"Hvaða fallegu blóm...." A girl with hair as white as snow stood among a magnificent garden, her eyes that looked similar to that of untarnished Ice staring at the various plants before her. There were basic ones like Calendula, Lavander, Echinacea and Oleander. Though among the various "human" plants were those that were more....magical in a way. Fern Flowers, Bat-thorns, Raskovnik and many others that had odd and unreal properties to them.

She reached out a hand and gently touched the petal of a simple rose, a small smile spreading across her lips. The girl, known only as Eira, spent a good portion of her time within the gardens of Nox Tenebrea. After her classes she needed to unwind and relax, like most of the students there, though instead of sitting around and watching TV or playing video games Eira helped take care of the beautiful vegetation within the school grounds.

With a little happy step she moved from plant to plant, a watering canister grasped in one hand, watering each plant. After a while the can was empty and each leafy, colorful plant had been fed it's daily dose of liquid. Looking at the time she realize that there was only about an hour left until she had to go to her next class - offensive magic.

Eira decided that it would do her some good to actually sit and relax before her class, she knew her teacher was hard on her and she often expanded a lot of energy in order to do what they asked. Leaving the garden the girl walked into the lounge and plopped herself down on one of the plush chairs, bringing her knees up under her and staring at whatever was on the television. As she was sitting there some high-and-mighty royal bumped into her chair, he had to be blind as a bat to run into a chair that didn't even move.

Not really caring about him she continued to watch the silly show until she heard someone talk. "Hey, aren't you going to apologize?" A little confused Eira turned to see the boy, he looked irritated. "Excuse me?" Her voice was light but had a thick accent to it, she tried her best to be understood clearly. "I said aren't you going to apologize? You shouldn't leave your chair in such a stupid spot." Alright this boy had to be an idiot for sure.

"You ran into the chair, that's not my fault. Maybe you should pay attention to where your going" She said with a small frown on her face. "Heimskur...." She muttered under her breath before looking back at the TV. Apparently that was the wrong move because the boy only got even angrier and continued to shout at her. Eira ignored it and so did some of the other's in the lounge as well, it didn't take long for the boy to notice that no one was paying any attention and in a huff stormed out of the lounge.

On his way out he almost barreled into in a small reptilian boy and a girl that had some pretty magnificent wings, not caring if he bumped into them or not. Eira watched, suddenly feeling bad. Maybe she should have moved the chair or something...but it really wasn't her fault right? Now she was all sorts of confused though she quickly got distracted by the two who had entered the room. The boy was so short and...cute. He kind of reminded her of a squishy, slightly scary, stuffed animal. The girl was beautiful, the wings that were behind her were filled with such amazing colors. "Oh...I want to say Hi to them...." She thought, but what would she say? Even though she had been here four years already she seemed to have a hard time grasping at what social norms were.

Hvaða fallegu blóm = What pretty flowers
Heimskur = Stupid

The sun shone bright in the sky above Foxbridge, showering the large city of monsters in a warm blanket. While it was still quite early, many residents were already beginning to rouse from their slumber while those who were nocturnal were just going to bed. One resident in particular was sound asleep, which was quite unfortunate since he had a cafe to open in just 20 minutes.

The morning had once been a soothing lavender and amber. It shifted to a romantic blush that slowly, but surely, faded away and turned into gold. Aside from the ticking of the clock hanging over the door and the sweet birdsong coming from the window sill, everything was quiet. Peaceful. Wonderful.

Why hurry? Why worry? Just sleep. A thousand times, sleep.

This was a calm that no one ever wanted to lose, but had to, time and time again. It was a calm like when the gentle wind brushes against the river’s surface, causing a subtle ripple effect. A calm when a baby is sleeping in his mother’s arms, after having a warm bottle of milk. A calm like drinking your first cup of coffee, sitting on your balcony, and watching neighbors pass by.

Good morning, Foxbridge. It’s a beautiful day. Good mor—
Zap!

“Why are you still asleep?” Suddenly, that peace was broken and the sound of electricity and static had came and went in a millisecond. It was as if lightning stroke, a short distance away from the sleeping Pixie’s ears, and the beautiful colors of the morning light turned blinding, even with eyes closed. A strobe light of pink and purple, it came and went, and the shock wave caused the room to have a reverb effect. “Where’s your electricity bill? I need that.”

“Gah!”

The once sleeping Pixie was startled awake by the zap of sound and color, flailing around a moment before completely rolling off his bed. A small thump could be heard as his body met with the hard floor, a small groan escaping his lips. “The hell Q...can’t you enter in a not so loud and obnoxious way?” Jagger grumbled. “Seriously it’s not even - “ he looked to the clock on his nightstand and let out the girliest cry ever, leaping to his feet. “OH MY GOD!”

Totally forgetting about what the time travelling male wanted he scrambled over to his closet and began to just throw clothes about, not paying attention to wear he was throwing them. He turned towards the white-haired boy, holding up a graphic crop-top type shirt to his chest and a pair of faded and ripped jeans that had quite a few trinkets hanging off of them. “You think this would match? Or does it make me look too much like some wannabe hipster?”

“I don’t care what you wear. Where’s your mail?” While Q’s expression was apathetic, his gaze lacked patience. While his friend scrambled and panicked, Q went from hovering in the air to dropping to the wood floor. He decided to go to one of the possible places the bills could be. Jagger’s desk. Unfortunately for the cyborg, this Pixie was sporadic and did not have a pattern, which meant things were moved around all the time. “We are stocked. The store is cleaned. The chefs should be there soon to finish their prep work. No one’s called out... yet. And we still need to discuss a decorative theme for tonight.” He began rummaging through Jagger’s things.

“Mail?” Jag echoed, stopping what he was doing for a moment as he tried to think what he did with it last. Let’s see...he had grabbed from the mailbox...took his shoes off...went to the- “It’s on the bathroom counter!” He exclaimed, almost proudly in fact that he could remember what he had done with the mail. He then went back to dressing himself.

Sighing to himself, Q walked past the fool and to the door. Gingerly opening the door, making the slightest creak noise, the white-haired man looked over his shoulder and back at his friend: “The top suits you.” After giving his short form of approval, the closest thing to a compliment the cyborg would ever give, he continued toward his destination.

“It does, doesn’t it?!” He exclaimed in an excited tone, putting on the chosen top and then choosing everything else to match with it. Aquamarine eyes stared into the mirror and he began to work on his messy head of pink hair. “So I was thinking we should do a beach theme, it is summer after all. Soft sand, cute drinks with umbrellas, palm trees! Sounds fun, right?” He asked without looking at his friend, using some gel to make sure his hair stayed in place.

“Even if I was against it, you’d do it anyways.” The time traveller called out from the bathroom. “You should consider an idea box for your employees. I read that getting your workers involved builds morale.” Q wasn’t against the beach idea, and he was sure their dysfunctional family would be down for whatever Jag could pull out of his sleeves, but even so, he didn’t want their personnel to hate working at the cafe. His job was to advise the hyperactive Pixie to consider his options for not only himself, but for all his workers. Here he was doing just that. “Ah, found it.” At last.

Once he was satisfied with how he looked Jagger left his bedroom and went to the kitchen opening the fridge. A frown quickly followed. He had forgotten to go grocery shopping again...oh well. With a shrug he slammed the door shut and moved to the living room, glancing at the mirror on the wall and grinning. “Damn I look good today” He said to really no one, winking at himself. “Anything else you need before I go downstairs?” He asks the cyborg, making various faces in the mirror. Hmmm ...maybe he should think about changing his hair color.

“No. But you do have breakfast on the coffee table, in the living room. I’ll see you when I get back.” And without a proper goodbye, Q was gone, zapping out of the current location just as fast as he came into it.

Jagger let out a gasp of excitement as the mention of food and raced to the coffee table, he was so distracted with the mirror he didn’t even notice. He practically scarfed down the delicious meal; Bacon that was cooked to a crispy goodness, Eggs that were only scrambled in the pan and not before, toast that was only lightly browned with apple butter smeared all over and a glass of orange juice with no pulp. Q always seemed to pay attention to detail...perhaps that’s why they got along so well?

While You Were Away

"Deep breaths, you can do this, you gotta be strong. What if Liz saw you like this? She's probably going through so much worse.....I gotta be a man right? I gotta be there for her....right? Man she'll probably think I'm such a loser! But this isn't about me....this is about Lily. God i'm stupid."

Elliot was having a whole conversation with himself in his head, going back and forth on how he needed to act tough instead of his normal nervous self. Though all that was really doing was making him even more nervous. The boy was so wrapped up in the thoughts in his head that he didn't realize someone had walked up to him until they spoke, a soft voice. Auburn eyes shifted upwards. "Lily?" The thought flashed through his head but vanished just as fast as his eyes focused on the girl who had spoken.

Redness came to Elliot's cheeks as he felt a wave of embarrassment, the boy quickly shaking his head, floppy brown hair shaking about. "Ah..um...I-I, I'm really...I...Fine...." He fumbled with his words for a moment before he took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down, "I um, I'm fine...thank you." Stupid! No one would really be fine in a situation like this. While the girl looked vaguely familiar he couldn't put a name to her face. "Thanks for...asking." She said with a small smile, not wanting to seem rude. Behind them he saw Kei Aiba sit down, while he knew of the other male he never took the time to speak to him. He kind of got an odd vibe from him, what it was he didn't know.

Before much more could be said Liz came up in a blur, grabbing the girl's shoulder. Elliot clearly heard her say Lily and his heart ached, as soon as she laid eyes on the other girl he could see the pain her green eyes. All eyes were on the front of the room and he could slowly see realization and a scatter of emotions cross Elizabeth's face, he wanted to say something to comfort her but the words were stuck in his throat. Though when she sat down he laid a hand on top of hers and offering her a gentle smile, he really did feel for her. While he might not say it aloud and didn't show it he had always had a bit of a crush on his childhood friend.

From the first time they met Liz and Lily were bright lights in his life, they were there in some of his hardest time. There were many times where Elliot felt like he didn't know enough for his friends, he felt like that now more so than ever. One of his friends was missing, very possibly dead and the other was grieving. I gotta be strong...for Liz at least. I gotta be there for her, as her friend. And while he knew she probably would never think of him in any way other than a friend it didn't bother him, as long as he could give her some form of comfort it was enough for him.

Elliot squeezed Liz's hand gently, "I'll be right here Liz".
