Slowly, Futility rises from the ashes. Very soon, I hope, we'll be able to wrap up this next round of scenes, but that's like 3-4 posts out at least. The hustle does not stop.

I am a writer and poet aiming to create surrealistic and abstract imagery in my work. I also greatly enjoy worldbuilding, roleplaying, and collaborative writing in general. I also work as a writing advisor, so I enjoy working with, critiquing, and supporting writing in most of its forms. If you would like to work with me with any piece of prose or poetry, let me know. If you have roleplay concepts, questions, or ideas I'd be happy to listen. For those that enjoy the projects I GM, contact me as necessary. PM at your will.

S'venia is all good. We've previously discussed any worries. You can move to the characters tab.

Not satisfied with it. Definitely needs to be proof-read but take this as a first draft. I will edit this further down the board. Also, two people competing for the same position.

Very well done. You're all good as well.

I do want to remind everyone, though, that our characters are not meant to be extremely well of or insanely powerful. You'll be working for a nobody and there's a reason for that.
@OppositionJ

Coupla questions.

1. Has Campbell overall allied himself with any corporations at the moment. Is he using any corporations as sponsors?

2. How many players are you expecting for this RP? Like numbers and so forth before you post in the IC?

3. A lot of CS's so far are worldbuilding in addition to your own world-building such as making our own corporations, expanding upon pre-existing lore that you built. I'm fairly certain that you imply this in your OP but we are allowed to world-build, right?

1. At the advent of the RP, Campbell will have just emerged from the Reclaim Zone. He's really just a sort of nobody. That's sort of the idea behind the RP, as everyone will start at this low-life level. He has no corporate sponsors nor any other affiliated organizations. When more character sheets come up, I'll start to explain what sort of scenarios the group will be undertaking at the beginning of the RP, as this is going to play a part there.

2. I hadn't had a specific number of players I was set on. I am looking at a max of around 9, but as not many sheets are coming in, I'm going to aim for around 5 (excluding myself) or something similar before we begin. Of course, this is all subjective depending on how many of the interested players are still making sheets.

3. I have nothing against an expansion of the world, but as the lore is already getting a bit cluttered and full of things that may not be used until far into the future, I encourage you to use worldbuilding in a way that would offer something to your character's story/goals rather than just writing for the sake of adding something to the world.

For anyone who is still working on a sheet, I will start accepting and workshopping the sheets that already exist tomorrow. I encourage anyone who hasn't finished to catch up, as I don't want to delay the advent of the story for much longer.
Alice had grown all too accustomed to clandestinely wielding her phone. It helped her place her gaze in these populated settings. Bernie spoke up just as Alice had already grazed through the online presence that seemed to suddenly surround Deus. By the time she had read Isaac's message, clicked onto SHS.com, and seen the slew of social media notifications, however, there was little she could do as Deus made his way out of the room.

"Deus," was all she managed to call towards her friend before he fled up the stairs with haste. The echoic slam of the door was met with a brief silence as no one seemed to know how to react. Alice quietly let out a sharp breath, setting her phone aside before the others got too focused on interrogating her. The urge to stand up and move after him was easily noticed as Alice shifted in her seat, but she ultimately conceded, knowing that she would never catch her friend. Of course, she also appeared completely at a loss for what to do. Instead, Alice's eyes momentarily scanned the crowd as if to find guidance in any one of the teens that dared to stand up with an idea. The general consensus seemed only to bring a collective sense of panic and distress.

Upon Augie speaking up, Alice merely tucked her phone at her side away from prying eyes. A slight reddening overtook her pallid complexion, but Alice remained otherwise passive. When Ara came in emotively, Alice gritted her teeth. She knew the whole confusion angle wasn't going to get them anywhere, but more importantly, she figured it wasn't going to get Deus anywhere. A nearly silent sigh escaped her lips before she rose to her feet. Biting down hard, Alice finally spoke up, sending a gaze to all of her friends. Someone had to.

"We... We have to do something— go find him or something..." As her confidence in trying to direct the crowd drew thin, Alice grew quiet but continued nonetheless. "I think it would help... Or at least he'd appreciate it."

This may seem like a little over-bearing but can I ask what your vision of Japan, the EU, just the overall situation in other countries?

While I hadn't completely developed any lore for the rest of the world yet, I've got plans to do so as we're likely not going to be in the US the whole time. I am planning for a more fragmented EU, but they'll still be economically powerful. China, of course, is still a major superpower. Russia is hyperindustrialized and Japan is about what you'd expect of cyberpunk Japan (see Neuromancer).

Those are just my first thoughts. Feel free to give input, as they are not final.
We're still looking for more applicants in the OOC if anyone is interested.

Looks good, but I'll be reading through all of the characters and providing acceptance/more detailed feedback and the like after a few more sheets come in.

For the moment, I've put a character up to help make sense of any of the sections of the sheet. I'll likely be playing her should another particular role not need filled.

<Snipped quote by The Bork Lazer>

It's certainly going to vary between positions, but you can expect all of them to be earning small sums over the weeks. Campbell is currently in a relatively insignificant office, but that may change as time goes on should the team work well enough.

I'm also thinking each of the campaign team members will receive a signing bonus when they came onto Campbell's campaign team. That should allow for each of the characters a bit of motive to sign on and work with him as well as a small sum of money for those who are Reclaim Zone natives. Thoughts?
@OppositionJ How much do Campaign Staff Members earn exactly?

@OppositionJ What megaregion would have the most educational resources/medical technologies?

I'd say it's mostly a toss-up there. Something like that would depend more on the wealth of the particular area, as each megaregion has its own wealthy and impoverished areas. Generally, DC, The New York Seaboard, Metrochicago, or any of the western coastal cities (more likely the Californian two) will have the most access just because they are more established regions.
