Current I'd say you'd soon turn to dust with that attitude, but you're already dust, so...

Michigan is just a glove-hat that Indiana and Ohio happen to share.

@Gisk I imagine people will be posting shorter, more brief posts in this roleplay. Collabs are okay, though personally I'm not too much of a fan of writing them myself. As for post guidelines, I'm not looking for anything in the context of a GRRM novel describing your character eating an apple just to fluff out to some arbitrary word/paragraph count or minimum. I do ask that posts aren't just rushed out, though, to give others a chance to respond so an entire page isn't solely just two characters conversing back and forth.

Regarding your collab question, I think I'll try implementing post deadlines to motivate people to reply. Given that this roleplay will more than likely have short posts, how does once or twice a week sound? That said, I do think this would be a more case-by-case issue if it does ever come up, with different solutions to it. Maybe it'll be asking the player for advice/temporary NPCing, maybe it'll be a GM event to break up some of the stuck interaction, or even just waiting a day or two for them to get the post out. In other words, how any other SoL RP runs.
@A Ticklish Ralt That said, you should make sure the format is .gif and not .gifv, which are more akin to .webm or .mp4 files. I typically encounter that file format when uploading anything animated to, say, Imgur. Since the guild doesn't play nice with that format, it won't display on the guild like it should. You can usually get away with just dropping the "v" from .gifv to get it working again, though.

At least they aren't Ohioans.

Must've been nice in a small town like West Branch and St Helen. I remember going up there and the IGA was like the largest anything resembling civilization.

Real talk: I can only recall seeing one IGA ever in my life, and that was only because Minonk, IL has one. Though, I have no idea if it is still there. It's been some years since I've been to Minonk.

I might have to make corrections to the title of this thread... permission?

The Land of Lincoln sees no issue with those of Michigan using their pun. At least you're not a Wisconsin Cheesehead, or worse, Indiana.
What do you call a gang of Michiganders? A Michigang.

It isn't often that the town of Pioneer Springs gets visitors.

Nestled within the northern part of the Michigan peninsula, the tiny, rural town has had an influx of visitors staying at the very lodge the community gets its name from. Some might have travelled in groups; others, alone. They might've thought it a good chance to get some shuteye after a long drive or maybe even engage in some tourism.

Unfortunately (or perhaps even fortunately) for them, mother nature had other plans in mind. As the night progressed, a freak blizzard blew across Michigan, blocking all roads in and out from the lodge. And from what the elderly owners have said, it'll probably be a few days before the nearby roads are cleared and are safe to drive on.

In other words: Might as well get cozy while it lasts.

Hey y'all! Name's Finne, and I'm here with a short, simple idea for a roleplay.

Snowed Inn takes place off the beaten path in a large lodge, one so rustic it looks like it had been teleported hundreds of years in the future. Of course, that's not actually the case, but Pioneer Springs is still quite a relic nonetheless. While the lodge has been updated with modern features, some of it isn't quite as new. It doesn't get much cellphone service, and unless you want to watch VHS tapes or DvDs on a blocky television, you're stuck with books, board games and good ol' socialization for entertainment.

Depending on how many people are interested in this roleplay, I may or may not keep spots limited potentially through the use of CS review. My main request, however, is that if you do show interest, please don't leave the roleplay mid-RP. Given that the characters are snowed in, it'll be impossible to fit in any new replacement characters/participants into the roleplay without a complete restart.

If you have any questions or concerns, do let me know! I hope the idea's interesting enough for you.
