Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

I'm guessing the improvement part will be focused on improving team work.

I somehow don't think that would equate to the characters' getting stronger.

Would Yuki be even more deadly with both arms?

Well, she could drink AND fight at the same time.

Or she could just, you know, swing the sword with two hands.

And use a bow again. :p
I'm not sure there's really anywhere Yuki can logically go from here, improvement-wise. Maybe getting her other arm. :p

Their skills are with actual physical enemies. Not evil spirits.I'm sorry, but I had to make them somewhat useless for the plot Rusalka wanted. AgAin, if you don't care with how I'm working, you can drop out.Akane would probably be able to figure it out the best because she is a Demon Slayer.

One player wants something, so you'll sideline everyone else? Um... doesn't that seem unfair to you?

That's not what I was talking about, anyway. I was talking about the first fight. By making the initial opponents far too much for the characters to handle, it makes supposed starting skills worthless (because there's no opportunity to utilise them and demonstrate anything) and all in all gives a terrible impression of the characters to each other.

Hanzo was simply a boss the group is currently not ready to face.I had to make the opponents hard because almost everyone in the group is highly skilled enough to take out armies. And eventually in the rp get even more powerful.Akane, Kouko, Yuki, and Kaede's opponents are still defeatable, they just can't go slashing about it without thinking.

This results in devaluing the characters' skills to the point they're more or less useless. :/
Original concept for Yuki's abilities was Fake Assassin. From F/SN.
There's 'not winning' and 'not making a difference at all'. If you removed every character except Mizuki from the scene, it wouldn't really affect anything.

'The enemy is hopelessly better than you' only really works at the start of something if the characters are total novices. <_<

I guess the best conclusion to draw from this is that maybe I SHOULDN'T have toned Yuki down from the original concept.

Well the suicidal idiot is a teenager who discovered she is a lot more powerful than a normal human so it isn't surprising. Now what I can see you arguing is why someone who is used to being protected is so into jumping into the fray. For now I guess its better to wait until everyone gets past this part. Right now Yuki or Akane don't have weapons to fight incorporeal creatures, but later on if everyone doesn't run off again I'm sure we will be more successful.

Well, the first attempt on the princess's life didn't exactly go any better. The only thing anyone except the princess was able to do was kill limitless, unimportant mooks. Now there's an enemy that all of two characters can do anything about, and one of them is unoccupied, and the other probably won't get to do anything because it's already shown it can trivially avoid their sword.
I'm honestly doubting the point of being in this RP.

I don't enjoy being required to constantly fail for arbitrary reasons, and the person we're supposed to be protecting is a suicidal idiot. Who also happens to be more or less the only person that gets to be at all successful. >_>
