Current Alternatively - and now, hear me out - one could avoid looking up photos of such eldritch horrors ... maybe?

Back for my bi-yearly visit. Now where did I leave that thingy-ma-jig? Anyone seen that mish-masher? I think it looks like motivation or something!

I posted...And since Thomas ain't a schizophrenic, I couldn't post :P
"Ten-four. Once we breach the atmosphere, call me up to the cockpit and I'll help you find the LZ. Easier to find somewhere safe to land with an extra eye." Thomas said back to Ace and turning back to Darius. Ace was a good pilot, an excellent pilot really, but Thomas knew the difficulty of sometimes actually finding a safe spot to land on, especially on such a hostile planet as this one they were landing on.

He had to chuckle again at Darius's remark, his statement was true; most people who went out into the space-business looked forward to the millionaire-life they thought awaited them, and here they were, on their way to an icy planet with no life, certainly no human supermodels. "You can always hope, can't you?"

"You should go there once before your time is up, things have improved since the Terra Black Years. The sky is much clearer and the air cleaner. I was there five years ago, went to where my ancestors came from, Ireland it's called. Fine country, green fields as far as the eye can see, polite people, and always a pub to get some drinks. And besides, Earth is where we all came from."

Thomas could have gone on what the Earth looked like last time he was there, when Rae finally entered the shuttle. "Apology accepted, Miss Driani." Thomas said to her, watching her sit down beside him and nodding to her, glad to have her with them. With the extreme climate down there, someone with Rae's abilities would be highly needed. "I've taken my share of bullets, lasers and arrows through the years, Zhara, I think I know how to deal with the situation...Nonetheless, good to have you on the ground-team, you're medical expertise will be valuable either if we get shot at or not. It looks like your home-planet, doesn't it? Well, except the lava pouring out of the planet's core." Thomas said to her, giving in to the need to scratch his eye-patch and the empty eye-socket, trying to do something to get away the pain still there.
...And here I thought that you were stupid! YOU LIED TO US!

Edit: So, what do we do with Fiddler? Just leave without the character or pretend that Skyler joins us rather quietly?
While Rudolf had left his last beer on the table and started walking with Hans and Felix to the car, Jakob hadn't really heard what was being said. He was far away in his thoughts, thinking about home and how things could have been, how much he missed his normal life, how he missed speaking Norwegian and just being Jakob and not Viking in the 505th. Rudolf noticed that Jakob hadn't moved a muscle, and paced back to him and patted Jakob on his shoulder. "Come on Jakob, we've got to go!"

They entered the main facility in Penemünde, and both Rudolf and Jakob recognized the genius behind their superior technology, Doctor Ludwig. Felix did the talking with the doctor, while Rudolf and Jakob took note of their improved suits and the adjustments Doctor Ludwig had done on them. It was natural for them to have winter camouflaged suits when they landed on Iceland, and Jakob couldn't help but smile slightly as he saw his white piece of armour. "Brings back memories from Finland, us Scandinavians in our white uniforms, invisible to the Russians as they advanced, not knowing what was awaiting them. But the Allies must have thought the same. "Jakob said to the others, walking over to his armour and inspecting it, and finally starting to take it on. Rudolf did the same thing, checking out the armour and looking out for any pieces of un-painted black steel. As he was about to take on his armour, he first looked at Felix entering the armour of Tyrant, and then over at Doctor Ludwig, a confused look on his face.

"Wait a second, Doctor, how are the Kriegsmarine supposed to deploy Felix onto Iceland? I mean...look at him, he's a ton of steel and death, it's not like they can simply anchor up at the Allied docks and unload him, they'll be shot to pieces."
So, anyone know where Fiddler is or when she'll return?
"As long as you'll call me O'Connol, you've got a deal." Thomas said back to Darius, trying to make the eye-patch as comfortable as possible while he still felt a little pain there. But he let it go, deciding that the more he fiddled with it, the more it would irritate him as if the pain wasn't enough. Darius said that he didn't need to be reminded that he wasn't the newly trained killer like others were, most likely referring to Nafi. Thomas smiled and chuckled lightly at him. "They might be newly trained, but they're just that, new. They're not the experienced handyman you are, Darius. I've read you're files, colonial soldier, bounty hunter, body guard, even a night-club bouncer and lastly a mercenary, you've got more experience under your belt than most of us at this ship. You're what the rookies look up too, hopefully..."

"Not on the surface if we're lucky, more likely that the ship will be attacked while we're planet-side. I know it's never easy, been on many missions nearly going to hell, but we'll get through. The worst thing we'll have to deal with is frostbite, snow-blindness and the lava. Let's hope we don't up as Scott....You heard of the first humans to the South Pole back on Earth? This Englishman, Scott, tried to reach the pole but his entire team failed because of wrong gear Anyway, we have the right gear, so we have one less thing to worry about."

Thomas turned his eye from Darious, up to Ace. "Ace! How long will the descent down to the surface take?"
Okay, if nothing happens during the course of the evening, I'll post :)
Should I post and keep Thomas talking with Darius, or wait for more to post? :)
I'm wondering if Gustav too would be in the theatre, would make a good meeting spot for all our characters.
Then I think I'll wait for you two to finish that, and then I'll get my post up.
