I do hope you all enjoy yourselves, though! A journey with one's Pokémon partners is an experience of a lifetime."
Finally, the man looked over to Devon letting out an uneasy chuckle. "You're right, perhaps we should press onward."
