@Hekazu I have my post all prepped. So all I've got to do are the rolls and then post. ^^

@Lucius Cypher I can't find any good reference picture of my character since I created him in my mind first. If you can find a black monk with thick wavy hair (not dreads) and preferably in a braid (though not necessary), light beard, and powerfully built, that'd be fine with me (But not like the image you have...that's just too much xP). ^^
@c3p-0h Aw, I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm going through the same/similar thing (mentally). I just want to retreat further and further away. I want to keep from others, and ultimately, myself.
But I wouldn't worry too much about school. It seems like, now-a-days, as long as you do it along the general guidelines, it's good enough (but it depends if you're seeking good grades (if they still do grades where you are, that is)).
Honestly, I could rant about how education is generally failed, but I don't know if you're American or going to school in America, so I'll save that for myself. xP
@c3p-0h NOOOOOOOO!!!!! *Rushes to perform CPR even though I don't know how and I don't know that that's what I should do*

What's going on? Is it really that bad? (You don't need to indulge me if you don't feel comfortable, I'm just concerned). I honestly hope you're not actually dying. :'(
@Kymera, I'm writing up a response for you now. @Xan the G, I have your response written. I should be posting soon/today.

I'll be posting despite your activity. Let me know soon if you'd like me to give you more time. Otherwise, I'll get you in the next round. ^^
@Kymera I picked Litten in Sun (I have to keep the tradition of starting with my favorite Element (Fire) and my usual starter type, which has always been Fire).

I disliked the fact that it's final form was bipedal. There has been no Fire Starter that hasn't been bipedal to some degree (Typhlosion). I wish they would change this up. I would have loved another Fire/Dark type that was a cat that I could have beside some of my favorite Pokemon (Houndoom and Ninetales). It looks cartoonish, but I understand they wanted a wrestler that cemented the idea of the Fighting-type (regulated martial arts) and Dark-type (wrestling/ninja/underhanded tactics). The Psuedo circus theme was interesting, at least. I don't think he's a bad Pokemon, I just wish they didn't go in the same direction as they always have.

I liked the idea of the Challenges. It wasn't a building that was just an in-and-out thing and then you have a badge. The puzzles were getting stale (easy) and I liked that the challenges were more interactive. I'm not too strict on tradition (outside of my "needing to pick the fire starter"). I don't think they should do it again. I can appreciate it being a unique aspect of Alola. But I liked the division of Captains and Kahunas. It was a nice change and a step back from the otherwise useless badges they would give you. The "Route Kahunas" were nice little side quest as well.

I agree with the map. Each island seemed pretty big at first, but once you got through each island, you can see how small they are. The only reason they took so long to traverse was the frequency of wild encounters and the number of trainers on each route. The graphics were nice, but you're right, it was all very guided as most Pokemon games are. (A reason I wanted to make this very open in the first place)

I thought Team Skull was a unique take on the Teams of the Pokemon Universe. They weren't the real threat, they were a distraction for Lusamine to reach an end she desired to reach. I don't think they've captured the insanity of Team Leaders as well as they did in this game (if only because of the character graphics and what they could do with it). However, if they re-make Diamond/Pearl, we'd get some good crazy from Cyrus and Team Galactic.

Additionally, I thought the post-game was light, but I understand that there was so much that went into creating this world that they added what they needed to. Though I'm not a big fan of Battle places (Tree, Frontier, etc.) I generally enjoy Battle Royals.

Poke Pelago and Festival Plaza are interesting. EV training is much easier (after having to research how to do it). Growing Berries seems much easier and stream-lined, which I appreciate (just getting there takes some work, which I'm not opposed to). I don't care much for the Festival Plaza, but I appreciate that it's there. The little mission aspect is cute and relatively fun. I just wish you could create/develop your own shops instead of having to hunt for them and it being entirely random.

Overall, I believe they did a great job. I don't miss the 3D (never used it, anyway) or the traditional structure of things. But, like any franchise, they'll learn from this and add things that are better than what they have and enhance things that are already great. Nothing's going to ever be perfect, so I just appreciate what they've added to this generation.

I'm going to be working on a response for @Kymera and @Xan the G. Let me know if you want any more time. :)

So, those of you playing Sun/Moon: which version did you pick? Which starter did you pick? And what do you like most about the game so far?
The dark skin of his chest vibrated with the strong pulse of anxiety. Some beads of sweat trailed through the forest covering his skin. His brow bubbled from humidity and excitement. He'd made sure his hair was tied back in an intricate braid so when it'd come undone, it wouldn't necessarily fall into his face. Regardless, his scalp perspired just as much which his thick and dark hair would absorb to produce a healthy sheen for itself.
He shifted his eyes down at the halfling, "Parum" he had to reiterate in order to remember for the sake of courtesy, watching her body shift under the will of her mind preparing to cast some sort of spell he'd likely never seen before. His eyes were then fixed on the door, but past the door. His arm rose with the Quarterstaff gripped to release it from his back.
The aged wood with metal castings for what seemed to be decoration had some gaps which didn't do much to compromise the door's integrity. The hardwood was almost unbreakable for most any melee attack. This eased his mind knowing there wasn't anything to not expect beyond the planks and fastings.
The murmurs faded to the back of his mind. The image of the door faded into everything his eyes could perceive. The noise of inside and outside filled his ears. He could feel the drafts of air, however resistant, against his exposed skin. When the portal gave way, his body responded on its own as his training had instructed.
The tall black figure with scales and wings covered in glitter was the first thing he'd seen. Orchid, he'd remembered, went straight for it. A slash and a slash was exchanged swiftly. His fingers slipped over a dart and he flung the object in a single movement that was filled with grace barely conceivable from its speed.

Just as the dart left his hand, he made the split decision to rush next to Brannor'sir, understanding that this was the safest place for him to be for the sake of Parum. It was also the safest place for himself, next to the Paladin. He'd moved only a few steps against the wall before he came up to a creature identical to the ones he'd slain in the town two days ago. As if a dance, the hand gripping the quarterstaff twirled against his free hand. The hand that once flung a dart continued its inertia toward the base of the rib cage of a Kobold that had somehow dodged from being covered in the nightsky spell. The knuckles of the fist pushed through the air as hard as his arm would allow.
The starry Kobold fell in two pieces at the hand of the mighty paladin just beside him. With only his bare hands, Ramando couldn't pretend his attack was anywhere around the level of fantastical display, but effectiveness was his goal. Now that a line of men was created, hopefully Parum would be able to effectively perform some such trick to the room still full of enemies.
I'm sorry, work has not been agreeable. The latest I'll have it up is tomorrow morning. ^^
@Hekazu Quick question: reroll for the Drake attack?

I was going to reroll for the second attack anyway. And I'll work editing the part tomorrow. ^^
@Prints Avoid Haha, that's excellent! Glad to hear it!
And of course you didn't get "me time." Thanksgiving isn't about being by yourself xP
