Roleplay Interests: Star Trek, Final Fantasy VII, Pokémon and FFXIV. Pretty much exclusively right now. Doctor Who if you can sell me on a plot idea. I am very hesitant to roleplay in an original world, because I enjoy fleshing out my characters, and a lot of times original worlds lack a lot of the information I need to effectively roleplay. I roleplay PG-13 scenarios. I'm 30 IRL, but mature themes just aren't my cup of tea in general. If you desire more, I’m open to conversation. I tend to avoid relationship-based RPs, though some of my characters are more prone to it than others. I have no control over Emet-Selch—he does what he wants.
Roleplay Style: For the most part, I can't RP a child. Which of course is entirely awkward for most Pokémon RPs, so on the whole I'd much prefer to RP a Pokémon instead of a Trainer. I also largely RP males, though I've been known to play other things. I'm also entirely fine RPing Canon characters of my preferred Fandoms, and I like to think I do a good job? You can expect two paragraphs minimum from me, pretty much universally, with no cap. Sometimes I won't shut up. That said, I try to write concise posts—meat and potatoes. Once upon a time I wrote in purple, but I really don't have time for that anymore. With certain partners I can do bursts of rapid-fire, but at that point my responses will shorten.

At the Noibat's approach, Nasir's gaze immediately darted to the potential threat. Well, it would have been a threat until the guised Zoroark realized it was nothing but a tiny child. It was also not a Pokémon he had ever seen before.
Devon spoke up, and Nasir gave a curt nod in agreement as he looked the Dragon-type over. "Most likely, it's... quite young."
Watching as the twenty-something chased after his Pokémon, he was a bit surprised when the man grabbed the little one by the scruff. Holding a hand up, Nasir was about to mention it was fine, but apparently it was under control. A piercing gaze then fell to Lilligant—a foreign Pokémon he was actually familiar with, thanks to his premiere contest. After examining the Trainer, Nasir noted that he would not be surprised to find that he participated in contests as well. That, or perhaps he was a Jason clone (Devon's long-time wealthy friend), time would tell.
Once the inspection was over, Nasir cracked a small smile. Turning to look over Shock, the black-haired man was surprised to hear that Leopold actually thought the Ampharos was well-groomed. Yes, he was taken care of. Maybe he was bathed, Nasir really didn't keep track of those details, but regardless, to hear that from someone decidedly Jason-like? Well, it was a first. Perhaps he really was not all that Jason-like, after all.
At Shock's commentary, Nasir let out a slight groan. "Tire isn't exactly the word I would use to describe your skin, Shock. Beach ball-like... perhaps? Well, regardless..." Smiling, Nasir looked to Devon briefly before focusing back on Leopold. "Leopold Prynce... it's a pleasure. I am Nasir."

Ranulf the Dragonite, Mist the Dratini[New Amber Town - Outside the Pokémon Center]

An older Trainer approached Ranulf. Though the brown-haired man was fairly tall—significantly more so than Celes—he was still dwarfed by the massive Dragonite. Peering down, the Dragonite blinked with a slightly confused expression. Opening his maw, he spoke in the Pokémon tongue, <Oh, you're talking to me?> Looking to the Pokémon Center at the man's suggestion, Ranulf furrowed his brows for a moment, deep in thought. <Ugh, I really don't want to let her sleep. This is the first day of her journey...>
Cradling Celes in one of his massive arms, he used his free claw to poke the small child in the ribs. <Celes, you're really making me look bad here.>
Wide-eyed, the sleeping child awoke, a rather startled expression on her face. "AHHHHHHHHH I'M BEING ATTACKED BY A MISDREA—" Looking to Ranulf for a moment, she blinked before scowling at the Dragonite. Giving it a few seconds, the small child burst out into laughter, sliding down the Dragonite's arm to reach the ground.
"We're here already?" Lavender eyes peered around before finally fixing on the brown-haired man standing before her. "Oh, hiya. Were you making friends with Ranulf here while I was napping? I'm Celes!"

Fair enough! I think the Pokedex says Metagross is pretty much literally a computer so you could probably hook him up to something... at the very least. Or, you know, telepathy for both of them. I'm sure it's possible.
Either way, I'd actually be very surprised if any of that happened in this RP. o-o

For all the other characters (sans Celes), I made sure there were lore reasons for the whole talking to humans thing. Celes was initially a joke character in another RP (the only sort-of canon I can even site is that Kangaskhan Kid from that old Indigo episode, or maybe N?), so I made it more as a WTF gimmick than really anything.
If it makes you feel better, she was so young when she was found that she adapted to understanding Dragonites since she was around them, and only them. Really though, Celes talks to Dragonites because she's Celes.

The Pokespeech thing started on another forum, and we just haven't stopped, honestly. I find it more realistic to have the Pokemon able to communicate with each other, anyway.
