@KatherinWinter Charles looks over towards the man who called himself Gem. raising an eyebrow at such a name "..Specially designed to protect us?" he asks "what does that mean?" he looks to above Gem's head to see if the man was speaking the truth about his name, it's possible to hide from the name tag but not easy.
He would smile some more "thanks" he says to Collin before taking the seat offered to him by theo "thank you" he says again glancing to above Theo's head and thinks 'Theodore hu.. I better be polite'. He looks at theo "My name is Charles, what's yours?" he asks theo "and I'm guessing we're all here for pretty much same reason right?" he chuckles.
Charles would arrive a little late compared to those before him. he took deep breath looking at the place that he will be spending his time at for some time. Having to get some help he was escorted to the meeting room sense he didn't make it in time for the PA announcement. When entering the room he would look at the others who have also been called here, him guessing they had a gem like him. "hello everyone" he says with a big goofy smile looking at all the others who have been gathered.

States 1-10 range are to most regular people who haven't done any intense training in their lives. approximately 50 is the level of untrained gifted people and most trained professionals. 75 for Gifted people who have trained. 100+ is getting to abnormal ranges. (Example: someone with 10 stat of intelligence would be a regular person in school, one with 50 would be as smart as a school teacher, or a student who is seen as extremely smart. 75 would be as smart if not smarter than people like Einstein and others.)

Bio: Being kind and goofy Charles had always spend most of his time playing games than doing other things, having fun. Though can become serious in a big situation.
History: Being a regular student in school, and average gamer. He though everything was going to be a simply normal life.. until the day his gem appeared, having inherited his addiction to games, shortly after he got the gem he started to see people's names above their heads with levels next to them. even special titles some times. His world turned upside down when it appeared he was in a game... when his mother asked him to pick up some food on way home one day he received a quest alert asking for him to accept or decline. he was confused by this entire prospect but decided to not let it bother him. When he was approached and told he had to go to a special facility he decided not to bother question it. knowing it may be better for his own family if he wasn't around with this unknown ability.
@KatherinWinter considering you can basically have full rein to control how fast he can develop aka how much experience he can gain from something, and what he can get from enemies dropping things. which can be various stuff including simply ingredients for other utility skills later on (like crafting and alchemy), money, weapons, equipment, etc.... so he doesn't go out of control. believe it is better to leave the development to the GM in this type of character, so the character can't become super powerful. only thing i have control is the character itself, his specific stat points, and maybe some of it's skills.
@KatherinWinter "well if most of them end up forming little buddy groups... how about we form one as well?" he asks her turning towards Liz with a somewhat goofy smile.
@KatherinWinter Here he is lol this character going to be strange to use sense first try after learning the power. Also , added 'Auction House' in regards to classic MMO where you can buy stuff for real money, normally fairly expensive things so it'll be something he can only use when he has enough money in his inventory. note: I made him level 2 because of simple actions he did before he came to the place, and to show off how his level thing works. not to mention the 'level' doesn't really determine power (experience, and other skills aren't seen in the level), it's more of a numeral value for him to try and gauge himself and others.

@KatherinWinter he nods "probably.. but we are all a team should we should all get along.. well if we know any better" he chuckles some "though there will be 'groups' so to speak..." he sighs some shaking his head and looks at his head "hardest part will learn how to use these abilities we all have to it's fullest"
Charles watched as the old man appeared then raised an eyebrow when he already mentioned someone by name or turning someone into a toad, he would chuckle some in surprise thinking this may turn out to be interesting after all.
-----
Oni looks to the old man and simply rolls her eyes looking away from the old man bit annoyed a man is trying to tell her to do something. she pulls out a wand from her book and simply does a gesture before putting it back.. lifting the curse for the moment turning the boy from before back into his regular self
William looked as Ms Smith arrived and sat down as told sense didn't want to cause any trouble, he listened to her as she spoke, especially about the benefactor of this place. He would look at his hand closing it and remembering his own past.
