Additionally, I'm working on an achievement list for things you, as the players, might accomplish in the campaign.

A select few that are optional achievements:

Living Spark: Defeat the progeny of power.
Attunement: After becoming haunted, find a way to cleanse yourself.
The Abyss Stares Back: Finish all bounty contracts.
Emergent Evolution: Don't turn it off.
The OOC is live, but without flashy formatting because I just couldn't be arsed to do it right now.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. There's a lot of information to process, so I hope everything included in the Campaign Resources post is easy to understand.

And now, I wait.
Campaign Resources

  • Old Gus' Cypher System Reference Documentβ€”A website that contains all references necessary to understand Cypher System to its fullest.
  • Obsidianβ€”A note-taking application that allows for easy and accessible collation of notes.
  • Player Compendiumβ€”A folder containing all relevant information needed to understand the lore of the campaign as introduced, as well as necessary information for character creation. To be opened with Obsidian (the entire folder).
Welcome to the campaign.

Below, you will find the character sheet template. How you design the sheet is up to you, but all information listed in the template should be included within your sheet.

Above, you will find the 0th Post, containing resources necessary to understand Cypher System in its fullest capacity, but in the Player Compendium, I've given you all the information needed to learn how to play now. You will need Obsidian, also included above, in order to access the Player Compendium in its intended format. This compendium also contains tips and tricks on how to use Obsidian, in case you've never used it before. It's imperative that you fully read and comprehend everything in the Player Compendium, as Character Creation will be made easier as a result.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask; I will answer to the best of my ability.

Character Sheet Template

Name: The name of your character.
Age: The age your character was when the world basically ended.
Personality: How your character acts in society.
Background/History: Who your character was before the world ended.

Subtype: Your character's subtype, located in the Player Compendium. There are six subtypes in total: Fighter, Gunslinger, Rogue, Expert, Diplomat, and Mastermind. You may only choose one.

Descriptor: Your character's Descriptor. You can find a list of Descriptors when using the CSRD, located in the Campaign Resources above. Please note the section "3B. Descriptors" in the Player Compendium.

Focus: Your character's Focus. You can find a list of Foci when using the CSRD, located in the Campaign Resources above. Please note the section "3C. Foci" in the Player Compendium, as many Foci have been removed from the campaign.

The last two pages in the Player Compendium contain information necessary for your character. Include these in your character sheet.

Once your character sheets have been submitted, if they're approved, you may post them in the Characters tab.

In-Character Post Formatting

For the most part, unless you intend to perform certain actions, you'll post as normal, including the following elements in your formatting:
  • Name
  • Stat Pools (Might, Speed, Intellect), including how many points you currently have (formatted as [Current]/[Max])
  • Edge(s)
  • Effort Level

However, if you intend to perform any actions that may require a dice roll, use Skills or Abilities that you have, etc., include all of what you intend to do in an OOC hider. If you have any Assets, Skills, or Effort that you want to use in order to ease the difficulty of a Task, mention them within this hider. Acceptance of these elements is left up to GM discretion. If rolling to accomplish a Task, include your roll result within the hider and hyperlink back to the dice roll you made.

Please keep in mind that most Tasks will have hidden difficulties unless stated otherwise.
I'm glad to see even a modicum of interest in this story. This has been a passion project of mine, cultivated over the last ten or so years. With that said, I'm ready to move forward with even just the two of you participating.

When I can get some time off, I'll be dedicating that time to developing the OOC.

In the year 2032, humankind went extinct. Through a series of events culminating in a rampant widespread, drug-resistant disease known as KN-308, humanity was very quickly wiped out and erased from the face of the earth. In the face of doom, however, a project was conceived to save as many people as possible. Now, over 100 years later, the remnants of the human race have awakened into a new world, where every day is a fight for survival to rebuild and reclaim what was lost.

Seeds of Eden is a story set in the not-too-distant future, where humankind has gone technically extinct. What remains of humanity now mostly exists in android bodies called FRAMEs, which are virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. More capable than man, the remnants of post-humankind wander a region known as the Drift, in which lurks myriad dangers, lost histories, and stories waiting to be told. Inspired by the music of artists like Reid Willis, Recue, LudoWic, Snakes of Russia, Lorn, Anthony Baldino, and moreβ€”as well as such games as NieR: Automata and The Last of Usβ€”this RP aims to explore themes of what it means to be human with a story focused on perseverance, determination, and hope.

Uncover the timeline to extinction. Right the wrongs of the past. Protect the future.

This story will utilize the Cypher System TTRPG. If this gains enough interest, I will go more in-depth on background lore in the world and set up an OOC for the campaign.
The obvious matchup in Tekken 8, now that Yujiro Hanma has been teased as a new fighter, is him versus Fahkumram. Aside, finally, a cameo that makes a little more sense in the franchise.
