"Glad I could be of service. As far as keeping contact with me, well, that might be hard, but if I am not with my sister or training, I am usually at my cabin since I write a lot. You can find it if you keep going straight across the activity field. There's a row of four cabins and mine is at the end of the right-hand side. I'll probably see you tonight and if you have any more questions, you can ask me. Have a nice day though." Heath nodded before departing from her side.

By all appearances Sofia was a decent person. He just hoped Mason didn't give her the cold shoulder, but he wouldn't be surprised if Mason did that. It wasn't his problem though. For now, he supposed he would see what Iliana was up to. He wished she still had that location stone, but she still refused to keep it unless things were dire. At least she still wore that pendant she got from Demeter. Heath knew Iliana still worried about hurting others but wanted to try and get over that weakness by herself.

As he walked he was quick to notice how things started to quiet down and others started to go off on their own. Heath still wondered who the new leader would be. Unlike others, it didn't bother him that much about the gods finally interacting with them again. He hoped Andy would be okay with the decision to have a new leader. She had done an excellent job since Nicholas's death. Heath didn't know if he could ever take up a leadership role since he never been in a scenario like that, but he would support the new leader get used to the camp since he wasn't sure if the person was coming in blind or was informed of recent happenings. Heath would be ready no matter what happened though.

When Lochlan asked more about the fight, Iliana pondered.

"Well I don't know if I fully took it out for it just vanished on me after being held down. I am just glad Sloane was able to save us all after all that happened. I never knew Pandora's Box was a real thing."

Iliana did wonder what Lochlan faced, but didn't see it as important at this point. Why was he so curious about her battle? Soon he started talking about his sister and asked for Iliana's help. She couldn't help but be perplexed by his question for the context of what he was saying went totally over her head. Her face reflected her confusion.

"Um, sure, I can try to help, but . . what does she need to get over?"

Still if Lochlan was worried about his sister, Iliana would help if she could. Before long he asked if she was friends with a lot of gods. What brought this on? Lochlan was nice by all appearances, but he sure liked asking a lot of questions. Maybe he was just trying to get to know here. Before Iliana could answer his question, he said he was sorry for what she went through. That brought a small smile to her face.

"Thank you. I don't know a lot of gods other than my mother, Demeter, Apollo, and maybe Athena. I only know her because of my adopted brother Heath since that's his mother. I've met Hestia briefly as well as Aphrodite and Hermes. Of course, I've seen the other gods awhile back when there was a trial of a former camper. It took place on Olympus. But I wouldn't say I am friends with any of them except my mom."

After walking a bit more, Lochlan gave his farewells. His final words had Iliana giggling. Iliana only had one protecter, who was Heath, so she didn't know where he got the idea she had more than one protector.

"It was nice talking with you Lochlan, you can talk to me anytime if you want."

She waved back to him and it was then she finally looked around to see where she was. She had be so busy focusing on him that she didn't realize how close to the arena she was, well, the backside of it. She looked and saw the cabin Lochlan went in and made sure to remember where it was. Walking towards the arena, she walked to the left of it and eventually saw the stables. Recognizing where she was, she decided to head back to her cabin. As she walked though, she soon saw Heath.

Heath was still walking when he finally saw his sister. She was near the direction of the stables. Waving towards her, he walked through the snow to get to her.

"Hey, I saw you had a busy morning."

"Yes I did. Did you meet any of the new campers."

"Just one. She had some questions. She was pretty honest and sincere, so I don't think we'll have to worry about her. Her name is Sofia and she's Hades's daughter. She seemed to be worried if being his daughter was going to cause her issues."

"Well I met a daughter of Poseidon. She's definitely nicer than Liv. Her name is Ocean. And I met one of Apollo's children. I think they're non-binary for I couldn't tell if they were male or female. They're name is Marlen. Interesting person for sure. I hope to work with them in the future since I am working on healing stuff."

Iliana thought of bringing up Lochlan but decided not to since Heath was the protective brother type. She remembered how he looked when Mason danced with her once.

"So, Lia, you going to the party tonight?"

"Yes, I want to meet the other new campers and check to see if others have completely healed. We're you going to go?"

"Yes since you're going. Got to make sure no one takes advantage of you." Heath said jokingly, but secretly being serious.

"Why would anyone take advantage of me?"

"Because it's tradition for people to kiss at New Year's. You remember the New Year parties at my aunts' houses."

This caused Iliana to turn red.

"I doubt that'll happen since no guy here is interested in me in that way. Well, I am going back to my cabin for now. I'll see you later."

With that Iliana headed to her cabin and Heath followed suit.

Nelly sighed in satisfaction after finishing her meal. Looking around she couldn't figure out what to do next. She thought about Elysium and wondered if she should let Veronica, Heath, and Iliana know that she told him about them. In the end, she decided to not do that. They were bound to meet him at the party tonight if they showed up. Getting up, she cleaned up her area and took care of her dirty dishes before exiting the main hall. What should she do now? The answer came almost instantly. She could take pictures. It was always her go-to activity so she didn't get bored. Heading back to her cabin, she grabbed her camera and the bag it was stored in. If the snow picked up again, she would put it inside. She had learned the hard way of not taking proper care of her equipment when the weather turned sour. Nelly might be careless in certain ways, but her belongings were not one of them.

Walking around she decided to go to the left this time and go around the arena. On her way she spotted Duke with a new guy near the armory. She didn't bother them but she got a good look at the new guy and he was definitely buff. Looked like Duke was showing him the armory. She barely interacted with the Son of Hephaestus, but she knew Fiona was friends with him. She would try to get to know him better. As she walked on, she took pictures of the arena and cabins, making sure to not get pictures of others. After taking a picture, she turned and saw Sylas heading for his cabin. She would have waved to him, but he never noticed her and she knew he wasn't a fan of her. It couldn't be help and Nelly wasn't bound to change herself for no one. Still she was glad to see he was fully healed.

Deciding to take a break from photography, Nelly put her camera away and just walked when she saw two more campers. It was Lochlan and Iliana. And did Lochlan have his arm around Iliana's shoulders? Curious, Nelly made sure to stay out of sight but got close enough to eavesdrop on them. She could only pick up bits and pieces of their conversation though. She did her best to not giggle at the site. Good thing she had plenty of practice of wildlife photography for she had to be still and quiet those times too. Soon they separated once close enough to Lochlan's cabin. Deciding to let both be, Nelly decided to go to the lake. Maybe by then she would have worked up an appetite for lunch. Decision made, Nelly did just that but in the back of her mind, she was looking forward to that party.

As Sofia made commentary on the Camp Security, Heath thought about when Demeter, Hestia, and Demeter visited his house to get them to go to this camp. He never disobey an order from his mother, but he was hesitant about Iliana going and brought it up. Athena didn't sugarcoat it. She mentioned things had happened the previous year, but didn't specify, but also said Iliana HAD to come out of her shell. Demeter second that and added that Iliana had confided she now feared humans and Demeter thought it be best if she was around other demigods. Of course Ethan added his support and Hestia tried to be comforting too. That seemed like ages ago even though it had been several months. Iliana had found new purpose by helping the camp where she could. As much as Heath didn't want to admit it, being here had helped Iliana more than he or his family could do. Now Heath was wondering what his purpose for being here now.

"Well, that's why we created more security measures here, to make us safer. We're supposed to be getting another leader now to help us train better too. I definitely need to work better."

He would make sure of that. Heath was glad he could alleviate some of Sofia's concerns about being a Hades kid. He had heard of the phrase "sins of the father". He never understood it. Thinking about his own position being Athena's son, he did put pressure on himself to live up to any expectations. Athena was one of the most respected gods in Greek Mythology and while humanity wasn't aware they were real, he still felt he had to live up to her legendary name. Suddenly Sofia made a request.

"Though about the Hades kid you mentioned, Mason. Do you know where he is? Just since I kinda want to meet him, my half-brother, but not now. We are still talking here, but for the future. Where can I find him?"

Heath thought about this, last time he saw Mason was this morning in the Main Hall and he was probably still in there. Heath had been aware of the comings and goings of others, including Iliana leaving with another new camper. He was beginning to wonder where she was now. While Heath didn't know Mason too well, he knew enough about him to know he's not a social person.

"He might still be in the Main Hall, but I am going to have to warn you Miss Sofia. I did say Mason is very respectable, but he's pretty private for the most part. He has friends I know of. I am still not too familiar with him, so I don't want to get your hopes up. I don't even know if he's coming to tonight's New Year's Party. Parties aren't my thing either, but I'll be going if my sister is going so I can keep an eye on her."

He wondered how Mason would feel about having another sibling. He knew about Jennova, but she had died a year before when he wasn't here. From what he learned in Alex's trial though, she had not been great person. Sofia clearly meant what she said about trying not to cause trouble. That was the truth for sure and it was nice to hear.

"Was there anything else you need assistance with?"

Iliana was able to pick up on Lochlan's feelings when he winked at her. Was he . . nervous? Why was that? Seemed like the subject of her muteness made him uneasy for some reason. It was definitely something to think about. Normally she would mention that to Heath, but she really wanted to try to figure out things on her own without his assistance, at least if the situation wasn't a big deal in her eyes. When he brought up his leg, her eyes drifted down to see him move it. She would keep an eye on him to see if he was walking properly. When her own leg got fixed, even after she didn't need crutches anymore, she still had to be careful and still used a crane. It was only a week ago that she didn't need one anymore.

"What about you? What’d you face?"

That got her attention. Thinking about that night and what she faced, she couldn't help but shudder, but manage to talk about it.

"Well, after a tornado separated me from Heath and Ethan, I ended up facing a giant. He was huge. I had to rely on my powers to knock him out. It was a close call, I am lucky he only broke my leg. I was bruised up as a result too. I was lucky that was the only thing I faced but I did see the fight with the dragon. I would have helped but I was too far away."

Lochlan's words about voice in her head confused her, but she didn't dwell on that. Soon he was asking if she was going to the party.

"Yes, I will be going. Trying to socialize more. I'll never be like your sister, but I don't want to be a wallflower, especially now that I can talk again. Having my voice back means the world to me, I want to try to become someone to be proud of, rather than something else."

She almost called herself a monster again but caught herself in time. However, all thought went out of her head when Lochlan put his arm around her shoulder. She couldn't help but initially stiffen but forced herself to breath. He had done nothing wrong, but Iliana wasn't expecting the gesture. His next words sent a chill up her spine though.

"So why were you mute? Did you take an oath or something?"

Any color on Iliana's face was gone and she lowered her eyes to the ground. It was an innocent question, but it brought back memories of her captivity. Instantly the winter wind picked up, but then her medallion activated, and she was stable again.

"Sorry, I still have issues controlling the weather. I won't say much but my vocals got destroyed last year and it was only thanks to Apollo that I got them back. But even then, I wasn't able to talk due to what happened to me. It did a number on my emotional, physical, and mental health."

He still might find out exactly what happened if he were ask others who'd seen her trial and honestly if he did, it wouldn't bother her too much since she was tired of hiding, but she just didn't want to recall it. It was bad enough she was still suffering from nightmares of her kidnapping and her father's death. She didn't know if she would ever fully recover from both incidents. But she didn't want to think about it right now. She wanted to enjoy the moment.

Iliana wondered if Marlen was going to be okay. They certainly were a quiet person it seems, much like her. Looking around, she wondered what she could do now. Iliana wasn't sure she was up to meeting more people yet. Maybe she could just walk around for a bit before going back to her cabin before lunch. She thought of the people she met already. Ocean she definitely wanted to get to know more. Marlen seemed nice enough, but if Iliana was honest with herself, she was initially excited to meet them due to their parent being Apollo. Iliana wasn't going to force herself to be friends if she couldn't connect past that point. Time would tell.

Iliana was jarred out of her thoughts when someone took her by the arms. Gasping, she quickly relaxed when she saw it was Lochlan. He seemed to be genuinely happy to see her, and Iliana couldn't help but smile back. She then recalled how he addressed her and couldn't help but blush a little, which was very evident considering how pale she was. She wasn't used to compliments. Fascinating definitely wasn't a word she would associate with herself.

Asking how she was and what she'd been up to, Iliana saw no reason to withhold anything from him.

"It's good to see you Lochlan. Well, I've been busy. I've been focusing making more healing supplies since the last battle. I'll never be able to do the things Apollo can do, but I didn't like seeing others hurt so much either. Speaking of which, have you fully recovered from the fight? I was worried about you. Also I know this is old news, but I am sorry for being so rude to you when we first met. I had been mute for a long time, and for some reason, when you asked for my name, I was able to talk for the first time."

Iliana didn't see much of Lochlan the past few months. She would have checked up on him herself, but she didn't know where his cabin was. It was another reason why she wanted to know where everyone's cabins were. If something happened, she wanted to make sure that person was okay. Looking him over, he did appear to be fine now, much to Iliana's relief. She definitely remembered his duel, or lack of one considering Liam had knocked him out flat before the duel could even begin. So she wondered what kind of skills he possessed since she didn't see him at all during that battle. She had been relieved to see he was one of the survivors. Then again, she was happy to see anyone survive that encounter. One thing she would focus on was working on her wind powers more. Her agrokinesis ended up saving her life that night, so she wanted to focus on her aerokinesis more.

"Did you hear Andy's announcements today? There are new campers and there's a New Year's Party tonight."

"First is, what do people do here anyway? I saw a bunch of places and there does not seem much else to do outside of that."

Heath had no trouble answering that, but he did wonder what other reasons for safety and training as to why they were here.

"Well, from what I was told by my mother, who is Athena, we're here to train mostly. Other things have happened here, but that's the biggest reason. I was also told this place is supposed to be a sanctuary from outside threats. However, I would recommend to still be alert for that hasn't always been the case here." he said, revealing his divine parent.

What he didn't add was there was internal conflict. Sure things have been quiet for a bit, but now that everyone had recovered, that might change. And with new campers in the mix, something was bound to happen. He waited for more questions and got another.

"Second question, has anything happened to camp that I should know of? Just because of the fingerprint scanner at the front gate, is that a reason this place needs security?"

Heath sighed and without going into detail, told Sofia what happened.

"Like I said, this place was supposed to be a safe place, but a couple of battles here have happened. I've only experienced one that was a few months ago. Ever heard of Pandora's box? Well, it's real, but instead of plagues, we got attacked by beasts and monsters of all kind. One of us managed to close the box, which made everything vanish, but a lot of us got hurt or worse. A few ended up leaving after that. There was a lot of destruction and we only finished rebuilding the other day. The gate and fingerprinting were new editions as a result of this latest battle."

He hoped what he said didn't scare Sofia too much. But she did ask, so he wouldn't lie to her. Her demeanor seemed to change for her last question. Sofia was acting all nervous as she started to talk, but then she paused. Heath patiently waited and finally got the last question.

"How are Hades's kids treated here if there are any here?"

It didn't take that long for Heath to connect the dots. Sofia was Hades's daughter. Why else would she ask that kind of question? Heath made an effort to be kind since it seemed Sofia feared being judged like that.

"I can't speak for everyone, but I doubt anyone here is judged by who their parents are. I myself never have. I judge by someone's acts. Mason, who is Hades's son, is respected here because of his actions."

Heath tried to avoid gossiping, so he kept it brief. Hopefully though what he said would alleviate some of Sofia's concerns.

"I hope this helps. Welcome to Camp Athens, daughter of Hades. I think you'll do fine here, just try to keep the peace okay?" he said with a smile, making his demeanor more approachable.

Elysium looked a little taken aback by all of the information she gave him. Nelly knew she was a loquacious person and wasn't going to apologize for that, but she would try to tone it down in the future when it came to this guy. Still he managed. As social as Nelly was, she didn't get the kind of regular interactions the average person did due to her upbringing. Sure she was an experienced travel and could adapt to different cultures, but when it came to regular conversations, she always had issues. A part of it wondered if it was because she was half God. One of the things she wondered was would she live longer than the average human. Her father always looked young, but she wasn't bound to guess what his real age was.

When Elysium mentioned the things he couldn't do, Nelly merely nodded.

"Hey it's fine. I may have some of my father's abilities, but there's no way I am at his level. The last time I saw him, he actually raced me because I wanted to test myself. I thought I was fine at 100 mph, but my dad instantly went faster than that. Plus my endurance is not great. I need to work on that while I am here. Haven't had time to do that yet."

Seeing him approve of his cabin and mentioning he was going to be a bit busy until tonight's party. Nelly nodded. She had no plans of sticking around. Still she was glad she could help and meet Elysium.

"Well, enjoy your new home then, Elysium! I'll see you tonight!"

She put on her boots again. Turning to Elysium, she gives him a peace sign before suddenly vanishing in front of him as she teleported right outside of his cabin. She wished she saw his expression for that. She figured to remind him that he wasn't in the world of mortals anymore. As she started walking through the snow again, she wondered if Fiona was up yet. The two had gotten closer since the Pandora's Box incident. It felt weird to have a friend here. It was something Nelly wasn't expecting when she came here, but certainly not unwelcomed. Deciding to see if she was up, Nelly raced a bit but stopped when she realized she still needed an actual breakfast. The food Elysium gave her was good, but since she had been using her powers, her metabolism kicked in and she really needed good food in her. Groaning, she headed for the Main Hall. There were still people here. Getting plenty to eat, she looked around and just sat by herself.
