I have a chronic addiction to creating more and more characters until I overwhelm myself. I've now stopped myself from making 4 new separate characters. Help me.

@CoyoteLovely Maybe I myself don't want to escape it... But my job and my social life may not appreciate it. Oh well! I guess I have no choice but to keep roleplaying!

Getting back into RP'ing is like a black hole. You put one toe in and the next thing you know you've been sucked down into it with no hope of escape.

A suggestion. A Discord chat would make ease of communication within the RP rather efficiant.

Also, I found this site, for collaboration posts.

I second discord.

Ohhhh an excellent suggestion, and the perfect thing for someone like me who is currently bored and has free-time. Consider me on it!
Drake found himself wandering through a large crowd, feeling particularly out of place and confused at the apparent swarm of people who had appeared out of seemingly no where within the past hour. It seemed that they were all here for the meeting that was apparently going to take place although to Drake, he found it all as more of an inconvenience more than anything. After all he had come with the same intention of finding out more information just as they had, however the irritating factor about it was the fact that because they had all conjoined in this one area he was fairly certain almost no one would get the information they were looking for unless they were important enough to simply saunter up to the front of the building that was holding the conference and be allowed inside.

Still, if Drake had learned anything over his years of surviving in the Rift-lands, it was that there was always two ways of reaching your goal... The obvious one, and the much more difficult one. It seemed that today, he would have to go with the latter option. So rather than joining the meeting as he had intended, he began to wander through the loud gathering of people, listening carefully for any sort of news that would clue him to exactly what was happening here. Eventually rumors would spread, and at least he would have some sort of idea as to what the gathered leaders would choose to do about this catastrophe. After all something like this could massively breach the fragile treaty the Order had with the Rifters... And if that were the case, Drake knew for certain another war could brew.

He passed by two men who were arguing particularly loudly about the events happening inside, causing him to step a bit closer to them and pull the hood from his torn red jacket just a bit further over his forehead. They were saying something about The Twilight showing up... and the likes of Manya. Well, it seemed most of the big wigs were showing up.
Due to Walter's position in society I'm contemplating introducing another character, someone from the common stock. My only trouble is that I can't decide what sort of character to play. With the panoply of characters with powers trending towards the upper ends of the scale I have a multitude of character concepts I could run with.

Well, if it helps, I think I'm going to be setting out two clear plot threads here. One is going to follow a group that's formed together to survive the Reaping Grounds so they can discover why the plane is there, while the other thread will follow the leaders and the various things they're doing to achieve their goals. So if you wanted to create a character in the higher parts of power, they should go to the Reaping Grounds! At least, that's my thought.

Oh shit, I forgot to give Milo a dawg. I need to give Milo a dawg!!

ITS SO PRETTY! I FRIGGIN LOVE DOGS SO MUCH

On another note, I'm going to post the intro for Drake soon. Once that's done the last post we're waiting for is @Irredeemable

AND

@Surtr@Darquesse

Clayton found himself clearly at home as he gave Hagan a wide grin at the invitation to the VIP lounge. Of course, he hadn't been worried about getting inside it in the first place. Even if they had denied him entrance, which was a rare occasion but did happen once or twice thanks to his unfortunate habit of breaking things, it never stopped him from always finding another way in. The true secret to a good party was never finding the right party... It was making the right one, and if he had to find a way to sneak into where the good stuff was happening, he was going to do it and kick things up to 11. When Hagan claimed that Griffin couldn't enter however, his smile faltered.

It wasn't like he really wanted the kill-joy in there, in fact he truthfully didn't, but he couldn't deny that he owed the guy. The very reason they had been hanging out as of late was that Claytons bike had taken a serious beating from a stupid stunt he had tried, and Griffin had offered to fix it up free of charge. Anyone who was willing to do that, no matter how much of a 'Saint' they were, made them okay in Claytons book.

Fortunately, Griffin solved his dilemma for him. "Hey don't worry about it." The shorter man insisted quickly as he gave a surprisingly good natured smile and nodded towards where the VIP lounge was. "That's really not my scene anyways. You guys have a good time alright-?" His words were cut short by a new voice that he instantly found grating to his nerves. Griffin didn't even need to turn around to know who the creator of the words were, as it was none other than Christopher Pope. If he was honest, Griffin had very little interactions with him, but he could recall every one of them being unpleasant. The guy never had much good to say, and always seemed to have a certain air of condescension that simply made him seem... pretentious.

Clayton recognized him as well, but didn't really bother taking the time to feel annoyed or offended by his words. Taking the time to do that would only make it harder to enjoy the party. Instead he smiled widely and found his good mood un-containable as he moved to lean against the wall next to Claire and give her a quick wink, one that wasn't particularly flirty but instead just letting her know that he was about to say something about her. "Hey man, you haven't seen us party." He insisted with a confident swagger to his voice while taking a quick glance in Christopher's direction. "Don't call us the bottom of the barrel yet. Trust me, I know my partying and from what I've seen from Claire, she knows her stuff too. Maybe we can teach you a thing or two... Chris, was it?"
@Puffhead Hah, I like him. Would get along with Milo xD.

We should have them interact! I'll do an introductory post with him in a bit, although I think he'll run into Natasya first.

I've posted Christopher's intro already, Brynn's will come after A) I finish the third character, Zachary and B) after someone else posts (preferably interacting with Christopher ).

I think I'll make my reply now so @Surtr can escape the limbo of waiting for my characters response. Griffin'll probably talk to him for a bit before leaving for the 'loser lounge' as it were. (P.S. if anyone wants to interact with Griffin there... *hint hint*)

Okay guys here's my official main character. I think I went a bit over board with him (his strengths and his weaknesses are both way imbalanced), but I figured I'd keep it since having a character who's so powerful and yet can be so helpless could be fun for everyone. Either way, let me know what you guys think!
I'll be posting... Not sure.

Yasss get your post up. The sooner everyone has made an introductory post the sooner we can get this RP underway.

@Puffhead - Aside from the zone leaders don't you already have Krag? Or do you mean another character pertaining to the main events?

Yeah pretty much characters pertaining to the main events. I do have Krag, but he's certainly going to be acting as a side character for the most part.

@Puffhead

You could make a few characters 'GMNPCs,' who are NPCs only you use.

I think that may be what I do. I'll take Twilight and Ricardo and move them to NPC's... That way I can have two characters who I use for the most part.

Yeah I think that's settled. I'll make one final character and move the two leaders into NPC's. Also! We're just waiting on @Irredeemable,@superservo27, and @Shard before the IC is officially open to post freely in.
Guys I need your help. I kind of feel like creating a character for me to play as a main focus point, mostly so that my only characters aren't only influential leaders. But I already have 3 characters... Should I make a 4th to play all the time, and let the others only pop up as needed?
Shame I'm late to the party.

I will mention, just to clear any possible future misunderstanding, that Walter hasn't even mentioned his plans on constructing an electric generator to anyone. The project has yet to be announced, both officially and unofficially.

In any case I'll be writing up my IC opener now.

Yeah I think at the moment they just acknowledge he's the largest influence in the Tradezones. No one really realized how powerful he is.
