Klaus

A small raid of orcs and trolls, some sight of the borderlands. Klaus has a bit of history with those beings back when she worked as a mercenary. She had slain enough of them to know that they aren't much of a problem to deal with. But, warbands appearing here is already unusual enough, and Klaus had a hunch that its something more than just an orc raid. For that, she isn't letting her guard down. Just like that old Knight said, its better to work together, someone with strong defensive stances would help a lot, I know!

"Fleuri, cover my back," Klaus turned to have a brief glance at Fleuri, as she sent herself for the cavalry charge. The training in the morning proved to be the key towards mastering her own style. Her sword looks alive, the edge of her sword slicing the orcs apart as it rips through their armour with little wasted movements. What is left of their armour was a huge hole behind their fatal wound, as if something have bitten through the armour. My cuts aren't clean enough, I'll need to train more... Klaus clenched her teeth in her own dissatisfaction .

How many times do I have to say I'm not drunk? Kurokono grunted. Today was a really bad day for him, not only he got himself killed by miscasting his own magic, he got beaten the living daylights by a crazy woman. And people say that girls from more primitive eras are humble and reserved.

"Urgh... Thanks, I'm fine now..." The swordsman rubbed his bruises as he got up. If it weren't for Ease who approached him more reasonably, he would've inched closer to his own sword by now.

He showed a steady and composed look that no drunk man would ever able to do. After all, it was just one mug of ale, the effects of it never last long. Regaining his posture, his ears twitched upon overhearing the interesting conversation between Duncan and Avery. Avery, quite a name for a girl~ He found the conversation quite heartwarming, them treating the girl Aya like a young sister, something he'd never seen for a long long time. But from what is seems, that girl Aya was also from the same hometown.

"Back in Japan, I was an honest and responsible policeman," Kurokono approached the baldy and the red haired girl, showing his police badge that is written in Japanese, "it would be safer to have someone with the same homeland to tag along, and I have a hunch I will gain more leads to the slave trade if I were to know someone like you."

"Finally... You've really got me this time..."

Janet reached for her spears in her backpack, only to find that the one that she took is the last one. The rest, have either been depleted or swept away by that rough waters. Guess I'll have to use it differently... Annoying, but gotta return that guy a favour... Janet plucked the woven hair off from the spear, making it less prone to explosions.

She held her spear with a firm grasp, igniting an explosion at the back of her shoulders. At the instant her spear pierced the masked guy chest, she ignited the front of her elbows to quickly retract her spear. Then repeat for the other masked goons around her, a person like Janet wouldn't miss a close ranged target.

"Machine Spear," Janet wiped out the squad of masked guys just like that, brushing off the dust off her shoulders. "Thanks for saving my life, but... Spear guy, you listening?! I'm out of ammo, so lend me some of your spears!"

Her voice echoed across hull's corridor, hoping that her message would get to Kyy.

"Watch out, behind you---" Janet gasped for air the moment her nose touched the surface of the water. She felt the sea sapping her strength. Seems to her that one of her allies had taken that extra effort to rescue her, so much on nearly dying on this first voyage... And the baldy has taken down most of the riflemen, but there is a few left for them not to let down their guard. She can't do anything for now, unless she got out of the waters.

"What the...?" Janet didn't expect them to ignite an explosion right on the ship's hull. Those pirates are the kind to send themselves to their deaths willingly. Even for her, she isn't stupid enough to create a hole in the ship. And before she could even escape, the waters gushed down her legs. "I can't swim! Someone---" She splashed the water desperately as she started to sink.
