Current Nihilism is freedom. To be without purpose is to be free of the oppression of destiny. To be without cause is to be free to make your own. Woe to he who has an outside reason to be. For he is a slave.

Let's not go too far off the deep end. They do have to fit inside the box. And in spite of just how big this thing is, and it's big, it can actually be kind of cramped in here.

I can agree to that compromise.

But life is empty. Always has been and always will be. It's just a way to pass the time until you die and vanish forever into blissful oblivion. So like don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today.

Of course not. But you can't consistently get it out of human writers either. That's why you read all the millions of manuscripts sent to you by would be Tolstoys and Tolkiens and pick the good stuff.

Bio

Long ago in the distant past there was only color. Color to be loved, to be hated, color to please thoughts and corrupt minds. Color to color but newer shape. And than one day everything changed. We do not speak of this event nor of the times thereafter. For they were dark times when color took shape and shape rejected color. To this day the two remain separate, ever touching but newer becoming one. With one exception.

What you see before you is the purple cube of the cosmos. The merger of shape and color and ultimate avatar of the color purple in its physical form. Its N-dimensional form exists beyond your comprehension leaving but a shadow in the form of a cube for you to perceive. A cube with right angles and yet no sharp edges.

It's guardian, a being of it and yet distinct from it and one with it all at the same time dwells within. Or perhaps they dwell together, or just dwell. The later is most certainly true these days a the cube orbits earth having after an eternity in space discovered the internet and its endless supply of cat videos. Now the two orbit hungrily in search of satellites to consume so as to feed its insatiable hunger for cute.

Ohhh right right right

Yeah. You won't be able to take down the big bosses single handedly, unless you become a very powerful individual with building knocking powers or something. Which probably won't happen.
But for beginner days you'll just see cannon fodders.

Yeah, your idea seems neat.

Basically the reason why I am asking is because fundamentally in a world with guns, and presumably automatic guns and lots of killer robots wielding them the reason why I took super speed isn't so much because I want to play the flash but because I figured it was one of the few ways I could actually get into melee range at all. The others being less cool. And this way also allows me theoretically to play support and help the others get into range. Well that and again, cool. But cool goes without saying.
I'll just repost it.

Mmm, acceptable. But do keep in mind that you won't be fighting dumb cannon fodders forever.

It's not so much cannon fodder as it is anything that does not have superhuman reaction time, aiming ability and rapid turning. Like basically my idea is that her skills should work vs anything that isn't a heavily superior to a modern human soldier. But that's about it, yes.

Either way though I imagine we will run into such threats later on. But at that point won't those also invalidate a lot of our team anyway? Starting with the melee girls. I mean, regardless of my power level what ever it wall you put up that makes it so that I can't get into close combat is most definitively going to stop them, won't it? So at that point I guess the only solution is going to be teamwork.

That's why I want the main power of the character to be in her ability to build and deploy interesting explosive effects. So like maybe she'll drop a smoke bomb or a flash grenade or something to confused and disrupt the smart ones or something. Or maybe you'll let me go all ham and build say a freezing bomb or stun bomb or something to make that approach possible. Or maybe I can get our sniper to take down the smart ones or something while I run from cover to cover trying to get their attention for the rest of the melee girls to sneak up and jump them.

I mean lets be real we basically only have one character that can do the smart thing and sit in cover shooting from a distance. xD Everyone else needs to get in reasonably close.

Or pick up a grenade launcher down the line if all else fails. A knee mortar would do wonders, so much so that I deliberately don't want to take one early on as it'd be OP.
Bob Stuart, the Circuit Scourge

Beats the name I still haven't figured out. Also, what's the verdict on my important question from last time?
Technically, I have to write down info for some of the NPC's.

I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Nah, just like this one robot that really really hates just US and keeps trying to murder us. Runs away when it's beat up, comes back with upgrades.

So evil robotic team rocket?
Also if @Chev has the rona and survives he still has to get the vaccine later on. Just surviving it does not confer long term immunity. I checked with my resident WHO expert.
Because the Star Wars franchise is now a Dumpster fire....Minus Rogue One I liked that movie.

Not sure how we went from magical girls running around tossing bombs out of a bag like a villainous confetti dispenser to star wars but I concur. I literally watched only the first of the new movies and swore the franchise off.

And it's not because of any sentimental reason either. Like I ain't one of those "oh they ruined my childhood" guys. No, I just thought that it was a genuinely bad movie. Like I have nothing against changing Star Wars if they did a good job at it. But the new one just felt like a bad remake. Like when they take one of the classic cartoons and make a live action version only now it sucks. And I took that as a sign of the direction they were going in.
I'm going to celebrate the New Year by not curling in the fetal position and saying "Why J.J Abrams" *Sob* "WHY!!!"

I am not sure I understand the reference. Than again I am not a huge fan of the guy so maybe I missed some news.

EDIT: For some reason I posted the wrong quote. WTH?
What's a video game circle strafe speed

Circle strafing is a technique in video games, in particular shooter games where when facing an enemy that fires projectiles the player tries to run around in a circle faster than the enemy can turn to face him always staying ahead of his tracking. Preferably this is done via strafing sideways so as to also allow you to shoot back. It relies on the player character having a higher strafe speed than the enemies rotation speed.

In that case the speed to beat is basically how fast the enemy can turn to track me and take aim. Both of which take time as it's not just the act of turning but also taking aim and thinking about the lead the shooter has to make which takes time to mentally process. The actual speed of the projectiles is irrelevant because if he does manage to beat me and get a decently aimed shot off I am hit.

This being said in my case the technique used would be more akin to zigzaging to confuse enemy fire which is actually a somewhat viable technique even for regular humans (assuming we aren't dealing with full auto fire) as it relies not even on beating the time needed to take aim but on the idea that you will change direction and speed back up quickly enough to throw off the enemy as he tries to figure out how to lead you properly. So his shots always land just where you would have stood a second later had you not changed direction.

Either way it's not dodging bullets so much as confusing/dodging the shooter. If that makes sense. So like we are probably talking something in the range of what you might consider peak human performance more than anything.
