Mystic Codes are optional. Magical Crests also are. Anything like that falls under Assets--take Kirei. Spontaneously born with magical ability, he has neither but DOES have a ton of Command Seals.

Also, GM! I'll co-GM if you want. I've... run quite a few of these before (and variants). And I appear to have memorised the Servant info... XD

The truest form of chaotic is things happening without any known reason: completely and utterly unpredictable. It cannot be good or evil, because that would MAKE it predictable. Complete opposition to law and order would also not be the purest form of chaos, because that's yet another thing that can be used to predict its behaviour. Therefore, true chaos may align with law, then 'help' by growing trees, which are used to hang good people, then club evildoers with bodies.

D&D is never fair and balanced. Attack is almost always greater than defence, extreme cheese excepted (well, 3 was the worst for that... though 2 doesn't seem much better unless there's a damn dragon or something else nigh magic-proof on hand).

PvP is basically the whole point of Fate, and it's not Fate if it's not a Holy Grail War. Heroic Spirits and Servants are part of the Nasuverse as a whole.

Alignment is actually the D&D alignments (Lawful/Chaotic Good/Evil, with Neutral in between) with 'Mad' replacing the moral component if Mad Enhancement shows up.

Ah, right, something I wrote after I got tired of seeing arguments about OC power levels and situations where random nobodies had abilities that would let them curbstomp anyone less than Gilgamesh.

Magical energy the Servant generates. It's... weird. Actual mana storage is independent (i.e., Gilgamesh as of F/SN has effectively infinite mana as he has a decade-long stockpile fuelled by orphans, though his stat in it is the same as ever).
