Rise of the Shield Hero - From Another World

OK, so here is what I came up with. Let me know if this makes sense. I kinda based it off Naofumi's Air Strike shield.

Burst Shield

Appearance of Weapon: :

Abilities of Weapon:

Air Burst- Able to create a strong burst of air that impacts the target in a 12 inch ball. Diameter of ball increases with the user level.

Burst Shield- forms a air generated shield (similar to the one in the manga) and helps minimize damage from attacks. The number of layers or shields are depended on user level.

Sorry for the delayed response. Came down with a really bad case of food poisoning a couple of a few days ago and before that, work was taking up most of my time. Things seem to be calming down though, so I can return my focus back here.

To answer your questions, dragons will certainly be smart and have their own personalities, but only in the same way horses or dogs do. That is to say, they're animals. They'd make great listeners, but they communicate with noises and body language, so don't expect a conversation out of them. They are however, like elves, born with mana by default so yes, their breath attacks will be magic in nature.

My Hider

Name: Jonathiel Alessandrus

Race: Elf
Class: Ranger/dual wielder
Family: Father-Lornias. Mother-Elora. Brothers-Mehdi, Avery, Thobin. Sister-Elise
Background: The fifth son of the Noble Family Alessan. He is a Lieutenant of a minor 15 man squad of dragoniers called the Shooting Stars due to their ability to attack their enemies from above as they all weave wind magic. He is reluctant but follows the orders of his father who was part of the King's court before the fall of Avalan.

He is very skilled in fighting but would rather be at home enjoying the ease of life that comes with being a noble. He loves parties and loves woman. He will flirt with any woman almost unable to help himself. He is very irreverent and sarcastic but loyal and a true friend.

As one of the noble houses charged with defending the World Tree, military prowess was a necessity. He hates getting blood on him so he will often kill from afar with bow or magic. IF the enemy gets close enough he is able to dispatch them with his double short swords.

Few know that he likes to compose poems.

When the Kovosians attacked, he was part of the home guard left behind to defend the priestess of Gia, of which his sister was a part of. He went against orders and started evacuating many of the maidens early instead of sending reinforcements to the front. Many saw this as an act of cowardice, including his second brother Avery who later found him as refugees. However if not for his actions, many of the priestesses would have died or been enslaved so he does not regret it. His first and third brothers are still missing, his mother was also saved but his father perished riding with Queen Sifa against the invaders. For the time being, Avery is the head of House Alessan, the fourth greatest house in the old Avalan.

Abilities: Skilled with bow and arrow. Has invented different kinds of arrows for different purposes. When in close combat, he uses two curved short swords but also uses a short spear with a broad head similar to an Ikwla.

Magic affinity to wind. Able to cast bursts of wind that allow him to change direction in mid air when gliding. Able to use a wind cushion to slow his fall. Able to create a sort of void big enough for his arrows so that there is little to no wind resistance. Able to create a rotating expanding sphere of air.

Weapons: Short composite bow. Custom Arrows with various tips and shafts. Two short swords. A short broad headed spear. Special made leather armor that has wing like protrusions that allows him to glide.

Race: Feathered dragon
Class: Frost wielder-able to cast a frost breath.
Background: Young for her kind, this female dragon has a temperament similar to a cat. She is vain and always preening herself. She will let nobody touch her except Jonathiel. Is unnaturally jealous of females.

The young shield hero could not help but be impressed at the durability and over all fighting prowess of the bandit chief. The hit he delivered would have knocked a grown man on his ass. This of course, only spelt more hardship for him and Cole. Even more impressive was Rayla’s grip. It was not hard to imagine that she had developed those muscles in the brutal arena. Fer almost closed his eyes knowing that there was very little positive outcome for being so close to somebody so thought. Add magic to that formula and pain was sure to follow.

“repulse."

The young hero felt a sudden rush of energy flow past him. It made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and he could feel the pressure, almost like lighting before it strikes, on his chest. Yet despite all his worse case scenarios that quickly flooded his brain, nothing happened. After a second or two of not being dead, Fer was just as surprised as the bandit chief.

He felt warm in his left hand and noticed, just as she did the green gleam of his shield. However, unlike her, he felt something different. He felt that same energy somehow infuse into him via his shield. Instinctively, or perhaps via some automatic feature of his shield, he knows he absorbed the ability.

The Shield Hero however, was not give much time to deliberate as the angry woman attacks with another impressive attack. This time, actual electricity and its aftershock travelled via the ground to them. Not being as quick footed as Cole, Fer was only just able to put his shield in front of him. Instinctively, he shouted. “Repulsing Burst”. An electrically charged air cushion formed like a coating in front of the shield just as the wave impacted him.

The blast still sent him flying backward and to the side banging him against the stone walls. Despite his magically enhanced resiliency, the impact was enough to cause him to knock the air out of him. He gasped a few time trying to fight through the pain. Fer saw Cole charge Rayla and get wounded.. He struggled to his feet a long gasp signaling that his lungs once again had air. He shuffled forward, his legs become more stable as he got near to the pair fighting. “Nice tricks you got there bitch. Its gonna take a bit more than that to finish us off.”

He moved to the side of her. “You like tricks? How what do you think of this one I just learned.” His shield suddenly

. He placed his right hand behind the shield to brace it and then firmly called out. “Repulse!”

Ok, well regarding Merlin's RP. I disagree with you and dont think it was you or me. But I respect your position. I just would hate to keep you all to myself despite how selfishly I want to lol.

I posted so you can take us away to fly around the skies. Poor Arn, he has never flown a dragon before lol. I can introduce Toby again, I just have to figure out how.

I will try to remember about music stuff. I am not versed or used to posting with them so I cant promise much.
