Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Fujiwara no Mokou, Blissfully Unaware

"Scouting? I guess I have nothing better to do. Can fly, too; though that's not all that hard to do..." Mokou said thoughtfully, stretching for some reason or another and completely uncaring that there were life-threatening challenges ahead. The blonde guy was asking what snow was, but after that explanation--about multiple worlds and all--she doubted that he'd ever actually seen snow. It wasn't the most impractical thing she'd ever had to deal with... gap youkai, shrine maidens, half-ghost gardener samurai, hungry ghosts, magicians, vampires, and maids: she'd seen quite a lot of things recently that this would fit right in with.

As she stood there looking thoughtful, and continuing to smoke and thus make everyone else choke, she tried to remember any knowledge she might have of scouting or teamwork. Sadly, neither were skills that she had ever had any occasion to learn; though she was quite adept at navigating locations that looked the same in any direction, she'd never really had to go out looking for something and then find her way back to talk about it.
The Prettiest Of All, Back at the Start

It was cold. This was rather confusing to Kaguya, as Eientei was generally a pretty warm place--and if it wasn't, she had blankets to sleep under, followed by rabbits crowding around her for warmth. To wake up in the cold reminded her of that time she'd fallen asleep reading and woken up half outside, trapped in bamboo. There didn't seem to be any bamboo here, and, more importantly: there was snow everywhere.

After climbing to her feet, the exiled princess picked up her umbrella (and now she was even more confused: what was her umbrella doing here? Had she gone to sleep somewhere with her umbrella?) and looked at the snow. It was all rather trampled, but there were only a few people nearby and that couldn't explain all the footprints...

Having initially assumed that the people would be familiar to her, Kaguya looked again, and then checked a third time. Pointed at Whitney, she said, "You're not Reisen..." whilst Nonon got "You're not Tewi..." and Miltank finally received "and you're not a rabbit..." until she was forced to admit that none of these people were, well, the people that lived with her.

Pointing at a random person, Kaguya asked the important question: "Have you seen Inaba?"
Reason for the delay, and lack of posting from our Sister of Battle, is that (I assume, given the timing) the recent storms messed up the internet in Rin's area. ^^;
Long posts are not inherently 'good', and I have no idea where this deluded notion comes from.
So, um, inspired by earlier but hopefully avoiding the 'nothin' but fighting' and inconsistent characterisation things...
Name: Houraisan Kaguya

Universe: Touhou Project

Personality: Polite and with an old-fashioned manner of speech, Kaguya tends to be rather... naive, as well as somewhat silly. All of the rabbits of Eientei are given the same name--and briefly looking up acid rain made her want to keep them all in side one night in case it burned off their hair. She's also been trapped by bamboo growing surprisingly quickly. Whilst Mokou tends to take their feud deadly seriously, to Kaguya it's more like a game, and she doesn't even bear Mokou all that much enmity--most likely because she's the closest thing to a friend rather than a retainer, though Eirin's been warming up over time.
She likes showing off her treasures.

Powers/Skills: Exactly like Mokou, Kaguya cannot truly be killed, and she'll simply shrug off the damage--though aside from that, her personal abilities (except for flight) see very little use. She has 'control of eternity and the instantaneous'--with the practical effect being that she can stop the passage of time from changing an area, or an item, or she can undo effects that similarly mess with the flow of time--in this way, even though centuries passed in Eientei, no food would rot and nobody that lived there would age. Her only other noteworthy personal ability is that she's far, far stronger than she looks: Kaguya can lift up an entire temple ceiling with her bare hands. The only question is how.
The most likely answer is that, despite being a princess, she knows magic of some description... especially because the Lunarians are supposed to have invented magic in the first place. Still, with Kaguya being Kaguya, this is... less than threatening. 'Anaemic magical bullets' are about all you need to worry about.
It could also be considered a skill of sorts that she's so beautiful her time in public lead to every noble wanting to marry her, despite the fact that her adoptive parents were common peasantry.

Brief Bio: Born as royalty upon the moon, Kaguya was exiled for getting Eirin to make the Hourai Elixir. Exile, rather than execution, because it was rather impossible to kill someone who is immortal. She was found by a bamboo cutter and raised, again, until such point that every high-born noble came to try and win her hand. Rather than simply reject them, she set impossible tasks--impossible, because the items were already in her possession.
When Lunar emissaries were sent to tell Kaguya she could come home, she decided that it was better, in fact, to stay on Earth, and since Eirin was amongst them they went off to live in a bamboo forest, with rabbits. Kaguya has basically stayed in the house and its immediate environment since then, having left the forest basically once.
It's doubtful whether she's actually left home unaccompanied at any point in her life. She's rather sheltered.

Equipment: As a collector of strange and unique artefacts, Kaguya tends to have a lot of odd things lying around--but not, in this case, on her person. She still nevertheless has her five Impossible Requests: the swallow cowrie's shell, the fire rat's robe, the buddha's bowl, the Jewelled Branch of Hourai (which is only impossible because the tree grows on the moon), and the dragon's jewel. About the only useful abilities these have except as a focus for pretty danmaku patterns is that the robe is fireproof.
She also has an umbrella with her.

Other: Not, exactly, the biggest threat. Though she can probably kill a person with her bare hands.
You'd probably blow your own hand off. :p

I wonder if this RP is taking in new characters. I would like to join.

Yes.
Stood at a window on an imperial world, opulescent robes glittering in the evening sun, Inquisitor Castella had given your orders: to go to the hive world of Helheim, to descend down into the under-hive and find out why, exactly, her contact in the place has stopped responding. The mere entrance to the place is a world away, and even from here it's clear that finding Pontius Gold is going to be a difficult task. Behind, the heavy doors to the hive proper creak as they slowly close, leaving you in almost total darkness.

A few flickering strips of light hang from what must once have been a solid ceiling, giving only enough illumination to show that your entrance lies at a fork in the road: to your right stretches a long corridor, from which the sound of multitudes of voices echo; down the other the lighting soon fades entirely, and the path is strewn with dripping, toxic liquid--but a clear path is outlined between mounds of refuse, too useless even for the under-hive to make use of.
Armoured skeletons are common as muck. :p
Mokou is the best looking because of her hair. ^_^
