Actually, just your character and the Archon of Shadow, now that I read more carefully. It felt like more people because a lot of the sheets mention deception, and the Archon of Change's powers sound a little like illusions, but I guess they technically aren't.
Lots of illusion mages, it seems.

Alright then. I already have ideas for how my character could become more involved in the story, so while I may start as a totally unaligned character, that may not be the case in later stages. Or maybe it will be, but either way I have rough plans for how such a character could become an important part of the RP, if I did decide to commit. It would help to see other sheets before I make mine, so I get a better sense for the world, but I'll do what I can until then.
I would be interested in playing as a minor character, if possible. Not an Exarch, or an Archon, or even a hero tied to them. Just a lone hero of sorts unaffiliated with the empire. Maybe on his own or perhaps under the employ of some other faction. My interest in RPs fluctuates unreliably, but I still want to give this a shot in a way that wouldn't negatively affect the story if I were to suddenly drop out. So yeah, a minor character with potential for growth if I decide to fully commit. If that is possible/allowed, I'll see about making a sheet using the hero template.

@gorgenmast Where have you been? I thought you were dead and I wept for thee. Get on Steam more often so I can bother you.
What a bunch of fuckin' morons.
Cheque.

Confirmed foreign shill.

@Dinh AaronMk Pictures like that are exactly why people don't think Communism can work. You don't even have enough for jpegs.

@mdk I hadn't considered that this may be an ongoing thing. That does change things. Although, I don't think anything Assad's opposition says is trustworthy. But if there are other sources claiming the same, I guess it may be true.
He figures he has Russian protection and that the current US President is weak.

But he's pretty much on the cusp of victory, with or without chemical weapons. If the rebels were about to bust down his door to crucify him, I would understand how he might reach that level of desperation. But no, the dude's winning, has Russian support, and up until the gas attack had the indirect approval of the US because Trump seems to be okay with what is happening there with Russia. He is putting all of that in jeopardy, and for what? So he can taunt the US (and the world), hedging his bets on the belief that the US is still unwilling to enforce the red line? Seems way too risky and unnecessary. Then again, I'm not a crazy dictator, so who knows what's going on in his head.
Maybe Assad really is that dumb, but Syria is currently a big clusterfuck and I'm not entirely convinced. There are a dozen other factions vying for control that could have been the ones to deploy the gas, that would make far more sense than Assad just randomly deciding he wants to spice his life up a bit by pissing off the US.
It doesn't make any sense. Not only was he winning the war, he had just gotten the US on his side - basically - via Trump, who generally seems to support Russian actions in the area. Not to mention Assad had supposedly given up his chemical weapons stockpiles to the UN a while back. Now, suddenly, he's got more chemical weapons and for some inexplicable reason he's dropping them on his civilians again. Given what we know, it doesn't make any damn sense. Maybe something was happening behind the scenes that would explain this sudden shift in policy, but nothing that is public helps explain why Assad would do something so stupid.
