The group discussed where they came from, which Renamon only paid some attention to. Clearly they were not from the Digital World, however it wasn't something she could offer an explanation to, or even any insight. It was as strange to her as it was them.

However, one thing was a cause for concern. Monodramon was convinced they were surrounded. Her gaze narrowed, "...Surrounded?" Closing her eyes, she let out an irritated sigh, "Well, if that's true, our only chance would be... the lake, once again..." Pondering everything, she continued, "Though that's not exactly a solution. If the lake breaks, we'll be trapped. Perhaps we could somehow slip through their defenses?" Looking around, she still didn't see much of anything. In the back of her mind, she wondered if the Monodramon was actually telling the truth.

Oh man, he wasn't the one we were supposed to win over? This... oh man, oh no. The way he worded it, we're... so totally not going to get to have dinner with either Selena or Ember. Arrgh, I can't believe this... Hanging her head somewhat, she lost the optimism she had previously. Thankfully, Devon still seemed confident in their abilities. At least someone was.

Giving Brute a nod, and then a small smile, she filed in behind Devon, putting her arms behind her back, her eyes trailing at the ground. I can't believe I talked us into this...

When Devon mentioned it'd be easier than fighting thieves, all she could mutter was a dejected, "Yeah..."

At Leanne's words, Lilisette met her gaze, giving a wave. "It's... nice to meet you too. Anyway, um, you see..." Averting her gaze, she closed her eyes. Arrrgh, no you can't... just give up! The dinner's important, you have to say something! Biting her lip, she did what she could to regain her composure, "So... Glyph's Guild is hosting a big... feast for Troupe Relm tonight, and it's a pretty big deal... I was just... wondering, if..."

Lilisette froze, unable to finish her sentence. Her eyes widened, fearful of rejection.

It had been a long evening for Karaha, though it had technically just started a few hours ago. His former traveling companion, Petra, decided that she wanted to explore the Quicksand Caves, as she inferred that it was her birth place.

Not that it mattered. Though Karaha had almost gotten his hopes up on having a traveling companion, it was true that what he planned to do was a path best traveled alone. Padding along, it wasn't long until he happened upon the Lily Tower. Hopefully this is the right one... otherwise, I'll need to travel across Sarutabaruta...

Looking up, a fairly short tower looked over the steppe; it towered over the treeline, but it wasn't exactly impressive by any means. At least, according to its size. It was constructed with large stones, all stacked up and filed to make what was supposed to resemble a baobab tree. In the distance, a few other towers of similar shape could be seen. Karaha assumed—hoped—they were the Amaryllis Tower and the Dahlia Tower.

At the base of the faux tree was a small tunnel. Padding through, he came upon a set of stairs that took him under the earth.

Once inside, he was surrounded by ancient looking stones with strange carvings. They likely didn't have meaning, and if they did they were likely some sort of energy conduit. They weren't runes or glyphs seen in ancient languages. Small light sources dotted the walls. Karaha was unsure if it was some sort of energy, or a luminescent fungus. Either way, it appeared to provide a stable, if dim, light source.

Once down the long, shallow staircase, the Umbreon reached the bottom. Looking around, it was a rather small, square-room, with small hallways branching off at each of the four corners. At the end of each hallway was a tiny room with strange, alien-like stone orbs situated in them.

Not that he could see the orbs in the small rooms, but he had visited the ruins a week previously, and was aware of their existence. Now let's see, which am I supposed to activate first? Or perhaps it matters not...

As the door opened, Lilisette's pupils contracted. I-I didn't know he was going to be that BIG... Somewhere between awe and terror stricken, the Kirlia simply stood there for a few moments.

Eventually, she regained her composure. Almost immediately, she blurted out, "Nice to meet you too, sir!" He continued on about parties, and she began to scratch her neck, "O-Oh. Well um... the party... feast, thing is mostly for the dancing troupe. Kind of a welcome to Folio thing, I guess? Either way, we really would like to have Selena come, I think it would be a lot of fun. Of course, after we're done eating, we'll bring her back right away! I know it's pretty late already..."

Being literally dragged along was no fun. Ripping her claw from the deranged teen's grasp, she picked herself up, following after him. "You're not fine, and if this had anything to do with how much trouble we're in, you would've been a tad bit more concerned earlier."

Looking over her shoulder to check Mammothmon's position, she noticed Candlemon dragging away the human from before. "That's...?"

They were close to the other humans. Putting a paw on the ice beneath her in order to slow her movement, she skidded to a stop. Picking herself back up, she turned to Delsin, "Monodramon apparently lives in a cavern nearby. We could perhaps follow them. This ice will only hold so long."

When Delsin pointed out he was the one who in fact saved her, she let out an annoyed grumble. "...Fair enough." As the teen continued, she raised a brow at his words, Shitty spawn point, what is he talking about? Humans are... really quite strange.

Looking back over her shoulder, she paused for a moment, awaiting Mammothmon's appearance, but he never appeared. That's odd... Being pulled from her thoughts, she looked over as the frantic teenager grasped at her arm and dragged her once more. Blood dotted the snow beneath him, causing Renamon to look up at him with a worried expression, "You're injured...?" His reaction wasn't unreasonable, given they had just previously been chased by a very powerful Digimon, however he went from somewhat calm, to frantic in a matter of seconds. "What's gotten into you?"

At Devon's prompting, the Starly let out a chirp, his eyes upon his new Trainer. <Hell yeah I do! Didn't think I had it in me, to be honest. Glad I was wrong, though.>

When Lily held up her Pokédex, Ace let out a snort. <Noisy and annoying? Yeah, that's... wrong. Just, flat out wrong. I thought humans were better at this.>

Letting out a sigh, Nasir shrugged.

Brooks spoke up, and Ace turned to his other party members, <So that's the guy we're fighting? And that's his Pokémon? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's a Noivern, and they're... really, really strong. And fast. Plus you can't hide from them since they have that supersonic crap. Good luck, I'm going to assume I'm sitting this once out.>

At the Starly's briefing, Nasir furrowed his brows, We've never encountered a Noivern before. I hope Devon is aware of what he's up against. Letting out a sigh, he looked towards his Trainer, "Ace claims that Noivern are swift, and have an ability that makes it impossible to hide from them. As such, a move like Double Team would have no effect. Please do consider this carefully."

"Oh, yeah they met yesterday..." Letting out a sigh, Libra nodded. As Bryce continued, Olivier put a hand to his chin, "Actually, that sounds about what I had planned, too. Vertigo City first, and then.... I don't know much about Riviera town, but if there's a Gym there, I should at the very least try..." Averting his gaze, he looked to Libra, This is assuming I can find more Pokémon to accompany me. I doubt I could take on a Gym with just Libra...

Letting out a squeal, Celes ran towards Nasir once she had caught sight of him, wrapping her arms around his waste. "I thought I was gonna have to walk! Yaaay I'm so glad you're back!" She was about to ask if they were ready to leave, but recalled that there was going to be a battle with Brooks. "Oh! Oh!" Addressing Devon, she continued, "So you're gonna fight that tough guy, right? Lemme go get Ranulf, he'd really like to watch."

With that said, she raced out of the door, not even waiting for a response.

Once she made it to the aforementioned door, Lilisette let out a sigh. "I feel bad about making Ember come. I think she'll have a lot of fun, but... she really doesn't seem to feel that way. I wonder if Selena's the same, too. Ember... isn't exactly the type of person I thought would be afraid of parties. She's the type that seems like she'd just absolutely adore them, you know? Selena though... I'd understand if she said no. Ugh, I just... I just..."

Hanging her head, she let out a sigh before raising her hand to the door, "I'll knock. I can take the blame, too. It wouldn't be the first time I've been yelled at."

Taking in a deep breath, Lilisette knocked on the door as loudly as she could. I wonder if we made the right choice...

"Dia? I'll be thure I thank him perthonally later." With a smile, one of his feelers went under his chin in a thoughtful position. "Whenever we decide upon a new dance, it'th alwayth a lot of planning. Either mythelf or one of the thenior dancerth mutht choreograph the thene—which is theveral dayth worth of work in ithelf. Once thath finithed, I prethent the dance to the group. Once everyone hath an idea of what they're thuppothed to do, I then work with each dancer individually to perfect the routine."

With a smile he continued, "For my thenior memberth, thyncing their motionth with the otherth cometh as thecond nature. However, for our newer memberth, it taketh quite a bit of time, and practice."

The Sableye at the other end of the table had been staring at the pair now for longer than what would typically be considered a glance. "I know you claim you're not popular, but..." Using a feeler to point out Letho, he continued, "What do you make of that? He'th been tharing at us for a bit, now."

"No, I'm only pessimistic when there's something impossibly strong actively trying to kill me." Letting out a soft growl she continued along, looking around and doing her best to assess the situation. As far as she could tell, there wasn't much to work with.

Once they duo came upon a tree, she furrowed her brows as he played with one of the branches, Is he seriously trying to make a weapon out of that thing? With a small frown, she looked back towards the teen who had came up with two plans. "I don't recognize that group... I would say the ice would probably be our best option..."

Upon hearing the words "Hey you, over there!" Renamon turned to face the source of the noise. Lowering her voice, she spoke to her companion, "...Great, yet another human. We should worry about them later. I really can't babysit more than one at a time, anyway. If they want to run across the lake with us, great. Otherwise, they may be a welcome distraction."

...I guess this is it. Letting out a sigh, she was going to resign herself when she felt a tug. It was Delsin. "W-What are you doing!? We can't outrun him, and I can't fight him! Do I look like I can—" The teenager cut her off, explaining how they could potentially lose him. "I mean, maybe!? He can mow down any of the larger trees just by existing, it's really not going to be all that easy. Our only hope would be if we were near a volcano... which we're not by the way."

Pulling her arm from Delsin's grip, Renamon let out a huff. "Even if we 'lose' him, he can see and hear into the distance. Pretty sure he's clairvoyant, so we're just screwed no matter what. Seriously, Volcano is really our only option. Or uh... well he's an Ultimate so if we found someone really strong willing to help us..." At this point she was babbling. They were both so, utterly screwed.
