Considering trying to re-run a digimon RP that didn't really take off. Dunno though. Digimon rp's are met typically with a terrible fate. :l

Hello. . . Umm, I'm Pyro. How do you do? I'm not really sure about what to say. XD
I like lots of the less serious (especially Ecchi ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) anime out there and super actiony games. I rather like Touhou and Hyperdimension Neptunia too! If you want to talk about those at all send me a PM or something!
Augusta had managed to do two things simultaneously. First, she angered the Royal Guard. Second, she managed to amuse the queen. Still, as they were guided through the halls her vision curiously stayed on the prince. He was a bit more effeminate than she would expect a prince though perhaps his mother's physical appearance as an almost fae like being had some effect on that.
The woman wanted to ask him some questions but... well, that could wait for now. Sorcha was to talk to them. She settle what small amount of this she had in her room save her recently obtained rapier that she kept at her side. She stood amazed in front of her bed and wanted to fall into it but kept that desire in check. If she did that, there was no real guarantee that she would get back up.
Rather, she walked with Octavia and went to the rendezvous with Isidore, Leuca and Sorcha. She listened to Sorcha speak, followed by Isidore though she found need to interject. "Lord could also mean a noble below the king on the hierarchy somewhere. Well, not that I know Dwarven culture." She made the assumption that there was indeed a king or queen perhaps but who knew. "Alternatively, there could be other types of factions. Religion, an unruly group wanting change... People wanting to further a specific cause."
Augusta held a pose in obvious thought. "Sorcha, do you perhaps know the factions in the Dwarven stronghold? And in Gloomhaven?" She asked, turning to the human woman. "I like to battle with words, personally. And I like to know with who I wage war before I commit to it." In obvious reference to the incident she caused in the throne room. "They can make you friends and enemies in the same breath." She obviously didn't take well to someone targeting Leuca.
Scylla continued on her almost unhinging of the jaw to eat whole hamburgers. As Thalia turned away from her to survey the situation, Scylla continued. When the master finally turned around, the entire hamburger selection was almost completely devoured. "Why would I eat the table? That doesn't taste very good." The monstrous servant said, seemingly from experience.
Scylla took scope of the situation and decided something. "This place got messy quick." She stood from her chair and looked towards the place they entered. 'I don't know what's going on here but I don't want to get involved." She added before covering her mouth with her hand and yawning. "All that food makes me want to take a nap now."
Augusta appreciated the looks her companions had gave her as she arrived. Truthfully, this dress was a lot better looking than she thought she was going to get. The tailor definitely had great taste in outfits. "I didn't really pay much but lip service for this. And a future promise I suppose. Regardless, I left my other dress with the tailor in hopes it'll be repaired some time." The elf mentioned as she looked over the dress. This one would also be somewhat better for the cold weather outside. Then Isidore handed over a rapier to her, telling her it would "finish" the outfit. She smiled as she took the weapon. "My, a weapon for me? Well, I won't say no to this in this dangerous world."
Then, they headed to the Uruthra Palace. Augusta thought she was ready for anything at this point, but boy was she wrong. The place was like it was straight out of an old fantasy movie. A mushroom throne, waterfall behind it... Truly it was difficult to imagine this prior had she not seen it. And the queen herself! She was as a being that appeared in one's dream. Even in this fantasy setting that Augusta found herself in, the queen was still a standout. Curious, Augusta used the power of her eye but was only met with a message that resounded in her head. It wasn't the same enigmatic message the goddess liked to give her. No. this was the queen herself interfering with her gift. She was glad to have met Sorcha first, as the woman's status gave her the composure to deal with this situations more.
The queen knew her name. Her ability even it would seem. She swallowed back but the queen seemed intrigued? No, rather, amused by something. That something was her, wasn't it? Augusta thought to use her eye again but... Well, that seemed a poor decision at the moment. Rather, she thought about how to introduce herself. Isidore beat her to the punch and introduced himself. Well, if the queen already knew... When Isidore was finished with his introduction, Augusta gracefully took some steps forward. She gave a small curtsy to the queen and then met her amused gaze. "Greetings, Your Majesty. We are pleased to finally make your acquaintance." She mentioned giving her a smile. "And, while I feel it is only polite to introduce myself to Your Majesty, I have very recently come to ponder if you in your grand wisdom have need for an introduction from us. If in your magnanimous mercy you would forgive these words, I would appreciate it." Her words had a sense of elegance to them, despite basically calling out the queen.
"However, for those that have yet to know, I shall enlighten them." Her look turned to the guards but, more particularly to the rather effeminate male standing near to the Queen. "This one is known as Augusta Aquilonia." The next part was directed towards the Queen. "Please feel at ease to refer to me merely as 'Augusta'." If the Queen knew enough, it was not unlikely she knew the elf's name from her previous life. It's not that she'd have disliked being called Bella, but it complicated things, did it not?
For the most part since they left, Trina was a rare sight when she wasn't out and about pestering people. Instead, she took naps in various locations in and on Neffy's outfit. Sometimes, it was her pocket, other times it was inside her hood. This time in particular, it was the former. The fairy's messy head peaked out from inside Neffy's pocket about the time Leon started to explain the background of the place. Her little face looked absolutely tired still as if she overslept by an hour or two.
Really, she didn't know at all what he said other than that it was dangerous, or maybe not so much. Really, she didn't pay much to the stories from these types of people. Was it good for her? Probably not. But it sure was easier in the short term rather than listening to the long and boring story. Still, Cups were to be respected for the most part so she wouldn't say anything aloud. Well, about him to him. Rather, she looked to Nuri as she said she'd lead the way. "Yes, she's right Neffy. Let the person wearing the suit of armor go ahead of us so she can take the first shot for us. With any luck, it'll just bounce right off."
After that though, she looked at the other party members. She looked the big guy over and he seemed to be... Dependable. Probably good at fighting right? That was the hope at least. Then, there was the two lovers. Corinne and Liliane. Well, she looked at both of them from Neffy's pocket but it was pretty obviously she was studying one more than the other. If Corinne happened to look at her, the little fairy would give her a happy smile and a thumbs up. What the thumbs up meant though... Well, Liliane would be able to figure it out pretty quick.
Finally, something reared it's ugly head. A robotic scout. She had seen plenty of them in her time fighting. That said, these things were rather cheap. She wondered if they were old units that never saw action back in the day or reprogrammed for use later. Well, these things were rather fragile as far as a Dark Knight was concerned. Their weapons could be a bit on the dangerous side but, well, she's fought worse.
Derrick had made the suggestion to clear these and move on. That seemed a good idea to her and she had thought the same of course. His barrier around her was helpful against the firepower of these robots. Before they started opening fire, she charged at them. Her sword moved from on her shoulder to down towards the ground. She carried the lower stance of her sword as she closed the distance until she was just about on top of the first one. She then jumped up and a small film of darkness covered the outside of her sword as she raised it high up, using just her left hand the bring it towards the robot. One good hit would be more than enough to destroy one of these things. At least, for the type of weapon she had.
"Back at yet another Alvadian lab." Freyja mentioned to herself as she ignored Cassidy and disembarked from the ship. She couldn't count the number of Alvadian facilities she had visited in her time both as a sword for hire and soldier. There was always dangers lurking in these places. Rogue experiments, bandits, monsters... It was never a question of if there was danger but more a question of what it was.
As she touched the earth and let the dirt, debris and rubble crunch beneath her boot, the woman grabbed the handle of her weapon and unsheathed it, allowing the mechanisms to put the sword to full length. It was only a few seconds that the mechanisms took, but sometimes those few seconds were the most precious. She didn't really pay much heed to those behind her as she scanned her surroundings for anything suspicious.
Yet another Alvadian research lab it would seem. This would not be the first one she had ransacked and certainly not the last one either. Freyja had been sitting ready with her weapon resting on the floor in front of her and pondering her current situation in more depth. She had mixed feelings. There was a part of her that hoped that the facility they were headed to was the one that she made her great escape from... But... Well, that didn't seem likely. Which also made her glad. She wasn't sure if she had it in her to visit again. Not yet, at least.
She wanted to stop thinking on that. Rather, her attention turned to her comrades. Other members of Wild Rose. First, there was Derrick. He seemed level-headed enough and a magic user of sorts. Well, if she had to guess. He didn't have the feel of a warrior about him. Of course, she had yet to talk to him in depth yet but she had to trust her gut.
Then there was Cadenza. By the limited interaction, Freyja came to assume her a hot-headed individual. Cocky even. If she understands her own limits at least, that much is fine. Really, she worried about the woman's reliability because of her attitude. Well, she had found that she worried about anyone's reliability since the war ended so that didn't speak much of Cadenza in Freyja's mind.
Rather, the one that she was more... concerned might be too strong a word. Regardless, it was Cassidy. He was a bit of a smooth talker. She was somewhat skeptical of him in general. Perhaps it was jut her but he was a small bit shady to her. Something seemed off, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Still, one shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Something that the Alvadian Freyja understood far too well. For now, she would put any preconceptions about these people to the back until she had more knowledge about them. She figured most of them probably didn't trust her either. She wouldn't blame them if they knew she was an Alvadian or even if they knew she fights like an old Alvadian Dark Knight.
As the woman put her thoughts behind her, she grabbed the handle of her weapon and stood. She allowed the compacted weapon to release to its full size to inspect it once before they had to head out. It was like a ritual for her, looking it over for scratches, fractures and other things that might be faulty to a weapon. Well, that was part of the good thing about Alvadian Magitek, even years later it was in near perfect shape. At least, the ones designed to be good. That was when the pilot announced that they would be touching down at the zone soon. "I suppose it's time then. We dance again, Alvad." She mentioned to herself before placing her compacted weapon in a specially crafted sheath on her back. With a sigh, Freyja turned and headed for the disembark ramp.
Once there, Cadenza mentioned something about shit hitting the fan and pounding shots down. Well. She certainly was cocky in the way she said it. Freyja eyed her for a couple of seconds and shaking her head lightly. "So long as you keep the drinks relegated to when we're not on a mission." She just assumed that Cadenza was more than happy to take care of herself. As was she, for that part. Perhaps she would need to keep an eye on Derrick or Cassidy, or perhaps not. That was to tell at the moment. "I, for one, don't plan to join you on that, Cadenza." Freyja added, ready to get to work. Perhaps searching the lab would give her some time to not think about the things that haunted her.
Trina was listen quietly as everyone else introduced themselves. Well, quiet as this fairy got. She got very offended when Nuri mentioned she could fly through a keyhole and unlock it from the other side. "How rude!" She remarked. "I am quite the amazing lockpick damn you!" She yelled but was likely ignored.
Nuria just kept talking though. Trina felt a small bit like a hypocrite, not that she knew what that word meant, when she felt that Nuri talked a whole hell of a lot. Then she couldn't remember such an important fairy's name! The nerve! "Damn right it's Trina! And you better not forget it!" She seemed irritated, even through Nuri's small bit of encouragement.
"Grrrr..." She grumbled before noticing the newest member to join them. The rather well endowed companion... No... "Wife?" The fairy asked as she started flying and drew closer to the two of them. She knew what a wife was! Something, something married. And married people did... Married people stuff? How was she suppose to know? She wasn't married. What she did know was the boing was strong this one. Her gaze was rather obvious on its direction at the larger one of the two. "Did you marry her because she's got nice boing?" The fairy slyly asked as she drew close to Liliane's ear, half expecting to be slapped away since that's what most people did. She was ready.
Name: Freyja Dämmerung Age: 25 Gender: Female Appearance: Freyja is consistently described as a solemn beauty for the consistent serious look on her face and for her rather good looks. She has a fairly nicely shaped body as well as some lightly toned muscles that came as a result of her continued training routine that has since been reduced since the end of the war. Personality: If one were to meet Freyja on the streets, they would have nothing to complain about her manners. Despite her strained face, she’s a rather kind woman that’s willing to help others, so long as it doesn’t take her too far off her task at hand. She hardly ever smiles but this is more of her attempting to hold her emotions back, a habit that she had worked to get over from her time in the Imperial military. Hardly ever, doesn’t mean never, however. There are quite a few times where she’ll give a small smile to a joke or gratitude from others.
Inside, however, she’s a broken person. The war strained her mental state and she never really fully recovered. At night, it wasn’t uncommon to hear sad noises coming from her room though this has since seemingly stopped. Guilt sits inside her from the war and it never left. Rather, sometimes she goes out to the streets and meets those who lost loved ones and internally she blames herself. But she doesn’t show it. Not much. Sometimes, she shows a small, pained face.
Brief Backstory: Freyja was raised in the Alvadian Empire. Her family was a military one and she was quickly placed into the military at a young age starting as a foot soldier though she was quickly promoted, most likely due to her family, into a special unit called the Dark Knights. They were a group of warriors that specialized in dark magics and powerful weapons. The magic they used were used to steal the life force from enemies and sacrifice one’s own physical well-being to increase their own strength.
And that’s when she got thrown into the war. The Dark Knights were used as shock troops, typically clashing into lines that were already engaged from the sides or in ambushes and casualties were not uncommon. They were used fairly often, though… Soon, they were pulled off the front lines for reasons undefined. The entire unit was pulled back to a base and told they were to be guarding the base because there was a suspected surprise attack incoming in the next month.
During her time there, Freyja had multiple duties. Helping with supplies, delivering messages between commanders and the most concerning was guard duty for the lab. As the month carried on her duties turned more and more towards guard duty for this lab. This was more and more concerning. Until finally, one day she noticed something during her duty. She was stationed in the internal section of the lab and noticed something… Odd. A scientist was pushing a rather large cart around. It was black colored, rather deep and had a tarp fastened over it. The odd thing was that she was sure there was a human finger poking out from under the tarp. And it twitched.
A few days later, during her guard duty, she was handed an envelope by what she assumed was a leading scientist. “Deliver this to the commander.” She was trusted to deliver a confidential message and Freyja assumed this was because of her family. Regardless, she started to walk towards the Command Room. Her concerns were filling her to the point where she decided she needed to open it.
The details inside were… More than concerning. It incited a need to escape. “Our research on the Dark Knights is progressing less than we would like, but the results we do have are quite good. We’ve had to release a few more samples than we would like. In the near future, I would likely need more volunteers. We should talk today. ”
She gathered her weapon, a few supplies and some other things. And went to the gate. She told them that she was ordered to patrol around for Embrian scouts. They believed her and she ran. Not long after, the Empire was in hot pursuit of her. The chase led on for days with many close calls. She fought a few enemies where she could, when she needed, but she was far too outnumbered to do much more than run.
Then, when she was basically at the end of her ropes and cornered, she was saved. A small detachment of Embrian soldiers flanked a number of her pursuers, cutting down the Alvadian pursuers that resisted. The leader, Sevard Kellson, spared her to question why she was being chased. Despite not trusting them, she told everything. What happened at the base, why she was on the run… Who she is.
They took her in as a prisoner. Truthfully, being a prisoner with the Embrians was still a better experience than being experimented on by her own country. She understood that soldiers had a duty to their country, but was being experimented on by their country part of their duty? Sevard took the time to talk to her every day. Particularly how she felt about her country. And day by day, she was feeling more negative towards it. She, of course, loved the people. But… Those in charge? Those that ran those inhumane experiments that she didn’t even know the extent of beyond the blatant disregard of human life? No. Not at all.
“Let me fight for you.” She asked. “I have nothing else but to fight for my people. I can never return, but I can fight for the Embrian army.” Sevard was obviously skeptical at first but he could see the passion in her eyes. He agreed and she joined the Embrian army despite the reservation of many in the upper echelons of the Embrian army. Regardless, she proved her loyalty to Embria, or perhaps, Sevard himself. She found herself relegating herself to the position of Sevard’s personal bodyguard.
Eventually, the war came to an end. Freyja wanted to retire from fighting as did Sevard. As she had no place in Embria, she took a job as a maid for Sevard to give her one. The people that knew of her supposed origins were wary of her and she did her best not to face them. The two of them lived this peaceful life for four and a half years… And then, Sevard disappeared. She searched and searched but… There was no sign. She had no money herself and had to abandon the house they lived in and needed to find a job. Luckily, or perhaps unluckily, she knew how to fight and decided to join a mercenary group, Wild Rose…
Skills: As a maid, Freyja has taken to being a master of household skills. Cleaning and cooking are the things she’s refined over the last five years. She also knows how to set up camp and hunt, though her aim has diminished since she was a soldier. Abilities: As a Dark Knight, her combat abilities focus mostly on empowered weapon attacks, draining attacks and dark magic. Her weapon strikes can be weaker, but drain life force or magical energy from enemies, called Siphoning Strikes. Alternatively, she can make her strikes stronger by allowing the darkness to drain her own life force to empower her weapon, known as Souleater. And finally, she can use her magical energy to use minor magic attacks made from the Darkness. The weakest of which, and all she seems to be able to use now is Ruin.
Limit Break - Dark Ruination: The strongest ability of the Dark Knights only usable by some now. It was a devastating ability used by some of the most trained Dark Knights in the war, though most of the Dark Knights have been phased out in some way or another. When used, Freyja slashes an enemy with her weapon and it slices an opening full of dark energy. Quickly, the energy festers and then explodes out from the cut.
Equipment: Freyja has put together a new set of armor which is sleek and maneuverable. It gives decent protection from the environment and monster attacks.
Her weapon of choice is the very same Magitech Greatsword she used all throughout the war. It’s also a reminder to her of the lives she has taken.
