Avary and Shadow got of the train and stood by the car with the others. Avary let go of Shadow's hand and put his hands into his pockets, observing the driver and the others.
Shadow looked around shyly and pulled up the hood of her hoodie. She looked at the drivef, trying to find any compassion, or happiness, or any emotion at all, there was none.
The driver glared at Souls after her question. "There is food at the orphanage Ms. Souls. If the five of you would please step into the car, I will drive you to Eden."

Avary was walking through the downtown with his hood up, a shopping list in one hand, his younger sister's hand in his other. He looked up and saw the store and walked in with Shadow. They were there for the bare essentials; food, water, sleeping bags, light, and fire starter. They planned on leaving the town as soon as possible.
Shadow walked with her head down. When they walked into the store she saw a girl the same age as Avary, and a boy that was a little older than her. She gave a small wave to the boy then continued following Avary to find food and such.

Zander moved but not quick enough, the blade grazed his arm, causing a deep gash, but not as bad it would have been if it had hit him in the colar bone.
