Lance rereads the paper and realizes how empty it is, but the less known about him the better. He closes his eyes and folds the paper in reassertion. He lets out a deep sigh in acceptance as this is what he wants to do, he smirks and takes another gulp of mead. He tucks the slip of paper in his pants and leans against the wall.

The wind is blowing cool fresh air, Lance had been posted up on the outside walls of the inn. He watches as a few people enter the inn, He smacks his lips as he is quite parched, he then reaches into his pockets and pulls out just enough funds for a bottle of mead "running low on money it seems" he sighs.

Lance then turns and enters the inn and approaches the bar tender, he smacks the money on the table "a bottle of mead please" he requests. The bartender slides Lance the mead and he catches it.

Lance hears a small commotion going on in the inn, "what are they all talking about" he asks as he takes a sip.

The bartender replies "They are all talking about the Dragon academy, if you would like to join go talk to that lady over there" The bartender points in the direction of the lady.

Lance puts his drink down "Dragon academy huh, I wouldn't mind joining" Lance says as he takes another gulp.

Lance begins walking towards the Lady, "Excuse me I am quite interested in joining the Dragon Academy" he says rubbing his head unsure if this is a good idea or not. He watches as there is a handful of other people wanting to join as well and they all seem to be writing on a peace of paper.

Bio: Lance lost both his parents at a early age and he was sent to a newly built foster home. He was one of the first as well as the oldest of the kids to come, he lived there peacefully the first couple years and had no problems with anybody everything was fine, their foster mother loved each of the kids equally and treated them with fairness and supplied them with what they needed. The kids would play tag or hide and seek outside, or took part in activities indoors. Around when Lance was 11 years of age the neighborhood he had lived in began to fall subject to gang violence and drug abuse, crime rate also increased dramatically during this period. It wasn't safe to go outside or be out at night. Lance being the oldest of the kids was also the bravest as he had a strong willpower and was afraid of nothing, he treated all of his foster siblings as if they were his biological brothers and sisters. He would take care of their bullies, teach them new things, and also supervised over them. He took over where the foster mother couldn't and played the role of the older brother role model. He even fended off attempted robberies on the foster home before, when he was 16 years old the foster homes funding was cut and 3 months later the foster mother fell deathly ill and passed away. The foster home was forced to be shut down and all the foster kids taken away to other homes or adopted. Lance left the hospital late night and went to the park. He sat down on the park bench and put his hands on his face in frustration. He then hears groaning coming from the bushes. He gets up and crept slowly toward the noise and sees a glowing green humanoid species. The alien had blue blood splattered all on the grass and onto a green lantern. He picks up the alien and holds his head, it whispers some words and knocks out dead. As it dies its ring comes off his finger, and shines green as it comes close to Lance. Lance steps backwards until he hits a tree and falls, the ring falls into his lap. He looks at it, and puts it on his finger becoming the chosen bearer of the ring. Green energy glows around him and he flies to Oa where he undergoes the basic training of a green lantern. He returns a year later and is looking to expand upon his knowledge as well as power control.
