Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

That was incredible. I'd like to join up, but I gotta know, is everyone that pedantic and stubborn all the time?

Avoid relying on real physics without making sure it won't result in problems and you'll be fine.

about the whole thrust blowing severely hurting everyone's characters. this video shows that was completely incorrect since this an actual fighter jet and not a huge jumbo jet.

With every post, you prove more and more that you didn't actually understand what I was saying.

READ THIShis sound doesn't travel far so admit that you made a mistake

No, you are the one making a mistake. This means that there's a 2 foot area around his body making this sound. This sound will drop off over distance, however, please see the following image:

read LeeRoy's post just now and see your mistake please

Well, I found out that he's picked a sound level that would instantly deafen everyone, and somehow conflates throwing balls of air with the physics of the situation.

still the fact that you have no problem with magic but have a problem with my solution just seems ridiculous.

Your proposed solution is 'because this causes collateral damage, give the character more powers'.
Mine is just 'remove the part causing problems'.

I think mine makes more sense and doesn't fix a problem by buffing a character unnecessarily.

To all the above, I submit this:

You're proposing that he's 10,000 times louder than a rock concert.

@Raineh Daze, one more thing, your video only applies to a jumbo jet and not a fighter plane, size counts so your argument is questionable

Well, the line right before it was 'I hope it's not 747 level thrust', and it has nothing to do with any other arguments I've been making. So my arguments are not questionable.

the moment you bring in magic then realism is debatable, and controlling sound waves is a common super power so once again this is superheroes, almost anything is possible.

... but that's not the power listed. >.>

Okay, I'm gonna need the thread to shut up for a second while I say my piece about my character. Alright? Because now you're arguing amongst yourselves about me and it's the morning. I'm coming down from my literal 2 quarts of caffeine and I'm in a bad mood. Warning, graphic language is inclement.

If you know you're in a bad mood and going to swear, it's probably better to not post?

What's wrong with him using sonic booms in a controlled way? tons of heroes do it, I read tons of comic books so I know what I am talking about. His character is no where near as powerful as the Flash or Superman.

Because some pretence of realism is desirable, eliminating them is more plausible than directing them whilst moving at supersonic speeds.

Also, the Flash and Superman aren't in this thread. They are bad examples.
I HAVE AN IDEA FOR ONCE.
Or add a hand-wave based on the fact there's current research into eliminating sonic booms (or reducing them), and thus he can just not make one, rather than getting another method of attack.*

*Admittedly, one half of this seems to be 'stick a big spike on it', which is amusing as a way of reducing things.
