Episode 1: Light in Darkness

May 35, 2250, Red Rock Mining Facility, New Earth

For ten long years the humans of New Earth have been under the iron grip of Galatec, the intergalactic mega corporation. They have been forced to toil in mines, work in factories, and some precious few privileged have been recruited into the office work for long hours with no benefits and far too little pay. Bodies and minds are broken from overwork, and the worst crime of all is that most people don't even realize it. Galatec is a mind bogglingly vast and complicated machine, with more methods than even the Board of Directors know about. Many of those methods have been utilized here on New Earth, brainwashing the population into acceptance and obedience. Food and water have chemical additives, the lights themselves shine with a wavelength that dulls independence and resistance, and propaganda permeates the media, the streets, and your homes. A very small percentage of people are, for reasons unknown, immune to this brainwashing, and have taken the fight to Galatec. However they are completely overwhelmed, for not only does their enemy possess far greater numbers and firepower, they have to fight against the citizens they attempt to liberate, who brand them terrorists. Their efforts are, sadly, doomed to failure. In an act of desperation, the largest force of resistance fighters, the Alpha Division, have chosen to throw all their men into one last attack on the Red Rock Mining Facility, the largest concentration of human slave labor on New Earth. However, the Regional Manager of New Earth Space, Ruthalia Tro’liant Hert’yas Morphento, has picked up their communications. She knows they plan to hit with everything they've got. Truly, their efforts are doomed to failure, but not all is lost. Deep within the intricate mines of Red Rock is a man, a wise alien creature, who casts off with the tyrannical ways of Galatec, and his assistant. Together they conspire to bring new hope to the world, a new team of fighters using technology stolen from Galatec itself. Legends and historical tapes tell of many teams that have battled with evil before, defending humanity and many peaceful alien worlds. Legends of the mighty Power Rangers. It is today, on May 35, 2250, that a new team shall rise to battle evil, but they will have an uphill fight. Their victories shall be met with just as many loses, but if they cannot persevere, then New Earth is doomed. Today is the uprising! Today we fight back! Today is the birth of...

Welp, it's my lunch period now. Stay tuned for the very first post for this game, everyone. And remember....

Forgive my (slightly obnoxious) curiosity, but one thing I've never been able to grasp, is why a lot of people use colour for the dialogue in their posts? It doesn't serve much of a purpose so... If anyone could explain to me the idea behind it? It's only a matter of curiosity, btw, not a critique!

To give visual appeal, help dialogue stand out more, and it can help to give a stronger sense of personality for the character.
Man, I keep looking back at this game because I really want to join it and it really appeals to me. I'm a big fan of all three franchises. The problem is making sure I'm not spread too thin and I feel like I already have too many other responsibilities. :/ So many ideas for characters too. Chances are I'll end up breaking down and joining this game regardless, so that's something to keep an eye out for, haha. I just wanted to say, normally cross overs aren't really my thing, but this one looks like it'll do really well for itself, plus the three franchises go quite well together in general, so huzzah.
Alright everyone, here's the deal. If I don't have a mentor by my lunch period tomorrow, I'm revving the engines and starting this bish up anyway, and I'll use a generic guy as the mentor GM style, until someone officially takes the role. Alright? Alright. Let's hop to it, folks. I'm tired of waiting.
Phaerun Markuv slowly strolled through the streets, his hood and cloak keeping his features cast in shadow, while the insignia of the Orzhov stood out like a bright light. He looked upon these people with pity in his eyes, and he hoped to be that bright light. Times were certainly difficult for this kingdom, on this plane, but by the time he was done they would be in a better position. People tended to have a strange turn of fortune whenever The Wandering Spirit came to town.

This time Phaerun was making a difference on a larger scale than he was used to. Regicide, political assassinations, machinations, these things were not unfamiliar to the Orzhov, but he had done his best to distance himself from such troubles since initially leaving Ravnica. That is, until he came here, to Varen. To Frasc. To Orisfal. Something about this dark, dreary place reminded him of home. Disgraced as he was, he was still Orzhov, and as such getting involved in Machiavellian political schemes was simply in his blood.

Not too long ago he had met with the local reagent, a man named Gav. Phaerun wasn't certain yet that he trusted the man, but he acted in the interest of the young princess, for the people of his kingdom, and so for now Phaerun chose to ally with the man. No doubt due to his unique abilities he was chosen to go on a mission that would, presumably, bring to justice those responsible for the king's death. A noble cause, to be sure. He arrived at the tavern late at night, when there were not many others around. Glancing around, Phaerun could see a goblin among the patrons, a large heavily scarred man, and a well-built woman with unusual eyes reminding him of storm clouds.

Phaerun approached the barkeep and, with a small amount of pain in his semi-rotten body, sat upon a stool as he addressed the man. "Please provide me with a black mead." Phaerun glanced out the window before speaking his pass phrase, a most unusual statement. "In a few hours the sun will rise."
@Stekkmen Approved. I'll be honest, the CS itself was not very impressive, but your RP sample won me over. Congrats, get him moved over to the CS tab, boy!

@mattmanganon Looking for an ETA on that mentor. You just about done?
Holy crap, that was unexpected. I don't have a speech ready or anything... umm....

"This is a great honor. I'd like to thank my Mama and Elvis. Thank you."

-The Brain

With a speech like that, I'd vote for you.
Jaime Bishop

Jaime ran and ran and ran, then he ran some more. That vehicle was his only salvation and... Oh my god, the woman popping her head out was the most gorgeous thing Jaime had ever seen on the face of this earth! That skin, that hair, that can do badass attitude he could see in her eyes! Damn that was so caliente! The woman fired a bullet passed Jaime, which whizzed uncomfortably close to Dick before braining a walker. She nearly shot Dick, and he could feel himself falling in love on the spot.

And then she died. Wait, what? NO! Jaime's guardian angel had come from the heavens to protect and rescue him! She can't just be... Just be gone! Just like that?! The horrific sight affected his pace. He slowed down just enough that Dick ran right passed him and into the vehicle. Jaime's mind was swimming with terror and fear. He just couldn't understand. His hot latina goddess gone before he even knew her... Jaime forced his mind back into the present, the now. Survival. Survival above all else.

He rushed toward the vehicle, picking up the pace once he had seen that Dick pulled out his gun, and what's more that the driver was black. Oh shit. Jaime had been around Dick long enough to know that that probably wasn't going to go well, so he kicked into full on sprint and dove into the open vehicle, as much for the driver's protection as his own. He spared a single glance back at Dexter making his own way.

"You've got this, amigo! Vomonos!"
@Wade WilsonNo thank you, cause along with trail of light, I plan to go Matrix reloaded on someone and back-flip off my motorcycle to launch it into a crowd of monsters....like a bad-ass

@ProProIf we have beam of light teleportation and our Mentor is an inside man with knowledge of the facilities' locations, why don't we just teleport bombs into those areas and destroy the mind control network that way?

Unless those areas have a jamming field but then you'd have to ask the question why teleportation works anywhere in the world if they have access to that technology..

But then again, the enemy has to teleport too so they wouldn't jam teleportation for everywhere...unless they had a way to recognize teleportation frequencies as their own...but than that raises another question...
