Understandable, which is why I'm aiming to make it examples of types and might include hexes, spells and such as aspects. It would still allow a free ability to make magic but players can also use these to draw connections and even figure out how to make their own magic work with others, bridging a gap between. It might allow excuses for seeking out other players if they can use a certain type of magic the PC can't. *thinking out loud*

Just keep in mind that things like magic et al are very big topics, with multiple facets to them, so rules and limitations with one set may not be the same with another. So basically what I'm saying is that the magic and other lore that is establish is not the only possible lore.
