Current I sometimes crave people, but then they visit me with their families and pets and kids and grandparents and suddenly I just want to be alone so I can sleep in peace. /sleepy

You probably find this peanut, but this is the FIRST post ever on RPG for me made on a computer. The keyboard is making me shed tears of happiness. I LOVE YOU ALL. /blows kisses liberally

It's been half a year since my odyssey to find the one true community for me. There is no escaping it, I realise: RoleplayerGuild owns the throne in my heart. Thank you all for making this place great

This is unrelated to the spambot invasion but I was wondering if it's possible to have another sub-forum for 1x1 Interest Checks and roleplays that are explicit in sexual content to separate those that are not? It's warding off a lot of potential 1x1 roleplays that are interested in doing something that has nothing to do with mature/sexual content. There are very few threads that are in the interest checks that are not 18+ on content and it's really annoying to have them shoved off because of all the people bumping on their 18+ thread with literally everyone trying to have their 18+ thread on the first page.

Please considering doing something about this because it'd be a huge improvement as I'm a preferred of 1x1's but not of libertine, sexual content and I'm absolutely sure a lot of others can agree with me.

I'm pretty unaffected by this since I personally don't care, but I second this. It sounds niftier to segregate roleplay searches that are general audience-friendly and those that are explicit in any or all aspects (drug usage, graphic violence, sexual scenarios, etc.)

Either a filter or a sub-board for adult roleplay craigslist sounds a'ight. I would hate to have some busybody rugby my phone while browsing the list and have them see some thread I didn't even notice with the title "So-and-So Looking for F/M/H (18+)".
@Pair of Hearts
There is a reason I have this rp in the free section, Only thing in regards I ask with posts is it be more than one sentence when possible. personally I would prefer fairly active posts and people but can't always get that.

Yep! I did notice, but I also am aware that sometimes "things escalate" once a GM accrues enough candidates for grander plans.

Anyway, I don't hold myself to "you're posting so much you made a posting order" active (never). But if you mean a minimum of one post within two days, I can do that.

And I still don't understand how people can accomplish amply with just one sentence (not including commas, parenthesis, and/or purposeful conjunctions).

So rest assured.

I'll be treating this as stress relief though, so is it fine if my character is not taking himself seriously? What I mean is:

This is comprised of summoning, you say? Attention hooked.

The premise is built upon virtual reality RPGs, you say? One foot in.

If the roleplay doesn't demand I write more than a paragraph*, I am sold.

As of 21st April,

I'm no longer looking for new roleplay buddies in keen, as I already have a handful both in preparation and action. Any of them that falls apart for any reasons at all will simply allow me more time to focus on remaining plans.

As it stands, I don't want to compromise myself into biting more than one can chew. But to all who are/were interested in roleplaying with me, thank you for your kind interest! I believe and hope in the future we may cross paths again.

Thank you.

...

Holy crap.

I'm gonna ask for a samurai beef burger the next time I go to my favorite McDonald's.

You should share a photo of the burger - wrapper undone - when you do. Relevant because it will be your next annoyance post. You'll find out why.

The mystery is waiting for you to crack it!
So... It looks safe for me to b!tch again. Hm.

I went to a Starbucks on campus and once again had to show the employees the several out-of-date items on display. I got funny looks again.

Why people gotta be like that?

Right?! I really like the Samurai Beef burger from McD but since it's not a classic nor do they slap ads about it throughout the realm of our existence anymore, the employees think I'm a troublemaker and the other customers think I'm an "insider".

(Although I still get giddy and surprised when a senior employee goes, "Yes, we have that!")
Best not to say no anyway. At jobs like that, best to go a little above the bar so you can negotiate later on down the road.

Can't say I have anything to complain about at work today. I, uh, had to buy a candy bar to stay awake because I went to a drive-in movie the night before? That's not a real problem though.

I can complain about dental insurance now I guess. They took my money but they still playin' like my application is pending. What's that? I paid you, I'm a customer now, pay for my cavities. (and no, this isn't a waiting period. This plan doesn't have waiting periods in my state. It's just ...pending.)

Tell them you wish your cavity can go into pending mode too.

For reals though, that really sucks.
Is the Dark Fantasy one with Rhett still open?

If it is:
~ Are other types of creatures (folklore style) available in this world?
~ How dark is dark? I don't mean like gore or anything like that, just like... how old school folktales can sometimes be a little morbid.

Yes! It's yet to be adopted.

Other creatures and cryptids? I didn't think too far on it because I don't mind a few surprises thrown at me. But my boundaries are drawn with the present world and mortal world. So no time travellers (ghosts stuck in an endless twilight is A-OK!), or religious demon lore, or deities.

The generic demons like succubi, revenants and *races of demons* are fine. Lucifer, Lilith and such are not. Mostly because it's too identical to Supernatural and I've done too many of those back then. (I'm really sorry!)

Dark like, "The Grimm brothers were hunters too, and Disney sprinkled enough altruistic fairy godmothers, cutesy dwarves and friendly blue genies to pull wool over children's eyes."

Imagine if Cinderella's "godmother" was a witch who wanted something in return should she fail to come home before midnight (like Ariel from Little Mermaid). And her sisters went to such extreme measures they did slice off a bit of their feet to wear the shoe. Some editions mention this.

Stuff like that.

But you're free to make up the world history of lores with me! ^^
I'm kinda interested in the Ghostbusting one, though my knowledge of the paranormal is limited to my country.

That's okay, too! I'm not the best with Geography, and there's only so much secondhand research can visualise things for me, so if you aren't against the idea, we could even make up fictional cities or towns based in real places. (Example: "Grimm's Street, Storyville, Illinois, USA")

As for the antagonists (the ghostly ones, maybe we'll throw in human ones too as we go), we could either tailor one after a real urban legend - like the Bunnyman that appears on a certain day in search of victims - or make an episode up based on pop culture scares (The Boy, Grudge, etc.)

I'm pretty slack and lenient with these stuff as long as my partner and I both have fun. c:
Since I'm new, I'm almost too nervous to rant in case I make enemies before even having my first friend here. Besides, I'm still too fresh to warrant whining about something that hasn't festered for ages yet.

But dang it if I'm not upset.

It baffles me that some folks here would message me, or reply to my messages, showing interest that seemed genuinely ... genuine. (Snort. At the redundancy I mean.)

We set up a loose plot, I did research on my tablet, and we both seemed ready, then the replies stopped. I'm okay for waiting, but it eats me up when I see them posting literally everywhere from statuses to threads, and I haven't even gotten another reply.

I mostly feel grumpy that I let my mood be influenced by such petty stimuli though. My sanguine self insists not to push in case they are busy preparing for other roleplays, or they happened to hop on for a bit enough to reply only here and there.

And then my insecurity rears its ugly devil-horned head and cackles about my inadequate appeal as a roleplayer, writer, and- and- my logical self feels pathetic for being sad, then everything just went down a la Titanic, with the iconic BGM no less.

By the end of the day, I'm still too wussy to prompt or nudge them, yet I save a slot for them in case I end up being overwhelmed later on. (Facepalm.)

I'll probably feel stupid for this post in a foreseeable future (give or take a few minutes after 'Post Reply') but voicing this sludge in my mind, I hope I find at least someone who resonates.
