The Room

Iris: I-... Thank you Hanna...
*Iris spends the next few hours in the bathroom, shedding the rest of her skin and occasionally groaning in pain as her skull stretches and elongates*
*She showers for a long time, not wanting to leave and face Hanna and especially Horus*

The Room

*Iris chokes back a sob as she sheds skin, revealing more scales underneath*
Iris: I- No! No don't come in!
*She rubs at her arms, tearing the skin away with newly clawed hands*
*She seems utterly reviled by her new appearance*
Iris: There's... nothing... nothing you can do...
*She tries to keep it together but is rapidly failing*

The Room

*The door to the bathroom is closed but not locked*
Iris: I-I-I'm okay! Don't come in!
*She stares in horror at her features, hooking a finger under her lip and lifting it to reveal sharp incisors*
Iris: Oh Danu... please no... NO!
*She slams her fists on the counter in anger at her appearance*

*Mergoux smashes through several branches and lands heavily on the ground, several bones broken and helpless*
*The Tiger siblings loom over her, leering menacingly as her vision swims and begins to go black*
Togan: Now... you ours... Come sister, we take her...
*His sister giggles maniacally*
Sister: Yes! Yes! We take her!
*Mergoux's vision goes dark*

The Room

*In the middle of the night Iris wakes and sees Hanna sleeping. She smiles slightly*
*She gently puts Hanna in the bed, covers her with the blankets and moves to make a nest on the floor but before she does that she goes into the bathroom where she catches sight of herself in the mirror and screams in horror*
*Her skin is peeling away revealing tiny scales underneath it and her head has stretched and elongated grotesquely as it's mid-transformation*
*Her wings are still not fully grown but are large and leathery behind her back and she's sprouted a long tail that drags along the floor*

*Mergoux grits her teeth, screws up her courage and makes a leap to the nearest tree, as she grasps at the branches they snap under her and she begins to crash to the ground*

The Room

*Horus looks between the robot and the man frowning suspiciously and on edge*
Horus: Who are you? Why are you here?

*Iris begins to shift and change in her sleep*

*Mergoux looks at the tree next to her, considering trying to jump to it*

The Room

*Horus recoils and takes a few steps back*
Horus: Woah! Easy there. Who.. or what are you? What are you doing here?
*He then sees the Barbarians and the knight getting ready to fight and facepalms*
Horus: Danu... I've got to get a weapon...
*He looks at the Robot again, waiting for an answer and ready to fight if needed*

*The Mergoux is stuck in the top of the tree, cradling a badly slashed arm.*
*Both Tigers prowl below, patiently waiting for Mergoux to come down, knowing she'll have to in time*

The Room

*Mergoux yelps and draws her leg up as a leap from the tigerlady leaves claw-marks in her greaves*
*The Tigerlady falls through a few branches, yowling, before catching herself*
Tigerlady: Oh you b*tch! I'll kill you for this!
*Mergoux sneers but her confidence is pretty low as she draws a longsword to try and fend off her foe*

*Iris nods and curls up, yawning hugely*
Iris: If you get tired... don't worry about me... just rest easy... I'll be-zzzz...
*She dozes off peacefully as her wings continue to grow*

The Room

*Iris smiles weakly and hugs Hanna closely, holding back tears*
Iris: Oh Hanna... thank you for saying that... thank you very much...
*After a few moments of muffling hug she releases Hanna, smiles weakly and yawns*
Iris: Thank you Hanna... I think I'm going to get a little rest okay? You're welcome to stay if you want, but the change is... exhausting to say the least.

*Mergoux is unable to cock her crossbow in the middle of a tree without being able to properly stand and use her back to draw the heavily string. Instead she focuses on getting away from the female Weretiger climbing after her*
*She scrambles higher and higher until she can go no further for fear of the branches breaking*
*The Weretiger pursues relentlessly as her brother prowls below, ready to intercept any escape attempts*

The Room

*Horus is still just outside the room glaring at the 4 armed thing suspiciously and demanding to know who it is and what it's doing there.*

*Iris hugs back but doesn't smile*
Iris: Well... it's starting with wings... with luck it'll end there...

The Room

*Iris sits down on the edge of the bed and sighs*
Iris: The first thing you should know is that... well I'm okay, I'm not going to die or be hurt, I'm.. changing.. It's a natural thing for my race, as we grow older our bodies change. That's why my skin changes color all the time, or why Horus is so much bigger than me and has a bird head.
*She wiggles her wings again*
Iris: This is just... another change... One that I'll have to learn to live with once it stops...
