Jackson was currently walking towards the building all the foreign vistors were supposed to meet at. Which was stupid as hell considering he'd broken into the city and would be thrown out, or worse, returned to the country that had held him for all most of his life. I think so, and It would make them go crazy and turn into little monsters, but they'd return to normal once Nexias cuts off the magic, with no memory of what happened. They'll also glow an intense purple, the trademark sign that Nexias has infected someone. The madnesd could make them become rather malicious, extremely paranoid, completely hostile, the list goes in, but it won't be good, what ever it is.
