Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

I have decided to ignore Nasu's apparently random numbers (he also says Rin and Saber have extremely similar busts, for some reason) and go with the pictures: Archer's height is the upper end of six feet. Honestly, if I go with one scene from the new anime, his height is 7'2-7'3. Lanky git. XD
The summer's day was annoying, in the opinion of one of the many residents of Greenfield utilising a fake name--though, in this case, it was because her actual name would be far too informative. Having risen from her bed shortly after lunch, the blonde had washed before setting out in search of a good place to have lunch; long life had enabled her to build up enough resources to live a comfortable life even if she spent her afternoons buying nice lunches and browsing various shops.

So, of course, when she decided to take a shortcut down an alley, there was a group waiting and presenting a target for Anne to vent her frustration at the day's weather out on: a group of men crowding around a young girl. If it weren't for the fact the girl could be in very real danger, the vampire would have stopped to mock them for their cowardice. Instead, Anne rushed forwards with alarming speed, inverting her parasol as she seized one man by the ankle.

It probably hurt to be used as a flail against your friends.

If you want a historical figure that was claimed to be a vampire, there's always Elizabeth Bathory.

Not an option, for reasons. Namely, she's a bit busy being a hero, right now. :P

Nosferatu was just the name of the film (and the in-universe term for vampire but yeah), the vampire in it was named Orlok. >.> <.<But but but Varney is basically Lord Byron as a vampire. : (

I thought he was a joke vampire? I was thinking of Ruthven as maybe an early-made diluted vampire. Hmm.

Varney, Orlok, Dio? >.> <.<

First one's too goofy, second one has no reason for being that ugly. XD
I wonder if there's any more infamous vampires I could grab? Hmmm.
And the UBW anime has begun broadcasting. Excellent. :D

Archer continues to be depicted as being taller than he apparently is.

I think everyone's ignoring Nasu's numbers.

The landscape's corruption was the first clue that this was not, in any way, going to be amenable to Vash's desire to try and talk a dragon down. Its sudden arrival, though, left Archer almost... disappointed with what was facing them. It was a mighty beast, as well as having a corrupting influence, but it wasn't quite up to the level of the magically-charged engine of destruction that the Servant was expecting to challenge them.

The high speed balls were avoided by the closest margins as he closed in as fast as he could, spear in hand. To those not used to high speed fights, it would look like Archer disappeared from his starting point, ground cracking, and reappeared within reach of the giant beast.

For this fight, he had no fancy tricks in mind, no trump card in mind--but he had the best weapon available for something so straightforward. Gram would be appropriate, but it was far too draining a weapon to use. The Totsuka-no-Tsurugi was the blade of a god, thus no matter its properties it would take far too much mana to project it. A third dragon-slaying blade was known to Archer--but not something he had ever seen. This, though, was perfect: Ascalon was simply the spear St. George had used in his exploits. As a Noble Phantasm, it had even less of an effect than Kanshou and Bakuya... but the white spear was enormously effective against dragon-typed entities.

For a battle of skill rather than power, Ascalon was the best choice for fighting a dragon.

Hark, an NPC!

Name: Vlad III, Vlad the Impaler--most commonly known as Dracula.

Age: 583

Gender: Male

Appearance: On the left. Ain't I wonderfully imaginative with vampire appearances?

Personality: Whatever he may have originally been like, the Dracula of the present is proud to the point of arrogance and immensely vengeful once slighted. Prone to obsession in all its forms, his interest is a distinctly unhealthy thing to gain--especially since he's never been too against horrific methods of death and their ilk.

Skills: Both skilled at leading organisations of varying scales--from kingdom down to the current Order of the Dragon--and highly practised with swords and spears. When it comes to manipulating vampiric hypnotism to get a particular state of mind, there's no-one finer.

Abilities: See Anne's bio--he has all the same supernatural bonuses, only somewhat weaker. He gets off a lot better in the weaknesses situation: Dracula doesn't burn in the daylight, and doesn't have to worry about the obsessive need to count. He's notably easier to kill: just get him in his coffin and stake... if you can pull that off.

Equipment: Swords, armour, and the resources of someone that's spent almost all their life as a member of the upper classes.

Brief Backstory: Vlad was lucky enough to interest Anne in one of her less-than-moral periods, and she stepped in before his execution--leading to Dracula's surviving that particular feat. Inevitably, they parted ways over the years and Dracula has only gotten worse over time, even though his creator sunk to her lowest point before recovering.
