<Snipped quote by Antarctica>
Out of curiosity, can someone enter into a contract for someone else's benefit? I. e., one person pays the price, the other gains the ability to learn magic.
The Compromise states that something must be sacrificed and exchanged for the ability to learn magic. It doesn't say who has to pay the price, or who gets to learn the complexities of the arcane. However, it is wise to rememberโwhatever is given can't be taken back, not even through magic itself.
