Akoni silently observed the two demons negotiating with one another. It would have been in his best interest to stop this alliance from forming, but he doubted that they could take on a general of Mundus as well as a Madamma and come out of it unscathed. Had the demoness known as Blair spoken of recruiting Enepsigos for the benefit of Mundus himself, then the old mage would have no recourse but to attack. As it were, Blair had an agenda of her own, serving Mundus out of convenience. So it was to Blair herself that Enepsigos agreed to ally with. Inwardly, Akoni smirked. Yes it would have been better to have them both outright slain, but under the circumstances and the associated risks, he'd settle for an unpredictable element that would cause Mundus headaches of his own. Besides that, the Madammas of Sheba's Inferno certainly were not saints, but Sheba respected the balance. As far as infernal spawn of evil went they could do much worse.

"It was something of a pleasure meeting with you, Madamma Enepsigos," he complimented, only half-sincere. "I am relieved that you are more or less innocent of the crimes here, but understand that the Charred Council seeks a restoration of the balance. Thus, a word of caution. Do not strike out against their interests. Enjoy yourself." He then turned to address Blair. "That goes to you as well."

With his final thoughts out in the open, the two demonesses took their leave. The cathedral was now demon free, but there still existed the matter of that mist, and what it did to everyone here. Akoni drew out the grimoire he had collected in the crypt from his mini pocket dimension and opened it up for study. He had only figured out half of the story, and that was not acceptable. Perhaps the mist would dissipate on its own, perhaps it would not. It had been too late to save the residents but if he could spare any unlucky wanderers the same fate then he would do so. Then Fiameta spoke up.

"Your assistance will be appreciated, though I cannot hope to gauge the level of hospitality that will be shown by the Charred Council if you return with Silas and myself. That said, the Demon Hunters Organization is always eager for fresh meat and your skills surpass the great majority of those little crickets. Where you will go... Is your own decision." He then turned a page, continuing his studies. Once he had a general understanding, Akoni realized that it would be time to return to the Charred Citadel. He had spent enough time on DHO business.

Drawing a square in the air with his left index finger, a piece of paper materialized, already with words written upon it. The message was addressed to Lady of the DHO, and explained the general happenings that had occurred at the cathedral. With a wave of his hand, the paper folded up into an airplane and began to fly for its destination, seeking out Lady.

"I believe it is time to take our leave of this corrupted place." The old man wasted no more words and stood up to his full height. He then left without ceremony, heading back to the Charred Citadel.
I enjoy Sofia's nonsequitors. Her thought processes are quite random.

It took a few solid moments, but eventually Decoy responded to Ira. His voice sounded a bit rushed, like he was busy with something else. "I do not expect you to fix Collin's situation, no. However I would encourage you to try if possible. I do not have the authority to grant you access to his old files, but Inkscape does. I will ask him to provide you access. Together, maybe our collaboration can provide a solution."
With a couple hours of time skip buffer time, yeah. That'd be the next order of business.
"Hikikomori," Akoni helpfully informed Madamma Enepsigos. It was something of a reflex, and could possibly be taken as disrespectful by the wrong person, but he had a feeling she would be more grateful than not. Still, things didn't sit right with him. Those creatures out in the cemetery, and the ones within the crypt, especially the necromantic eye beast, they were all slain far too easily. Too easily for the servants of a Madamma, at any rate. These were demons that held the very highest status and power within Sheba's Inferno. Anything Enepsigos, the two headed woman, could create would undoubtedly prove more challenging than mindless skeletal hordes or a few easily dispatched minions. Even if they had been forged from the souls of fragile humans it made little sense. Akoni's mind raced, going over every detail he had known so far. The strange mist outside, a cult worshiping this fallen angel of a demon, the cathedral, monsters made from men, spacial distortions Akoni could not detect, the words of Enepsigos herself... Wait. Something clicked in that moment. Hikikomori. Japanese generally meaning a shut in. Literal definition "pulling inward, confined." Then the old man's eyes widened for just a moment, just a brief second that would allow anybody especially perceptive to notice he had had a terrible epiphany.

"If we object and desire justice, then we would need to throw ourselves upon our blades, Fiametta." Akoni's body language shifted drastically. He was already taking the situation seriously, but now it had become a matter of the grave. "You don't wish to become 'one of those' you say, Madamma Enepsigos. Curious choice of words. Tell me please, are you responsible for the mist that surrounds this cathedral?"
@canaryrose Glad to have someone interested. If you change your mind, we're still open for more and likely always will be. :)
With as much of a smirk as his semi-viscous face could muster, Villiam approached the downed head of security slowly and menacingly. The man's brain had been mostly obliterated, his face and lungs melted by ozone; he wasn't going to be getting back up and fighting anytime soon. However that was not enough for the poison spirit. Villiam lowered himself down on one knee, held out his right index and middle finger, then placed the digits in what remained of the guards' mouth. He stretched and forced his appendages as deeply as he could through his victim's body then released it. Manus. Pure as he could force. Villiam would ensure this victim's end right here. Right now. In full view of Kritch and potentially Betty if the demon could see anything outside of her cell.

More and more and more flooded Mike's body, inflating the human corpse like a balloon until there was no place left for the material left to go. It was forced to ooze and spill out of the man's orifices. His mouth, nose, eyes, ears, even his very skin pores and yes before you ask even his unmentionables. Once the deed was done and V convinced that Mike would never be a problem again, V removed his hand from the victim's mouth, grabbed the keys, and tossed them in Kritch's general direction. "Here you go, my esteemed rodent colleague," he commented in a rather friendly tone. Far too friendly for someone that had just murdered a man's very soul in cold blood.

Villiam then produced a dataslab from within his own body and made contact with Barkeep. "The last line of defense is down, we are retrieving the package as I speak, though judging from the sounds I hear Nefas is still an obstacle. For the moment, at any rate."
