Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)
Things you need to know about me?
I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.
I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.
I can see Michael empathizing with her, considering that he has also been experimented with. Though, he'd probably encourage her to get over her dependent life and the likes.
Superhuman Speed: As it says, he can go faster than an average human. He has discovered that he had already broken the speed barrier and has reached Mach 3 speed, impressive speed though he feels like he could still go faster.
Superhuman Reflexes and Awareness: Because of his power over speed, his brain is rewired to think faster and thus act faster. He is able to react faster than any other human being. His brain also processes things much faster than a normal human can so he is able to process everything that is going on around him even if he is speeding through them at inhumane speeds.
Superhuman Stamina: He can handle great stresses on his body without much trouble thanks to being conditioned with all the running and faster reflexes that he does and has.
Accelerated Regeneration: Any bullet holes, tears and injuries tend to heal much more faster because of his cells duplicating at an increased pace and thus he can heal faster.
Enhanced Mental Process: The main reason why he does so well in school - his power tapped into his brain to process information. He can test theories and run trial and errors and inhumane speeds. What would take a normal person over minutes of trial and error, Michael can process it in a few seconds.
Numbness: Pain has long since been taken away from him on the days that he was heavily experimented on. He doesn't remember how it was removed, he just knew that one day, he couldn't feel it anymore.
Memory Manipulation: While he can't really change what people remember, he can see what their memories are through direct contact. Michael knows of this power and would not use it unless needed. It can be countered by resisting him mentally or by throwing useless memories at him until he tires out. This would merely anger him. Unconscious people are easier to see through.
Enhanced Durability: He can take a lot more hits. Since he can't feel pain, he doesn't know where his limit is so he doesn't know that it isn't normal.
Bio: Michael was born an orphan. He didn't know of his lineage. There was one thing he did know. Wherever he was, it wasn't exactly the safest place. A young boy placed in an experimental orphanage. Every child would be subjected to experiments that could only be described as torture for them. Some had it even worse. Michael's power emerged from him the same way it did to his grandparents - they were given to him through painful experiments. Apparently, the orphanage was working for the government to create superhuman beings to combat the other superhumans/mutants that goes against the government.
Michael witnessed his friends' deaths, one by one. Sometimes there were two at the same day, sometimes there were three, sometimes there were none - but they were all subjected to extreme pain. Michael's power soon emerged when he was six years of age, alongside some of the others. The scientists were joyous to see this and began training them to become super soldiers. Not only were they conditioned to have resilient bodies, they were conditioned to know that the government was right. But nothing always goes as planned, everyone knows that. At the age of eight, Michael and some of the others sneaked into the headmaster's quarters and then managed to read the files (one of them had an illusion power). They realized that every single one of them had some blood relation to a hero of the past. They were kidnapped to combat what their ancestors were fighting for.
Angered but knew they could not stand up to their captors in their young age, they continued training. Day by day, they thought about escaping. And everyday, they thought about revenge. One fateful day came when superheroes raided the orphanage, aiming to stop the experimentation on children. Michael was aged 14 at that day and he helped retaliate. He had to fight other trainees, those who had stayed loyal to the government. When it was over, there were only two superheroes left. Michael had went with a man named Gerald Totskey who had the power of foresight with him.
They lived together, gave Michael a new name (Ezra was the name given to him by the scientists) and then slapped on the Maximoff name so that he would remember her lineage. Gerald's training... wasn't exactly what he was expecting. It was way easier and less painful, so Michael created his own training regiment. When he was 16, however, Gerald foresaw that he would have to leave home to find his own greatness. Michael had no choice but to follow his master's instruction and left. He soon found out that Gerald had lied about it and foresaw his own death, and that's why he sent Michael away.
It was then that he heard a particular recruitment order - find James Victor Rogers. They said he will find purpose there. And so Michael sought him out to see what he had in plan. He found the guy and now joins him in his cause.
That was two years ago, from the present.
Family/Relationships: His friends from the orphanage never stayed in touch with him, so he doesn't know how they are. He just wishes for them to be fine.
James Victor Rogers - Michael met the guy because he needed to. But, in the two years that they've known each other, Michael has grown to trust James and treat him as a good friend. He still thinks his failure to see impossibility to help someone would be his downfall - but it hasn't happened yet, and hopefully, it won't happen ever.
Kate Thorsdottir - Michael met Kate a year before he joined up with James. It was because Gerald [Foresight] had given him an order to go to a location where he foresaw a woman wielding a hammer of bright blue. Once there, he fought with the woman - instantly recognizing the hammer as Mjolnir thanks to the lightning (and admit it, there were only few people who used a huge hammer as a weapon). After that, Michael and her exchanged contacts so they could help each other when they needed it. They met a few times more after Michael joined James but never telling the latter who they were working with. He can figure it out.
Weapons: He has covered his hands, arms and legs with a sort of metallic alloy that allows his attacks to be extra devastating. It doesn't hinder his speed nor is it particularly heavy. Light and durable.
Personality: Michael isn't exactly someone you'd call trustful, or optimistic. You can understand why, given what he's been through. However, he can be quite social. Laughing with people, sharing spooky stories and the likes, but he's always cautious of what other people say and what he says as well. He rarely lets anything slip out unintentionally. Though his paranoia isn't obvious, people who know him well know it is there. Some say it is needless paranoia, but for him, in this world, paranoia is his best friend. He knows his priorities and being a morally neutral character often does him good. If there's little to no chance of saving a person, he isn't going to save them unless convinced otherwise.
Other: He has a pretty thick Russian accent. He seems to have a habit of calling others by their last names. He can probably improve his power more to the point of how Quicksilver uses his as he is still training. He does't know why Pietro's power surfaced in him rather than Wanda's power of probability. Some say he might get the two powers but he highly doubts that.
Superhuman Speed: As it says, he can go faster than an average human. He has discovered that he had already broken the speed barrier and reached around 800 miles per hour, just as fast as a bullet. He can probably go faster but he's still working on that.

Enhanced Mental Process: The main reason why he does so well in school - his power tapped into his brain to process information. He can test theories and run trial and errors and inhumane speeds. What would take a normal person over minutes of trial and error, Shindo can process it in a few seconds.

A gunshot resounded around the area followed by a thud. A heavily covered person stood before a lifeless body, a revolver pointed at the corpse. Blonde hair peeked through the turban that the person wore and bright blue eyes stared coldly at it. She let out a sigh and then placed the revolver back into its holster under her dark cloak. "If only 'ya just listened, it wouldn't have ended like this." She said with a shake of her head.
She then spun around and then began to head out of the house. Her footsteps echoed in the empty establishment, creating an eerie tune. She hurried out of it, not out of fear but rather out of urgency. Time to turn it in. Once she was out of the house, she was immediately greeted with the sight of a crowd forming around her, or rather the house itself.
Murmurs that blended into each other, creating a screeching symphony, erupted when she stepped out. Eyes fell upon her and people began accusing her of things she did do, but they didn't know the context behind it. They didn't dare come closer, not when she had such a menacing gun slung over her shoulder.
Adira looked at them and then raised the cover of her mouth that was part of her cloak. Shit, did that wake up the whole town? Of course it would. She guessed that would have been really loud. How will she get out now?
"Clear the way!"
A deep voice rumbled out and everyone scattered, making way to three people dressed in guard uniform. Adira calmly looked at them. Her right hand gripped tightly on the strap of the Reaper. The captain, by the looks of his uniform, ordered the two to go inside and he stayed by Adira. He was of the Wolven folk, built like a warrior with a battle axe strapped on his back. He was like a wall between her and the people, and also her freedom.
The two guards came back running. They reported their findings and the people revolted, shouting profanities until silenced by the guard once again. The captain looked at Adira, eyes boring holes into her. "You are hereby under arrest for murder of Rajir Habvid. Any resistance will be met with violence." He then harshly grabbed her wrists and then the two guards cleared the way for them and she was led towards the jailhouse.
Adira did not struggle against him though. In fact, she just went with him. She was shoved inside the jailhouse and then they looked at each other. The captain sighed, emerald green eyes looking at Adira like she was a joke. "What in the name of the gods was that? I thought you said you were doing it cleanly."
"Ain't my fault Cap'n." Adira replied before swiping a bottle and then drinking from it. She could see the captain scrunch his nose at the stench of alcohol. "He wouldn't come silently so I had to put a bullet between his eyes. Or else, I would've been the one on the ground."
The captain rubbed his forehead. "Ugh, fine. But they can't see you leave here unscathed. We'll send you over to Auguston. Pretty close and there's a small inn there called the Lazy Dragon and there's a small Adventurer's Guild stall there, even after the whole independent inn thing. It's a little run down but it's still alive." He then took a pouch of gold and then tossed it towards her and she deftly caught it. "I think they're calling you over there."
"Thanks a bunch Cap'n. S'ppose I ain't going back for a long time eh?" Adira asked with a grin as she was led towards the back door and a small cruiser was there.
"Nope." The captain said before crossing his arms. "Or else I'll lose my job. Come back here... preferably in thirty years or so, or never at all."
Adira gave him a big grin and then sat down inside and closed the door. The driver didn't speak to her. She then gave the captain a small wave before the car lurched forward.
"Oh damn, Auguston's been hit pretty hard." The driver commented as they drove in. He stopped in front of the village to let her out. "Good luck man." He said.
"Thanks. Take care on your trip back." The turban wearing woman exited the vehicle and then proceeded to walk towards the inn. Auguston probably got hit by Reapers again. She bowed her head at the fighters who were burning bodies. She kept to herself as she hurried towards the inn, not wanting to fill her nostrils with the smell of burning bodies. Adira rarely went here. The Line was only a few miles away so she usually just passed by this place without much thought. Though she kind of wished she saw this place when it wasn't in this kind of state.
The inn wasn't any better either. Poorly taken care of and obviously not used very much, but it was standing. Adira entered and then immediately went looking for where the little stall was. She was already an official member of the Adventurer's Guild, it's just that she doesn't know about this particular branch. Disappointing right?
She found it quite easily. She noticed other people but she merely sat down on one of the seats on a table that wasn't occupied and then leaned back on it, looking at the mysterious cloaked figure. She was pretty sure this was the guy she needed to find. Alrighty. She's pretty interested on what they're going to do.
