Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Dimitri Volkova

The day had been relatively peaceful for the third year Russian. Well, it was as peaceful as peaceful could get in this school. Only a few people dared bother Dimitri in his, in their eyes, silent vigil. After all, why bother the looming figure at the back of the room when you can ask the nice class president if he saw where something was? Dimitri was used to this kind of treatment, and frankly, he didn't mind anymore. Though there would be certain points in the day where someone approached him to ask something before scurrying away once they're finished.

The bell rung and the teachers dismissed them. Dimitri packed his things and exited the room with his classmates. As he headed for his locker, someone slapped him on the back. He then peered over to the male beside him who was wearing a smile. "Daithi, is there something you need?" He asked. Daithi was one of the members of the Kendo Club and one of his few friends within this school. He was in the same year but a different class; Daithi wasn't exactly the brightest bulb out of all of them but he was smart enough to inherit his father's company so there's that.

"Nothing man. Just walking with you to the Kendo Club." Daithi replied with a shrug.

Dimitri blinked before shaking his head. "I'm not going to the Kendo Club." Daithi looked at him with his head tilted sidewards, silently asking why he's not going to his own club when it was the first day. Summer had been fun, yes, but they didn't see each other as frequently as one would expect. "It's the first meeting of the Host Club. I'm attending." Dimitri continued. It was a known fact that he had been planning to join, and has joined, the Host Club in Ouran for the sole reason of making more friends - friends outside the Kendo Club. While he originally expected more resistance from his clubmates, they accepted it wholeheartedly, claiming that 'Mori-senpai' had also done that.

"Ah, gotcha." However, Daithi continued walking with him. Dimitri didn't say anything and they walked in silence for a couple of moments before the kendo club member spoke up once more, "Heard that girl Azura Lunarie's the one who would take over. I don't think it's such a good idea. Remember what happened to her? Studied at home for the remainder of last year because of some emergency or something like that. That girl carries some bad stuff Dimitri."

Of course he remembers. The news blew up in school since these were simply special circumstances and it rarely happened. "I do not care about this information." He said as they reached the lockers and then they began changing in their respective outfits. Daithi donned the Kendo Club uniform while Dimitri settled for a simple long sleeved button up shirt, pants, sneakers and a long jacket that had become one of his signature clothing. "She would have not returned if she was still bothered by this correct?"

Daithi shrugged. "Hey, I'm just repeating what I heard." He then patted his friend's arm once more and then they exchanged farewells and went on their separate ways.

However, Dimitri's reasoning isn't simply because he wanted some friends - it was also to help out. While he did say that he doesn't care about the rumors surrounding Azura, he was quite worried that she was still going through some painful things. Perhaps he could do his best to help her get through it. After all, he didn't like seeing people with a long face. Maybe he'll also come across some other hosts or hostesses that also were in need of someone to lend an ear, which he would happily give.

Stuffing his hands inside his jacket's pockets, he quickly made his way to Music Room no. 3. He remembered his first time going there. He was assaulted by a mass of rose petals and a serene atmosphere inside. Familiar faces such as Haruhi Fujioka, Kaoru and Hikaru Hitachiin were there - they had been in his year before they were accelerated due to excellent grades. Tamaki Suoh, the previous King, had gladly explained to him what was going on in there which cleared things up for the Russian - but he soon brushed it aside.

It's funny, how he didn't resolve to join at that time. Well, better late than never correct? He began to slow his pace once he saw the plate name above the door that showed that the room was, indeed, there. He saw a flash of red disappear inside along with a voice singing along something. Dimitri arrived just as the doors closed. He took a deep breath and the turned the knob and entered. The room was empty - it felt way different from what he had felt before. With no customers and the previous club members gone, it just felt different.

His red eyes flashed towards the woman that had just entered. It was Azura Lunarie, there was no mistaking it. He had at least known what she had looked like before joining. He silently closed the door behind him and then moved to an empty seat. Once he caught the woman's attention, he would then say - "Good afternoon." - and then would sit himself down. He had never formally met her or the other club members. Here's to hoping that they would be as nice as he thought they would be. He was sure to see some students in his year as he heard that Amanda - a student of his year - was also planning on joining, the information given by one of his clubmates at the Kendo Club. He then leaned back on the chair and awaited a formal start.

Not to be rude or anything, but wouldn't she be in 2-A if she's a second year? Based on age at least.

On another note, I could make Dimitri's little sister who attends Ouran Middle School - have her as a customer but more because she's visiting and playing with the hosts rather than flirting with them.

'Fraid, I don't know the series, but the name is vaguely familiar.

So it's a go for the vice president position as well?

|Name|: Dimitri Volkova

|Nickname|: Dima

|Role|: Foreigner/Mysterious type

|Age|: 18

|Gender|: Male

|Sexual Orientation|: Asexual (but not opposed to romance; only accepts females as much as possible)

|Personality|: Dimitri comes off as an intimidating character as he, more often than not, towers over most people in the vicinity. He is silent when not spoken to so it gives off the vibe that he's an introvert or some sort of brooding type. However, when spoken to, he is actually quite a nice guy. He would often sport a smile and talk about whatever someone is interested in. He is the type of guy to reflect conversations and avoid topics that are personal - more often than not, he expresses unusual interest to the other person when they try to ask something about himself. Unexpectedly, he's quite sensitive and would often encourage his customers to tell him about their problems.

When not requested for a time, he would go around helping people but still keeps silent. He is often hailed as an errand boy as he has no qualms against being ordered around. He also is a hard worker and doesn't shy away from tedious work, so he ended up with helping to maintain finances and balance their costs. He has a good head on his shoulders and an excellent understanding of money. He is very loyal to Azura. Dimitri has shown that he would go above and beyond for his friends. This, of course, includes anyone in the Host Club. Of course, this also extends to the customers as he assures them that if someone decides to get violent or bully them, he would step up. In the case that there is fighting within their ranks, he would look to Azura for how he will stop it.

He's a hard guy to anger but once you do, you better watch out. His build isn't just for intimidation. He was often called a beast when he wishes to scare someone out of their wits. It takes a lot of effort to get him to calm down again but he tends to make grudges. He doesn't easily forgive unless he has a good reason too. One way to convince him to trust you again is to have a sort of heart to heart talk with him. He can be a little socially awkward hence the reason why he doesn't talk about himself as he feels that he would bore them and they wouldn't come back.

|Biography|: Dimitri was born in Russia but his parents moved to Japan by the time he was three so he doesn't remember much about his mother land. He gathered that his father had to move to Japan after a series of circumstances surrounding his job that then ended with his father taking over the company branch in Japan, which then led to the rise of money for the Volkova famiy. Naturally, Dimitri then grew up with a silver spoon. Anything he wanted was given to him but his parents ingrained the lesson of being humble into him when he was young so he learned how to take a 'no' from his parents and from other people and so he didn't grow up spoiled.

He grew up pretty fast and thus, already towered over his peers. Most people hesitate to talk to him because of this and he ended up with only a few friends. Evidently, it caused him to have trouble actually making friends instead of mere acquaintances. But he wouldn't say that he didn't enjoy his childhood. His few friends were very close and more than happy to make his life a good one even with the few numbers. He also has a little sister, younger by four years. She would usually tag along when the group goes somewhere. She was half the reason why he enjoyed his childhood, up to now really. The two shared a very close bond and whenever they are together, they tend to stick together.

Upon choosing for a high school, his parents decided to send him to Ouran Highschool where they hope that he will be able to make more friends there. Unfortunately, Dimitri didn't fit in as quickly as they expected. Without his old friends, he was at a lost. As he drifted in his first year, he stumbled upon the host club. Originally with no purpose, he asked around about them. He didn't understand much about it and soon it was at the back of his mind. At the end of his first year, he joined the Kendo Club and showed a lot of promise for this.

He continued on and then he heard the rumor that there was another 'King' as Tamaki Suoh had graduated along with everyone else. Curious, he visited once more and was pleasantly surprised that it now accommodated everyone. He joined the host club after a talk with Azura. He was also seeking help to make friends and what better than to, er, 'flirt' with them to get to know them better. While he has been able to garner friends in the Kendo Club, he still wanted to meet more. So far, it's been working and people hasn't tried to shut him out yet so he was pleased with this and decided to continue being part of the club. He feels like he owes a lot to Azura for letting him in, and the other hosts and hostesses for bearing with him.

Due to his past, he has a high tolerance for alcohol.

Sooo, I made this guy. I wasn't sure about the role and I would like to ask you if a sort of 'therapist' type of guy isn't too farfetched for a role? And he could also double as the vice president if you'll have him.
@AngelofOctober

Glad you like him. He was fun to write too.
Garfield felt a jolt and he woke up. He was sweating and his heart was beating so fast that he felt like he just came back from another mission in the field. But, he did not know what had caused this. He does not remember his dream. He tried to think back, but all that came back to him was a black image. He slowly sat up and looked around. His room, stationed on the first floor, had been reconstructed so that the room was blast proof - so that when he unknowingly thrashed around in his sleep and accidentally threw something, it would not blow another hole in the wall. It had been quite expensive but well worth it. It would have been much more expensive to keep on repairing the walls, after all.

He turned to his clock.

6:00 AM.

The bright red numerals stated. He did not feel that he lacked sleep - in fact, this was supposed to be when he would wake up. Usually one of the first to rise, if he wasn't mistaken. This might have been due to the fact that he was trained in the military but he felt that training slip from him, as they would wake up earlier than that. Nevertheless, Garfield quickly made his way around, taking a short shower and then pulling on a white shirt and cargo pants. He began making pancakes, taking his time. While, originally, he had wanted to cook for everyone, it became increasingly obvious that the fact that they all had different kitchens meant that they would often cook for themselves so he ended up just making one for himself.

Garfield took his time with eating. By the time he was finished, it was around 7:30, as it also included him just lounging around and watching some television to past the time. Seeing that it was quite late and he'd better get a move on, he stood up. He took a bondolier and slung it over his shoulder. He then wore his gloves and made his way outside. As expected, it was still quite empty in the ground floor.

As if on auto-pilot, he made his way outside. As expected, there was another sign there, placed by the many haters of their kind. He wasn't blind to the glares he was being given every time he exited the apartment when they were around to buy something from the convenience store. He preferred to ignore them. Serenity probably wouldn't like it if he decided that maybe one person could make do without an arm, or if someone could spend a night in the ER for a bloody face and multiple broken bones. He looked around and saw an elderly couple walking by. He had half a mind to greet them but when their eyes met - the couple narrowed it into a glare and started hurriedly walking pass.

The greeting, of course, died in his throat. Four years and he still hadn't gotten used to not greeting the elderly. His mother's teachings were quite deeply rooted. He let out a sigh before exiting the gate and taking the sign down. He could get rid of it now, no one would wake up. It was light and would barely make a sound. Or maybe Serenity would like to see it? Being their leader and all that, he wondered if the woman would like to know that another sign had been propped up. Figuring that she already expected it, he threw it down and it created a very minuscule explosion comparative to that of a pop pop firework, albeit a little louder.

No one seemed to have noticed. He locked the gate and then went on to have his morning jog around the neighborhood. It was always best to do it early in the morning. He had set a time when if he woke up late, he would have to run on a treadmill. When too many people were milling about, a peaceful jog is the farthest thing he could think off. Halfway back to the apartment, two kids were running towards him. Slowing down, he allowed the children to catch up. A big mistake on his part really as the two brandished water balloons and pelted them at him. Drenched, he quickened his pace back to the apartment.

"Monster!"

"Get out of here!"

Their voices carried through the neighborhood and other parents seemed to have filed outside. Garfield swung open the gate and locked it once more. He wasn't used to children mocking him, wanting him to disappear from their lives. They usually just stayed away or looked at them with awe - because they were children and they looked up to them as they had powers. Perhaps their parents were less accepting and more open about their hate of mutants. Perhaps they were not children but rather teenagers? Thought a little prank at one of the residents in their apartment was a good laugh. His head was hurting and he had to grasp the wall to keep himself from falling. There was nothing more he'd like than to teach those two little bastards a lesson on who they ought to mess with.

Just at that time, Aimi had announced through the speakers that they would meet in the lounge. Garfield seemed to forget about being wet or being angry and turned immediately to the lounge. He sat down on one of the seats and was facing the door. Once Serenity and Riko came in, he greeted them, "Good morning."
@AngelofOctober

Ooh, looking forward to the sub arc. Really curious on what information about Q we might unearth during the story.
@AngelofOctober

I'd be good with sub-arc 1. Maybe start off as a slice of life? Well, depending on how many people decide to join the trip, I'll adjust Garfield accordingly.
@AngelofOctober

Aaannnddd, that's why Garfield doesn't actually ask if he needs help, just... wait and see if Timothy has any tasks for him. You know, just in case.

I like to think Garfield as some sort of errand boy - like, "Garfield, go buy this." or "Garfield, take this out."
