@FiroIV Canon compliancy is one of the major details that I strive really hard to maintain. I specifically sought out a portion of the timeline where nothing big had happened in order to take place so that we could, for the most part, do our own thing without interfering with the events of the story and the world on a macro scale. Overall tone is realistic with dark, somber moments, and the occasional levity interjected. As far as actual story that's been covered so far, I'm kind of embarrassed to say it's actually only been 2 days in game (though that'll be changing up pretty soon). There's any number of side stories running at any point in time due to the sandbox nature of characters who aren't part of the "main story" teams. As far as the main story operates, the primary villain team has completed their first successful job, and the main hero group is about to deal with the fallout of that event, as well as having previously met one of the main villains and saving some hostages.

There's a good amount of social interaction in this particular game.
I like to think I've designed the game to be very user friendly and provide all the main details for unfamiliar players. Most of the current player base hasn't read the web novel and seem pretty happy.
@Lugubrious So Serhan didn't find anything/anybody then?
@BCTheEntity My understanding is that unless we're directly interacting with something related to the story or important GM NPCs, everything we do is on us. Don't worry though, when we fight soon I'll make the tentacle-mouths do some antagonistic stuff. ;D

Not just sitting there. I didn't get the impression that Runch looked particularly hard.

Well he's not looking himself, but Serhan is doing the looking.
So I guess there was nothing and nobody else in the Old Basilica to find?
Capes of Denver is an RP game that's been going strong for nearly a year now, and is looking for more players to fill out some open spots in some of hte main teams, and we can always use more independent heroes and villains! Based on the popular webnovel Worm, it takes place in 2005 in Denver, Colorado. This is a world of heroes and villains, with people awakening to super powers every day. It's darker and grittier than most superhero stories, and apart from powers themselves, the world works very realistically. Just because you're strong enough to lift a car doesn't mean you will. The weight of the vehicle means that it'll bend and break from where you grip it. Etc. Etc.

The rest of the details are in the game itself! If this little taste sounds interesting, go check it out, and we're always looking for more players. :)

All feedback is appreciated.

Small thing, she'll probably go by Chrissie.

Looks really good. I like the power, backstory, derangement, and how you were able to come up with a viable striker/stranger cross trigger. My only concerns are nitpicky for the most part. So I have a couple optional items to point out, and once they're addressed (or not) you can slide her on over to the CS tab. Looks like she's had her powers for around 7-8 months by this time and doesn't have a cape name yet. So either she hasn't attracted any public attention, or hasn't actually committed any crimes. I'd prefer that she get a cape name, or that's clarified. Similar to that is that no costume is listed in her appearance section. So if she doesn't have one, please specify that, or list something for her (even if it's just a random mask she throws on). Finally, I greatly prefer that no parahumans are made up for backstories if they're still around and relevant in Denver. I can let her dad slip by since he prefers not to use his powers or do anything in public, but I usually prefer to have a comprehensive list of all parahumans as NPCs for GM control.

So like I said, address all of these, or none of them, at your preference. Either way she can be approved.

@ProPro
Forgot to mention you originally.

Also had a question spring to mind in regards to the limitation I had set up. Changed the time, which is seen in this quoted version and not the one two posts up. Any other limitations suggestions, if deemed needed, would be appreciated.

Kinda want to get what I have down solidifies before I design the rest, as what I've got is what is fueling the rest in my head.

I definitely like it so far! The first incarnation with the activation time being 30 seconds was definitely waaaaay too much, he'd get the crap beaten out of him before he was able to use his powers. 10 seconds is still pretty high though. I'd recommend dropping to 5. That way it's fast enough to still be useful, but slow enough that he can't steamroll everyone and everything he comes across. This additional limitation is also enough for me to agree to lifting the Manton Effect for this power.

Side note, I'd laugh so hard to see him get into a fight with Alexandria, physically the most powerful hero in the world, only to knock her into the stratosphere. She wouldn't actually get hurt, but it'd be hilarious to see this titan get bitchslapped by someone with ostensibly normal strength.
Current date in game: October 3, 2005.

I have edited the front page to be more precise and inclusive of the character roster and team list, as well as having added a 0th post with a small list of rules. Let me know if there's anything you guys would like to see added there for convenience.
