Adelaide skidded to a stop in the dirt, nearly falling over. She had made it in time to find Drake coughing up blood. She had seen him fighting the men and had come over as soon as she could. He had taken quite a nasty hit with the bat unfortunately and she hadn't been able to get there in time to help. "Drake, yes it's me, oh my God."She came over and took his shoulders to help steady him. "Take it easy, buddy."She rubbed his back comfortingly. What were the odds of finding him again? She had been friends with him so long ago. Now that she had actually found him, she sure wasn't going to lose him again. She had been alone for so long now.
She followed his gaze to a man with a gun. She recalled him aiming at the dog. "Leave her and her dog alone!"She called to the man. The least she could do was try to help since the girl had been ready to save her life. People usually only looked out for themselves nowadays. It was rare they actually would help another person. However, Adelaide wasn't so sure how involved she wanted to get with Drake here.

Got my post up, sorry potter, but after Bleu had her do rip one of the attacker's throat out, I couldn't really think of a way for HIram to just decide they were the good guys off the bat

Since Vivi normally trades with the town though, I suppose he might actually recognize her, after given a few seconds to collect himself.

The sound of galloping made Adelaide glance over to find a blue-eyed girl looking down at her from a horse. She glanced behind her, hearing the man that had been chasing her grunting as a dog attacked him. She wasn't sure how she kept getting into these lucky situations where she avoided death but she was thankful. She wasn't so sure how much longer she could keep getting lucky.

"Grab my hand and get on, girl. It's much harder to track hooves and paws than noisy feet."

The girl was right by all means. She was one noisy runner and they'd track her despite how fast she had been running. Adelaide went to grab her hand when someone firing shots made her glance over her shoulder. She nearly froze in her tracks. Is that... Is that Drake? Drake was an old friend of hers. She hadn't seen him in years and had no idea of his whereabouts or his wellbeing. What the hell were the odds he'd be here out of all places?

"Hold on. That's my friend over there."She told the girl on the horse. "I'm really grateful for your help but I gotta make sure he's alright. I'm going to go back and face those men." She knew it wasn't the smart idea. The smart idea would be to get on the horse and get some distance. Who knew if these guys had backup? However, she wasn't about to lose a good friend again. She didn't have much family and he was the only friend she had ever had.

@Penguin I see most of the physical mutations as boring and very limited to how they work. While there are multiple ways to apply enhanced strength, even the weakest of non-physical powers have more applications. That doesn't mean I don't like them or won't use one, just that I'll need help choosing one.

The character I was thinking of would be a great leader, very strategic, kind-hearted, but willing to defend anyone against a threat. I was thinking of telekinesis at first because he would start oƒ barely able to do anything with it until he practiced enough, which would take a long time. The umbrakinesis to scout ahead and allow for an easy retreat of his allies. I can't think of a physical mutation that would match him.

If you have any ideas, I'll listen. I will say no to strength because that would turn him into a brute and that's not what I want. And I'd prefer no animal mutations unless he could get wings and fly.

That's because everyone was following along with how I described up until this point and that's why I had to further explain it. ;) This discussion is between me and RokkuHoshi anyway, Chukklehed. You can put the salt back in the shaker.

I'll put it here though. I gave examples and made it pretty clear.

Animals have been mutating faster than the world has ever seen before. The exposure to extreme radiation and chemicals has caused for change in their DNA. They are bigger, faster, and definitely more hungry. There have been cases of flying snakes, eight-foot wolves, and even three-foot wasps. Humans have been mutating too, with cases of men with large eyes with the ability to accomplish night vision and of people with teeth as sharp as razors. People are evolving regressively to be less like humans and more like beasts. There are smaller cases of people just getting small mutations such as a change in strength or speed but with each different mutation, it becomes more and more evident that these mutations are becoming completely unpredictable.

@Penguin Alright. Instead of the generalized telekinesis, how about umbrakinesis? No physical uses, only able to conceal himself and blind others temporarily.

We're going for physical mutations here buddy. Think less X-men. He could perhaps have a spray like a skunk or something that blinds people near him. Check out some character sheets. I'm thinking of people mutating to be like beasts either to a small extent or large extent. That's up to you.

And I was just gonna have him able to pull towards himself at first, not even fully lift until he has more practice. I would limit the range to 20 meters but can't use it if the item is closer than 10 meters. As the RP progresses, he'll slowly get stronger with it. As for exhaustion, it tires him out twice as much as if he were pulling with physical strength. Plus, how I planned to make him, most of the deadly stuff he could do is stuff he wouldn't do as it's against his morals.

LOL I'm not sure what you really want it for other than to pick stuff up, which assuming your character has arms, is just a slight convenience. Regardless, I'm going to say no. Sorry.
