I never notice someone's post count until I see (ignore post count) and then I totally look at it, out of habit and curiosity.

  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

"As far as I'm concerned, he can have her," Kayden remarked to Auberon, seeing the bathhouse filling up now. A few of the boys he swore he had seen before, likely nobleborn fellows who had been introduced to him. He had just been about to respond to Jorah, but Auberon's comment was like a lifeline. If only someone else here would steal her, he would be elated. Shrugging his fair shoulders, fashionably tanned from his sword drills and afternoon horserides, he turned his head Jorah's way. "Not all of them, no. I'm just lucky, I guess. I won't be one of those highborn assholes that complain about his lot in life as if being royalty is a vast burden, but when you're a prince, you do have to make some sacrifices. And she's not my wife, yet."

That last bit was pointedly targeted at Auberon.

Kayden actually felt very at ease here, and not simply because the water was just the right temperature to relax his body in its entirety. Speaking of which, he let his arms slip off the stone sides and he sank in a bit deeper, letting the water reach his neck. The prince expelled a satisfied breath. Gods, he missed the palace. Suitably warmed, he glanced at Derec and chuckled. Not maliciously, however. He simply couldn't help but be a bit amused. This was the perfect place to talk about women, when the women couldn't hear them. It wasn't uncouth to have a private conversation after all, and none of the guys present were sleazy in anyway, at least as far as Kayden knew.

"Why not? Girls are fun." Kayden replied, and he knew Jorah would at least agree with him. They didn't always see eye to eye if the battle with the bandits was any indication, but this was a subject they could probably talk on for hours. "I'm interested in one or two here, though I'm hesitant." He seemed saddened for a moment. Not overly so, but as if he remembered a relatively that had died many years ago, a feeling of loss, though there was little sting left. "My only concern is my position. If I start dating a woman here with Veronica snooping about, she'll either make the girl's life hell or they'll think I'm just using them for a short time before I toss them out. Maybe I'm over thinking things. I guess we could change the subject if any of you would rather speak on something else."

He regarded Rudolph, noticing him speak up. Good! He wasn't hiding like Kayden had expect, though truthfully he had nearly forgotten he was there until he spoke.

And the conversation had already begun to crash and burn before it began...

"Yeah, it's weird how people meet like that." Kayden piped in, trying to steer the conversation in a more nonchalant manner. He wanted to say more, but honestly he didn't want to betray the fact that he didn't remember when any of them had met him before, so he didn't pursue the subject.
When the group enters the Gates of Varone (2189 A.D. Colorized)

The following day, clouds lingered overhead. Early that morn they spat out rain, but as the men assembled they fled to the distance of the horizon like watchful gods. Grand amounts of supplies were escorted out with the help of the populace at large, just as much to get rid of them as help out their 'saviors' Brasidas guessed. Luckily for them, the majority of the food and equipment was already on the backs of the protostates. For the Atvarian army, that was unheard of. Most militaries, particularly large ones, had extensive baggage trains, giving the troops large amounts of food, water, and even entertainment in exchange for having a costly stream of cargo to protect. Larger Atvari armies were veritable moving cities. While the Imperial military had re-adopted the extensive baggage train in some small capacity over the last century, many still held the tradition that there should be five men for every donkey carrying supplies. It made for a lighter, faster, and more efficient force. The only real downside was the grumbling of the men.

They left in full battle march as opposed to the travel lines they would normally traverse the land with, the troops stepping in drilled formation with practiced speed. Perhaps it slowed them down a hair, but it paid to keep themselves organized as if they were walking into an engagement. Brasidas thought so anyway, and he made sure he and Tychon kept their noses out of Miravet business. He had the feeling they would agree with him, however. It was going to be an annoying week, but as long as they continued moving forward and guarded their flanks, it would be a relatively safe one.

Brasidas rode at the head of his Cataphracts, Menelaus cantering proudly at the head. By midday they were already miles away, the town of Arbela a monument in the background, now only visible from its high elevation, dominating the countryside they were now vacating. As Brasidas glanced back, Syf galloped his swift steed up to him, a smile on his face as always.

"What is it, Syf?" Brasidas asked, deinging to not even address the nomad properly. Tychon was checking with Archonan and the other Protos Lochias' moving up and down the contingent like a lumbering golem. Any of the new recruits, and some of the men who hadn't seen him in weeks, would still look at the size of the man with awe. Some of the others would snicker at their slack jawed stares, as a few Boreas men had seen true giants before. If Tychon was impressive, they would shit their trousers if they saw a full blooded titan.

"Atvari approaching Arbela. Five miles away from the town. Looks like their Kahreed scouts watched us like Aubelon Three-eye," He said, referring to one of the local gods. Mystery cults popped up around the greater region every few years, but Brasidas was no expert.

"Good," He replied, meaning it was good he was told. If they were five miles away from Arbela, it would take them an hour or two to muster the courage to find out if the army had left, and another hour or so to gather their strength and pursue, if they even wanted to chase them today. Perhaps they wouldn't have, but with the Satrap's daughter, it seemed a foregone conclusion now. Still, they could be twenty miles into the desert by the time the Kahreeds rode out in pursuit. "You do remember where we need to find the next watering hole, yes?"

"I know of three, though no promises all of them are not dried up." Syf said with a shrug. "I hope they are filled with water. The miravets would start to swim again."

"I look forward to meeting your future miravet wife, Syf," Brasidas said. "I would enjoy seeing just how she would put you in her place."

Ok, I am not saying it is resolved, but once you are out of the gates and in the city proper, would you rather
1) explore
2) find a place to talk and enjoy some comforts
3) get straight to work

Obviously you all have different goals (that you need to figure out how to pursue!), but this is just for the general group consensus.

The alarms blared.

5 minutes until dispatch.

Raddek's hands were still full of food, and so he stuffed what he could in his pack again and zipped it up, making sure it was sealed air-tight. The changes in gravity and air pressure could have unforeseen consequences on any perishables when exposed, and he didn't want to find out what it could be regardless. Hefting the sack, he gave Vashti a nod and made his way over to the next corridor, where there was a huge windowed hatch that slowly opened even as he approached, pressurized air seeping out and leaving a telltale hiss.

Triple checking his own suit, he reached into the equipment window just beside the door and began to latch on his parachute and magnetic beacon.. Unlike the bulky versions of centuries past, this orbital parachute used nanolaminate fiber, a very thin but immensely strong weave of materials that could catch anything from air winds to solar winds if faced properly. At its center was the magnetic beacon, which 'guided' the user via a magnetic pull to whatever frequency it was aligned to on the ground, which gave very little margin of error when dropping. If their intel was right, the 'hook' to the beacon was at the rendezvous point ten miles below them. It would be a bumpy flight down, with winds likely flying in excess of a hundred MPH at the calmest of times before they hit the one mile mark. Were it not for the beacon, they could end up on separate continents.

"Alright guys and gals, strap yourself in and ready up. The launch door will open in four minutes flat." The pilot relayed to them. Raddek pressed an 'acknowledgement' button installed on his helm, stepping into the launch bay. He kept one foot on the outside to keep it open for Vashti to get strapped and then enter, before it would close permanently and they would be launched out at the appointed time.

"All good?" He asked her.
I was working on my post last night, and then my internet ate poop. Then I woke up this morning to find that someone rammed some interviews in on my calendar. So, I'm dealing with that. I hope to get a post out ASAP. Sorry, I thought I'd have more free time, but the weather has been killing my internet and I'm trying to get a better job that's less soul-sucking. If there is such a thing.

Hey, as long as you let me know things, I'm always flexible. Just do what you can and don't worry! Migi is safe in the group.
If Psycho doesn't get a lot of hits, you guys don't have good taste.
