Well now that I got the customary "post once" requirement out of the way....
HELLO
Welcome to my safe space. Well, about as safe as one space can be, I guess. If you are here looking for something, I am very sorry to disappoint you, but I made fresh cookies! Come sit a spell.
I guess I'll do some more in-depth stuff about myself. My name is Nick and I am 35 years old living in Illinois. I am a therapist and clinical responder (which is a fancy way of saying I go out on police calls to provide mental health assistance). Been doing therapy for a few years now and I absolutely love it!
I am a gay, cisgender man. I came out in January 2020 (smack dab in the middle of a pandemic. Timing was always my downfall). There is still much I am learning, but I am proud and happy to be who I really am and not have to hide it anymore!
I am an avid gamer, especially roleplaying games (cue surprised and shock noises). I also enjoy writing and reading, especially mysteries. I am not new to roleplay, I promise. I have been doing it for years now in different formats. I am experienced, even if it doesn't seem like it.
I use humor as a coping mechanism for sure, but I also like laughing and enjoying myself. Life can be pretty sad and upsetting for the most part and I don't want to add to it.
Whew! That got deep!
I will be poking my nose around in spaces and hoping to jump headfirst into this. Some interests I have in terms of roleplay settings include superheroes, DnD, science fiction/fantasy, mysteries, thrillers, horror stuffs, apocolypse, and espionage. And I am a fan of most things pop culture. If you have any suggestions or possible roleplays you think I would love, please let me know.

Millicent hated to admit it, but a part of her felt bad for Richard. Insofar as she could feel bad for any wealthy person. If Richard was telling the truth, he had no idea Renee had existed until recently. But that meant that whoever sent the text knew about Renee and Richard.
Millicent paused a second and replayed what Richard had said. Something about it was off. He knew what Renee was doing for work, but then he said he only found out about her last night. So either Richard was getting things messed up or he was lying. But...that was a pretty obvious lie.
Millicent hasn't had much experience with people struggling with memory. But it seems like Richard isn't aware. Millicent got the sense that when Richard referenced last night he didn't mean actual last night, instead he meant some time ago. Which means that Renee and Richard's connection was known for some time, at least.
She hated to push, but this information was starting to put things together. "Richard, I know it's painful, but if you truly cared about Renee and her mother, I need your help so we can find out what happened. Do you know who nominated Renee to come here? Or who made the final decision to ensure she makes it here? Was it Eleanor?"
Imogen was not afraid to see a dead body. She had seen many before. Lost relatives, friends, etc. But also ones that were delicately swept under the rug. She recalled one in particular. A famous doctor in London had been having an affair, one she was tasked with ensuring didn't get out for a few reasons. One, because the doctor was a lesbian in a very conservative family. Two, because the woman she had been seeing was a pro-choice advocate with staunch beliefs that went against what the good doctor spoke about. And three, because the doctor was also racit as fuck and was sleeping with a Black woman.
Who was lying dead in the doctor's bathroom. After the doctor caved her head in.
The reason? Well, one as old as time. Greed. The woman had plans to blackmail the doctor, airing their relationship, sure to to damage to the doctor's reputation, her finances, her properties, her ability to do basically anything anymore.
Imogen may not have liked the doctor. In fact, she detested the woman. But a job was a job.
So no, Imogen did not balk at the sight of some corpses. It did not mean she didn't feel for them, but she knew the job needed doing. So she followed Sam and Dr. Soraya. Imogen was starting to greatly respect Soraya as this went on. The woman was in her element. They were nearing the target as Sam went on.
She remained silent, letting the two of them carry on to the fourth floor. They entered a room, Imogen doing her best to trackthe target with Soraya's tech. As she asked for information, Imogen noted something. The target was nearby. In fact....
It was in the room.
Time sped up as a figure, darkened in shadows, swung a piece of furniture at Soraya, knocking her to the ground in an, albeing hilarious, display. Imogen looked up to catch who did it. She had no weapons, no means of defending herself. Imogen held her hands up. "Hey, there's no need for that. It's over. Now, we can walk out of here calmly and safely or we can do it the hard way. Either way, you aren't leaving here without some course of action. I can help ensure that is, at least, done with your well-being in mind. So, what's the plan?" She asked that question, but looked over at Sam.

Cassie was a little upset that Willow and Cal wouldn't be joining them, though she supposed she couldn't blame Willow given how much she had been going through lately. In truth, Cassie wasn't thrilled to be investigating a beheaded corpse, but if she wanted to remain here and show the others she could hold her own she needed to be ready for anything.
Plus, Jake would be coming and he was a good time. Connie was also someone she wanted to get to know a bit more. Cassie eyed Nicky who intended to speak more wtih Cal and she couldn't help but feel jealous. She shook it off.
Following the others, but mainly Rohan who seemed to know his way around, (and ignoring Jake's comment on knowing how to handle dead people's body parts), she tried to summon a light with her magic, but the only thing she did was create a pink aesthetic light in her hand. "No luck with light here. Sorry."
The fact the school even had a dungeon was not lost on her, but he school was full of mysteries. "What exactly would be down here? Apart from a beheaded corpse and spiderwebs?" She tried not to let the fear into her voice, but she was nervous. Still, she had something to back herself up with in case something happened.
Sabine wasn't thrilled to hear that Chase was in another altercation, this time with actual, physical violence involved. Though she knew Chase was not the enemy he was painted out to be, she sort of hoped that there would be a break in between chaos. "I don't think any of them can get their way out of a paper bag at this point without intervention. Seriously, Dr. Whitehall is gonna have a field day."
They were interrupted by the sounds of screams and Sabine did a quick scope of the scene, because for all she knew, they were being attacked by some supervillain because when wasn't this school in some sort of jeopardy? As she looked up with Leah to connect the screams with faces she saw Danni and April flying through the sky on a tube. Sabine watched it soar. Were they having fun?
Leah didn't need much convincing as she grabbed Sabine and pulled her to the tubing station. Sabine was unsure she wanted to face potential injury and/or death at this juncture, but perhaps it would be a welcome distraction to scream her head off rather than worry about everyone else. Sabine went to tell Leah such and she noticed Leah staring at someone. Leah confirmed her thought that the girl was a Giant also. Sabine didn't recognize her. Sabine also knew Leah didn't have a whole lot when it came to connections to her home.
"You should go talk to her." There was an implied choice of if Leah wanted Sabine to come or not. Sabine knew that someimes you needed to have something that was just your own.
Location: Margaret Carter - Winter Carnival Magic Items: None First Day Fit:Twisted School Girl
Well the girl was talking and not threatening her or indicating violence, so this was a win in Millicent's book. "I mean, I don't know, you were in some ice container with shining cracks all throughout. It's how I found you. I figured you would know since normally people aren't put in ice forts without their consent, I assume. Although I guess bad people would do that, but surely you would know or remember, right? Anyway, umm this is a school for superpowered teens. The Margaret Carter Institute. And you are....on Earth? In America? Not sure how far you want me to pull back from that."
She felt her phone buzz and read the text from Dorian and Danni. Did Dorian assume she didn't know who Luna Snow was? The two of them had met once before, briefly, but it was still fun and of course she went to her concerts and listened to her songs. She shot off a response.
-umm bruh, I kno who Luna Snow is and this chick isn't her
-girl seems lost/confused/possibly violent
-doesnt seem to kno where she is
-im worried
-shit shes trying to leave get her ASAP!!!<3
Millicent followed, but not too closely as to not overwhelm the girl. "Hey wait! Look, if you're confused or lost it might be best to stick around and try to figure out what happened. I have some friends coming over, maybe we can figure it out together. Also, are you hurt at all? I can't imagine being frozen like that was good for you health-wise."
Location: Château de La Lune: Dining Room Skills: Cold Reading
Millicent knew she hit the nail on the head and a part of her felt the thrill of connecting the dots. Richard appeared emotional, moreso than she had expected or witnessed from him. The patriarch falling off the throne. Millicent wondered how much of this Eleanor knew. She had to know, surely.
As Richard got up Millicent followed, casting a glance to Brendan seeing if he intended to follow them also. Before she could reach to stop him, Richard stumbled and got back into his seat. Millicent remained standing, staring at the man. His emotional walls were down now and she could see it fully.
Richard was grieving. But it wasn't just for Renee. Bringing up Renee's mother had brought up more feelings. Deep, painful feelings. The emotional wreckage of the memories were laid bare. Richard had loved Renee's mother. No amount of hiding it would do any good. "You loved her, didn't you?" Millicent left the 'who' anonymous, as it could be for Renee or her mother.
"Is that why she was brought here? She was looking for someone. Was that you?" Her words were not accusatory. If anything, Millicent felt bad. She didn't think Richard had any intention of all of this happening. This didn't seem like the grief of a man who killed his potential daughter. This was the grief of a man who missed an opportunity.

>>>PERSONALITY
It is hard to know what Persephone is thinking at any given moment. Not one to wear her heart on her sleeve, Persephone has been known to be called any matter of names directed to women who won't put up with men's bullshit. And that suits her just fine. Persephone is a woman who knows what she wants, knows how to get it, and knows that if things go belly up she has the skills and finesse to get herself out of tricky situations. She is slow to trust, but once that trust is attained, it is worth its weight in gold.
Though she will never admit it, Persephone has a soft spot for children. Perhaps it is due to her intense upbringing or a mix of knowing how the streets run and treat children, but Persephone can be merciful or kind if kids are involved. Otherwise, she isn't afraid to tear someone down with words or with magic.
>>>BACKGROUND
Born to a wealthy Spinrad Global corpo family, Persephone wanted for very little as a child. Well, unless you included the love of a parent, which she received very little of. The goal in mind for Persephone's future was to be wed at a young age to another Big Corpo family to ensure upward progress for both families. Being the only child, Persephone's wants were never taken into account. And when a child is imprisoned, rebellion is a breakout.
Persephone had to learn how to fend for herself early on. Weak by society's standards, she quickly knew that using your fists wasn't the only solution to a bully problem. Words held power and it was easy, once you knew how, to get people to do what you wanted. Persephone acted out, getting into trouble often, but always managed to talk her way. Eventually, she got good enough that she was either never caught or was able to get the blame shifted to someone else.
Feeling powerless never truly went away though, so Persephone looked into establishing her own. A bored heiress is a dangerous thing and a makeshift dark grimoire opened up the door to a higher power, if she didn't mind getting her hands dirty. Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, especially if the gift horse provided her with potential and a way to serve her own needs, she opted in to the dark deeds.
But life had a way of moving onward and, despite her rebellion, she was nearing the time when she would have to suck it up and get hitched to some douchebag. And Persephone couldn't have that. Her room was empty the following day with only a note left behind with a picture of her holding her middle finger.
The streets were rough, but Persephone didn't get to where she was if she didn't mind the grime. Whispers abound with opportunity and who really cared of a wallet got taken or a home was broken into while the tenants were away? She got good enough to run her own cons, earning enough to get herself a place to call home. Persephone established some ties, but she knew she would need income, consistent or otherwise.
And running? Well, at least she could look good doing it.

>>>QUALITIES
>[RACIAL] Low-Light Vision
Src: pg. ## [tag]
You can see clearly in any light level that is not total darkness
>Damage Control
Src: pg. ## [tag]
If your team fails a shadowrun, you still get paid half of the nuyen you would have been paid had you succeeded—just your own share, not counting any potential bonuses. This might represent your client’s willingness to pay a partial amount based on your good faith effort, or perhaps it represents taking advantage of an opportunity to make some money despite the failure (such as selling paydata, swiping some items to sell, blackmailing someone you found some dirt on, etc.). When you gain Heat, you may immediately spend 2,000 nuyen or one Karma to reduce the Heat gained by 1—to a minimum of zero. When you make a test to heal a character or repair an item, you restore an extra box of damage.
>Zero Sum Mentality
Src: pg. ## [tag]
Whenever you lose an Opposed test of any kind, you lose a point of Edge and your opponent gains one point of Edge. If there are multiple opponents involved, only one of them gains a point of Edge. Per the GM’s discretion, this only applies on tests that have some impact on your character. Just playing rock, paper, scissors with another member of your team so you can transfer a point of Edge to them is not going to work.
>Flirt
Src: pg. ## [tag]
Gain a point of Edge on social skill tests that involve romance, including (but not limited to) seduction. If this Edge isn’t spent on that test, it is lost.
>Fashion Influencer
Src: pg. ## [tag]
When buying fashion clothing (anything that’s part of a named line, like Armanté or Zoé), you receive a fifty-percent discount, as designers and merchants want you to show off their wares.
>Air of Superiority
Src: pg. ## [tag]
When you compare Social Ratings against a target, you always compare the positive values—even for tests when a lower Social Rating would gain an advantage, such as Intimidation tests.
>Pokerface
Src: pg. ## [tag]
You may add your ranks in Con to your dice pool on a Composure test—if you do, the cost of Edge actions or boosts to affect your Composure test are increased by one.
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE LOS P I 9 P, Special
Calling forth multiple elemental powers into a single spell is just the sort of “go big or go home” effect that we think of with all-powerful magi. This spell funnels air, earth, fire, and water into the casting. Additionally, the spell applies a Burning status equal to net hits, and the target gains Corrosive and Zapped status equal to the net hits as well. Hermetic, Shinto, Wu Traditions: Reduce the drain of the spell by 1.
>Mind Probe
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE Touch P S 5
The subject of this spell can dig into a target’s mind, seeing how many of their thoughts they can discern—while also attempting to sort what is true from the lies they tell themselves. Roll Sorcery + Magic vs. Willpower + Logic; net hits determine how much information the subject pulls out of the target’s head. The Mind Probe Results table shows the type of information this spell delivers.
>Chaos
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE LOS P S 4
Confusion hits the target with a swirl of images and emotions that leave them disoriented and, well, confused. Roll Sorcery + Magic vs. Willpower + Logic; the target gains the Confused (#) status, with the number equaling the net hits on the test. The target experiences a dice pool penalty equal to that number on all tests besides Damage Resistance tests. Chaos has the same effect, except it also affects cameras, microphones, and other forms of technology. The base spell affects only an individual, but the Increase Area effect can be applied to make it an area spell (starting with a 2m radius). When it is an area spell, the Shift Area effect can be used.
>Control Thoughts
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE LOS M L 4
Similar to Control Actions but more insidious, this puts the spellcaster inside the head of the target, making them think what the spellcaster wants them to. Roll Sorcery + Magic vs. Willpower + Logic; net hits give the maximum duration of the spell in minutes. Unlike Control Actions, the target’s awareness of Control Thoughts being used on them is uncertain. The closer the thoughts are to the target’s normal thoughts, the less likely they are to notice the intrusion. At the gamemaster’s discretion, they can have the target make a Logic + Intuition test after the spell wears off to recognize the spell’s effect on them with a threshold based on how different from normal their thoughts were made to be. While the spellcaster plays a powerful role in shaping the individual’s thoughts, certain instincts are very difficult to override. Thoughts like “I should jump off this building” or “I should attack my best friend/spouse/partner” are generally going to be resisted. With thoughts such as these, the gamemaster can have the target roll another Willpower + Logic test to resist the suggestion, and they may gain Edge before the test if the thought is too far outside their normal thought process or if it violates their basic instincts.
>Passenger
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE T M S 5
Literally see through the eyes of a CEO or listen in on their privileged conversations—at least, until a corp mage traces the spell back to you.
>Manascape
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE LOS(A) M S 4
Bored at a mystical society meeting? Try False Impression. Change your boss’s aura to that of an Insect, or make yours appear multiple initiate ranks higher than normal. Mess with that one guy who’s always assensing his teammates. Loads of laughs in an Awakened community. Trying to hide a magical duel from the authorities? Use Manascape to obscure all magical activity and hide the fact there are any magicians around.
>Fashion
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE T P P 4
When going from combat to social event, or maybe when you forgot to send your suit to the dry cleaner, this spell is the life-saver you need. Are you wearing the same outfit as the hostess? Fashion it! Is a tie required at a formal event? Fashion it! This spell can restore fabric to a just-like-new state, removing wrinkles and stains (even blood and sweat!) and mending small rips and tears. But that’s not all. A true artist with this spell can adjust the cut, color, pattern, and fit of any outfit to suit their needs. Free up that closet space and rent it out as a small room, because one outfit and your imagination is all you’ll ever need!
>Sideshow
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE LOS M S 3
These spells tap into a target’s subconscious causing a mental diversion. The target sees something that will draw their attention away from the caster. Note that the illusion will be different for each observer in a group, so when used on a group of security guards, one guard sees a short-skirted schoolgirl, another sees a man covered in whipped cream singing opera, and another may just see a dancing bear juggling bowling pins. Roll Sorcery + Magic vs. Willpower + Logic. The target gains the Misdirected (#) status (p. 44), with the number equaling the net hits on the test for as long as the spell is sustained. If pressed later to recall the encounter, those affected by the spell will recall the illusion, not the caster. SideShow is used on one particular target, while Three Ring Circus affects everyone in the area other than the caster.
>Manabolt
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE LOS M I 4 P
Essential spellcasting, shaping mana to crack skulls. Who can argue with this purity? Manabolt targets individuals, while Manaball is area effect.
>Disregard
Src: pg. ### [tag] RANGE TYPE DURATION DRAIN/FADE DAMAGE LOS(A) M S 5
Disregard is a fascinating yet subtle mind-affecting spell. It manipulates and redirects attention, similar to the way people get so hyper-focused on a trideo show that they aren’t aware of anything happening around them. It alters both perception and memory, making designated individuals unimportant to those affected by the spell. For example, a police officer affected by Disregard could show a picture of a suspect to the actual suspect and ask if they’d seen themselves all without recognizing them. The suspect is not invisible—they’re simply not important to the officer and not relevant to the task at hand. When the spell ends, the officer won’t remember any details of their time under its influence.
.>>>ADEPT POWERS
>Astral Perception
Src: pg. ### [tag]
You gain the ability to astrally perceive and follow the rules involved in so doing (see p. 159). You are dual-natured while using this power and can attack astral forms.
>Kinesics
Src: pg. ### [tag]
Your command of body language and nonverbal communication is, well, magical, and it helps you be incredibly difficult to read. When you are resisting Social tests and tests to read your emotions, judge your intentions, or gauge your truthfulness, you gain an Edge point. Only one such Edge point can be gained per encounter.
>Pheremone Control (Smitten)
Src: pg. ### [tag]
The adept is a master at social manipulation and is able to afflict others with social statuses (p. 44). Choose one when selecting this power. Roll Charisma + Magic vs. Charisma + Willpower, with net hits determining the level of the status if necessary. This power may be purchased multiple times; each time, a specific status effect can be selected. Only one status effect can be active per attack.
>Facial Sculpt (Level 4)
Src: pg. ### [tag]
This power allows an adept to change their appearance by shifting the muscles, bone structure, and cartilage in their face. Each level purchased gives the adept a +1 dice pool modifier for Stealth (Disguise) Tests. The effect can be sustained for (Magic) hours. Common changes include altering ear shape, changing nose shape, raising/lowering cheekbones, growing tusks, reshaping the forehead, lengthening/shortening hair, and so on. Adepts can even change their face to another metatype if they wish, but they can’t change their body shape or size. However, if combined with Cosmetic Control level 1 (p. 78, Street Wyrd), the adept could impersonate specific people of a similar metatype, or nearly any metatype with level 2.
>Cosmetic Control
Src: pg. ### [tag]
An adept with Cosmetic Control may alter their body in order to change their physical appearance by growing or shedding hair, changing traditional gender markers, altering their skin tone, adding or removing blemishes or scars, reshaping their facial features, changing their height and weight, or increasing or decreasing other cosmetic physical attributes (bust and hip size, growing or retracting nails, etc.). These changes are purely cosmetic but are not illusory, and clothing and other equipment are not affected, nor may damage be healed in this way, augmentations expelled or installed, etc. One level of Cosmetic Control allows for the adept to change within the confines of what is normally allowed for their metatype (ears remain pointed or round as appropriate, trolls maintain horns and orks tusks, height remains within the range of their metatype, and hair, eye, and skin colors are limited to the usual range of their metatype). The second level of Cosmetic Control allows an adept to reach beyond the usual limitations of their metaspecies, in both general appearance (ear shape, the addition or removal of horns or tusks, etc.) and in size, allowing a dwarf to reach human/ elven/orkish height (or reduce themselves to a smaller size, such as a pixie), allowing a troll to reduce to human/elven/orkish height, or allowing a human/elf/ork to grow or shrink to either extreme. These modifications still provide no alteration to attributes in any way, but they are enough to allow an adept to pass completely as a member of a different metatype. It also allows for a broader array of other cosmetic changes, such as hair, skin, and eye colors and patterns with a greater variety (striped blue hair, green skin, adding tattoos, slit eyes like a cat, or whatever other purely cosmetic modifications they like). Each level of Cosmetic Control, in addition to the visual modifications listed, lowers the cost of Edge Boosts by one for Con tests for Acting, Disguise, or Impersonation, as appropriate (and with the GM’s discretion may also add to Influence tests as well, particularly Intimidation as it relates to size, or metatype-related Etiquette tests). GMs and players should also remain aware of the Social Test Edge chart (SR6, p. 98) for further mechanical guidance as circumstances and appearances change.
>Sharp Tongue
Src: pg. ### [tag]
This power allows an adept to fire off a quick barb that strikes a target so deeply that the mere words leave a mark on their aura. The adept rolls Charisma + Magic vs. Intuition + Willpower, with net hits becoming unresisted Stun damage to the target. The target must be within line of sight and able to understand what the adept is saying. Instead of inflicting damage, the adept may choose to stun the target before attempting the roll. If the adept gains net hits equal to or greater than the target’s Willpower, the target gains the Dazed status (p. 52, SR6).
>Charismatic Endurance
Src: pg. ### [tag]
An adept possessing Charismatic Endurance is not only resistant to social manipulations, but they are also able to shake off any social status condition. The adept gains a temporary point of Edge whenever they are defending against an opposed Social test roll. In addition, they can make a Composure (2) test to shake off any unwanted social statuses (p. 44).
>Empathy (Metamagic)
Src: pg. ### [tag]
This power gives the character an affinity for all beings, be they sentient or non. The character gets +1 Edge for all Social tests, and their Social Rating is increased by their Magic.

Imogen quickly followed as Dr. Soraya utilized the briefcase she had only just handed off to Imogen. The technology was impressive and Imogen made a mental note to see if she could learn to access it for a later date. But for now, they needed to find the reporters. One was seemingly on the fourth floor, whereas the other was in the van.
Or, their phone was.
Imogen looked at the phone handed off to her. On it was a bunch of missed messages. One from the intern that Imogen was more concerned with. She had ideas lined up for how to handle them, but the situation was growing more concerning. She pocketed the phone. "I can handle the story, but we need to find them. The sooner, the better." Especially the intern. If she wasn't found and quickly taken care of, then all further attempts at concealing all of this would go out the window.
Whitney was a whistleblower. Or, at least, she was historically. It was concerning that the girl didn't have much of a social media presence under the guise of her current name. But if one did a little more digging, it showed that 'Whitney' had quite the history of spreading information. Imogen was almost impressed. She would hire her if she wasn't actively looking to silence her.
She followed Soraya and Samatha, but at a fair distance. She wasn't trained in combat, she had no weapon apart from a sharp tongue. But she needed to be ready to unleash data hell on the reporters should they be trouble.
And Whitney, or whatever her name was, was trouble with a capital T.

Cassie decided to ignore Barty from that point forward. If he wanted to be crass and boorish, that was his prerogative. Instead, her attention was kept on Cal and Willow. Whatever Willow had felt from eating the meat, it led to her ill feelings. Which meant she was justified in her not wanting to partake in it. She was content.
Cal offered to gather some tea to help Willow and invited her to join. Cassie had to admit it made her heart flutter for a moment until she remembered the annoyed glance and the blatant lack of involvement back in the library. She had spoken to Willow about her feelings, but not to Cal. He was being especially nice, but did that lend to him actively wanting to enjoy her company more or was there more underhanded things at play? Especially as she did not trust Nicky or Barty, and their closeness to Cal made her wary.
But she wanted to help Willow, and perhaps using her magic with this book will be useful. "I can take a look at the book if you think it will help." Her attention wavered a bit, though. Admittedly, when she wanted to join this school, she never expected to be near someone's beheaded corpse. And she had to admit her curiosity was piqued. "Could I come as well?" she asked Connie, and by extension, everyone else who was going to go investigate.
Sabine wanted nothing more than to turn her brain off for the rest of the day and enjoy the winter activities lined up with her girlfriend. To forget the world for the briefest of moments so she could snuggle into Leah's arms, sipping hot chocolate that isn't used to make an ice fort, and pretend she was normal.
But she knew she couldn't.
"No, we'd better get over there. Hopefully it's been resolved, and I don't need to do damage control, but just in case I do I would rather see and get all sides of the story so I know how to handle it." If Andy was involved, then perhaps it was one of the new people who got into the fight. Chase maybe? At first, he seemed like bad news, but Sabine knew better than most not to judge someone immediately. There was the delicate balance of being friends with Percy as well as being understanding to a new person who did harm in the past and is trying to make amends.
Sabine waited for Leah to get her skates off before she reached her hand out and held on as they began walking towards the others. "At least we can enjoy this moment."

As Millicent waited for a response, she noticed the fissures grow in light, and the girl she saw through the ice manifested herself out of it. She was as alive and real as Millie was, but that didn't mean much. She was locked in some ice, which meant she could be dangerous. Or she was a prisoner.
This was out of Millicent's depth.
The girl looked out of it, and Millie locked eyes with her. The girl reached for something, a weapon perhaps? Millicent held her arm out. "Whoa, chica, hold off on that. You're at a school filled with a bunch of people with superpowers. The majority of them are hormonal teenagers, so cool it for a second. Who are you and why were you trapped in that ice fort?"
The girl started to move, but seemed shaken and dizzy. Millie fought off the urge to help (consent was important), so she stayed in place. "I'm Millicent. Are you feeling okay? I could see about finding a nurse or someone. They have to have medics on standby here. She waited for the girl's response to being offered aid. Hopefully, it didn't escalate further than that.
Well now that I got the customary "post once" requirement out of the way....
[b][u]HELLO[/u][/b]
Otherwise, stick around! This is gonna get wild!
