Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

Whatever this messed up reality was, Ayane couldn't comprehend what happened as gravity seemingly shifted for no apparent reason and they were falling down to the wall which was now going to be their new floor. She was sliding down the floor before slamming onto the floor. Thankfully, she and the others had landed safely enough but there was no doubt that it would have been lethal under certain circumstances - this... this didn't make any sense. It can't be. But the objects they had packed up from earlier were now falling towards them. Quickly recovering and getting out of the way, the loud thuds that followed the deadly projectiles woke her up. It was very much real and that meant that she could die at any moment and she had to avoid that.

Before she could even catch her breath, there was another shift of gravity and they were now heading straight for the door. Hearing Masahiro's order to jump before they all slammed into the door and open it to... whatever is beyond after all of that, Ayane managed to leap at the order and safely land. She could only hope for everyone else's safety. She whipped her head to the side to see if they all made it safely. They did not. She watched as Mai and Hideaki was taken down with a speaker and slamming into the two first years and the doors opened.

"Mai! Hideaki!"

The two first years had slipped through the doors and into the void below. Shit. Thankfully, Mai and Hideaki were caught by Masahiro. Scrambling to get her friends and fellow clubmates to safety, she began trying to help Masahiro with pulling them up. They can't fall through. She could only pray for the first two years to be...

Before she could think of anything else, everything just blacked out.

She was lying down for some reason. That was not what she remembered doing the last time she was awake. She lolled her head to the side and saw cars. Cars? Inside the gym? Her vision went black for a moment and she let out a groan. She laid there for another moment. When she heard shuffling, she knew she had to get up. She had to. Ayane forced herself to stand up and looked around.

Yep. This was definitely not their gym.

When Kiyoko had looked around using her phone and it was surprisingly bright enough to actually help them in this area, Ayane grabbed her own phone and turned it on. She quickly turned it away as soon as she pressed the power button. She brought one hand up to rub her eyes and she grumbled something under her breath. Looking at the screen, it was just pure white. Well. Shit. She looked up to Kiyoko who was now going around and checking everyone for injuries. Ever the responsible one, Kiyoko was. Though she could imagine that she was just as disoriented and devasted from what happened earlier as everyone else was.

But they needed to focus on themselves for now. She looked around to her current companions. So of course there was herself and Kiyoko, then there was Amisaki Kyou - the kid from the archery club if she remembered correctly. Then Tsuchihana Ren, a fellow third year who was in the Track and Field. She was more acquainted with Ren's teammate Saki who wasn't here. And the last one was a first year... Kuma... Kumagai. Right. Him.

With everyone relatively fine, they began to explore around. It was some sort of underground car park filled with destroyed cars or just useless cars in general. There was nothing of interest in them as far as Ayane could see. The first car's door didn't even budge and the second did but there was nothing inside. Unfortunately. She couldn't drive but Kiyoko could and maybe a car would be able to help them a bit. Still, no key. No nothing. No one else seemed to be around aside from them too. Ayane almost strayed out of the group's way when Kumagai had called out that he found something. Ayane hummed to herself as she made another sweep around the area she had checked for a quick second before congregating with the group.

It was an ambulance. Looking at the others, she nodded at them and went towards the front door. No one was inside. She tried the door only to find it locked. She looked over to the others who were going to check the back door. "Nothing up here." She called out.

Shrine in the Forest - ???
Hiroko looked over to Kaito as he suggested going forth to explore some more. It would be a good idea but the idea of some form of safety from even a crumbling structure like the shrine was tempting. However, Honami wanted to stay and look around some more for anything that might be of interest - which was highly unlikely of course.

"Just yell if you need any help. I'll keep an eye on Honami here. Stay close." She reminded him as he exited the shrine. Giving Honami a nod, Hiroko had idled away near the entrance just in case Kaito would need their help. She was fidgeting with her lighter for a quick moment, flipping it over while opening and closing it. She didn't want to waste any of her lighter fluid needlessly.

Every hair on her body stood up in alert when the scream echoed to them.

“Get away from me!”

"It isn't." Hiroko agreed as she bolted out of the shrine as soon as she said that. There was another person in the forest with them and it would be for the best if they get a guide. Hopefully, she wasn't panicking because of Kaito or something. Kaito seemed to be a mild mannered person after all and he didn't seem like the type of person who would induce such a reaction.

Hopefully, they'd be able to help and whoever this mystery woman would be willing to help them out too.

Hey, sure, I'm game! Sounds like a fun dynamic. Ayane could also help Amélie be a bit more organized, while she could help Ayane loosen up a little.

Also I can see people being scared of Ayane, and Amélie just blinking and going "whaat, what are you talking about? she's a sweetheart!" And then proceed to cling-hug her.

Excellent! She definitely would. She probably gets a little stressed whenever Amélie is just a mess and probably tries to reign in her impulsiveness. And Amélie helping her have fun is definitely appreciated.

Pfft, and just Ayane standing there with the blankest look on her face but isn't putting up an effort to push her away. And she secretly enjoys it but no one knows that
@Vertigo

Oh I wanted to ask you if you wanted Amélie and Ayane to be friends. Like maybe at first they weren't exactly what you would call "getting along" because of Amélie's lack of boundaries but maybe Amélie's stubbornness won her out? Like the typical - usually silent and reserved one being really good friends with the outgoing and bubbly one.

Could help with her sexuality too since it isn't exactly a secret that Ayane is bi af

Looking forward to die.

Mood.

Location: Spring Hill; Lounge
Interactions: Sienna @Allycat

Maria didn't have anything to do for the morning. They just amped up her medication and added a few more therapies and some more powerful sleeping pills. Maria was rather glad that she didn't have a full schedule filled with talking with the doctors about the voices in her head and the people who were always there but wasn't really and the nightmares and the"-Time to come home-". She let out a sigh as the PA system buzzed to life. Huh, IT 2? Maria wasn't going to torture herself through a horror movie. Especially that one. "-Not comfortable with clowns?- not really-" The chef sounded nice. Maybe the lesson would be able to distract her enough.

Ah. So another one was gone. This time it was Bethany Pierce. She didn't know the woman very well but she was just one among the people that had left the institution. Graduated, essentially. They've been cured of their illnesses and is now back at their own homes living their normal lives. At first, Maria had the dreams of becoming one of them. To leave. But then came the doubts. The voices that told her that it was dangerous - that something was wrong. "-Getting out is impossible-" But also that it was a sweet reprieve. But she felt like it would be hard to get out - one way or another. She'd been there for nearly a year and she hasn't been cured yet. A crash. Still, it was rather worrisome that she hasn't ever heard from any of the other patients who have left before. "-Bethany wasn't better the last time I saw her-"

Maria stared at the cup of coffee in her hands. The voices were starting to get weaker until they were white noise that she could barely understand. The muddier, the better. She brought the cup of coffee to her lips as she watched a woman - Sienna, she remembered - leave the lounge. She let out a sigh before grabbing the pocketbook she had borrowed from the facility before. It had been her third time reading it but it was to-

Something dashed from one end of her vision to the other. A black silhouette. Typical really. She was certain it wasn't real. Kind of. The patients don't dash like that. Nor do they sit ominously to the side with a black shadow over them. She blinked once. Twice. Thrice. Ah, there we go. They were gone. Oh, Sienna came back. She looked sick. After weighing her options, she stood up and headed towards her. She jerked back for a moment as something passed by right in front of her. Shaking her head, she continued her walk towards Sienna.

"Sienna." Maria called out softly and her eyes seemed to unfocus for a moment before sharpening again. "You seem unwell. Do you need anything?"

Ayane would be lying if she said that the Cultural Festival passed by just like any other - this one had a sense of foreboding to it. With it being her last year, it would be the last time she would have to give exhibition matches for the kendo club and staying late at school to prepare for the class's own stand. It was obvious that everyone felt the same way so they decided to go out with a blast by putting up a Haunted House that was guaranteed to be the best the school has and will ever offer. Or... well, so they wanted to advertise it. All the effort that went into the props and preparing the room to seem like a maze was worth it though. Ayane worked with the props - scaring people by having a doll drop in front of them is quite amusing.

Of course, she spent more time in the Kendo Club as per her deal with her classmates. It took precedence after all. Most of what they did was basically the same as they did every year - a couple of exhibition matches for people's amusement, a workshop for anyone interested and a small tea cafe for people's relaxation. Suffice to say, Ayane had made a lot of memories in her last Cultural Festival. Perhaps she should visit again in the future; if anything, to check on her underclassmen at the Kendo Club to see how they're holding up.

By the end of the Cultural Festival, Ayane and some of the Kendo Club members found themselves helping out Masahiro with clean-up. There were a bunch of others there - student council was present too and Mai was helping out on that side. Katsu was with her though which made it a lot easier. While she can't say that she was impressed with him when he first entered - his demand to challenge each member of the Club did not settle well with Ayane - she could say that she respects him a bit more now. The only reason she had managed to beat him during that time was because she outlasted him. Otherwise, he might have bruised both her and her confidence.

Among the students, Ayane was surprised to see both Goro and Kou - though the latter was more ordering a first year around rather than helping outright. Still, for some reason or another, they were here. Goro, she could probably think of a few reasons for. The rumors circulating around the school about his gang is less than ideal so he was likely being pushed into always being under the eyesight of the Student Council. Kou... Ayane will likely never know. Tearing her attention away from them, she went back to placing plastic chairs back to the storage area.

Once they finished, Ayane was fully intending to head back home. It was getting late and she had a couple of things to do for her family. However, when Masahiro had suggested buying food for everyone to eat and the fact that Kiyoko and Mai were both staying as well, Ayane had relented to her own internal argument and stayed. She gravitated towards the Student Council Preside and Vice-President. Two of the first years had volunteered to grab the food when the boy - Arata - couldn't pull open the door. A sense of unease washed over everyone but Masahiro lightened the mood by taking the blame of 'locking it out of habit'.

When the floor began to shake, Ayane quickly adjusted herself to keep herself standing but she had to spread her arms out to prevent falling over. She looked towards Kiyoko and Mai who were both struggling in keeping their balance as well and the ground suddenly looked very enticing to sit down on. Ren had warned them about any loose objects that might fall over and hurt them. Thankfully, they've managed to move most of them out of the way. "It will." Ayane agreed with Ren as she moved to keep both Mai and Kiyoko stable for the time being but found herself nearly falling over as well. "Just stay calm." She added though she imagined that kind of advice was already automatically given at times of crisis - but rarely followed.
@RoboCatVery good presentation and really in-depth. Some of the relationship status choices are spot-on and I really like how the backstory incorporates them as well. Also, not a goody-two-shoes (an auditor on top of that!), like most of the cast, so fits rather well. Regarding his smoking vice, note that doing so is prohibited within the school-grounds. And, as part of the Student Council, you are expected to maintain an image. Just a reminder, since I assume you are already aware (smoking at the roof does look like a good solution to the problem). Obviously, will matter less once reality is turned upside down and chaos ensues, then you´ll be able to smoke until you run out of cigarettes! You may add your char to the character tab if its complete, i see no issues with it.

@Polaris NorthWe've got ourselves a badass (we certainly were lacking one). I don't really have much to say other than that it's solid and gives me a lot to work on. Also, great Faceclaim. Accepted.

Kendo club stronk.

We're currently at six players. I will already start writing and organizing a rough sketch of a first IC post, as I've already have enough to work on. That said, like I said before, I won't actually allow players to post in the IC until everyone who expressed interest finishes their sheet (up to nine), so keep them coming!

Well, the badass ones usually either survive or be the first ones to go. Waving wooden stick is amazing against humans, ghosts however... less so. In any case, looking forward to what you'll cook up mate.
