• Name: Honda Aoi
• Age: 18
  
• Appearance: Aoi is an outlier amongst the Japanese for several reasons, the archetypal "huge schoolgirl", 176cm tall--or about 5'9. Given her propensity to be dressed for swimming, it's pretty hard to miss some pretty obvious things about her physique: for one, her body is pretty athletic, though her propensity for sweet snacks does mean she doesn't come across as lean as you might expect. The other is that the girl just doesn't seem to feel the cold, dressing pretty lightly even in the middle of winter.
• Personality: Aoi simply seems to not give a shit, or at least finds the consequences of her actions not worth worrying about too much. If the only person who's going to be harmed by her choices is her, what does it matter? There's no point in giving up on what she wants to do or what feels like the right thing to do because it's going to be a nuisance down the line; just take it as it comes. In Aoi's particular case, this seems to regularly result in being in trouble for uniform violations, since even wearing uniform she tends to wind up dishevelled and not wearing half of it.
  Her main interests are swimming--both for fun and competitively--and sweets, particularly ice cream. Outside of those two activities, Aoi is a perennial slacker with a sarcastic streak, and it's really hard to tell if her flirtatious tendencies are genuine or not caring what her statements sound like.
• History: During the Youkai Incident, Aoi was just a girl on a trip to the beach with her parents, temporarily separated to explore on her own--and due to the weather, it was pretty much deserted, but she still had an ice lolly on hand. Like many children, she was worried about how her poor grades would be seen and that meant that all her behaviour was unacceptable... and that was when the world, and the phone in her hand, stopped making sense.
  To go from a calm beach to the centre of a tense Mexican Standoff--the signs of a battle started around her but stopped before anything really happened--was a shock. On one side, angelic creatures, and on the other demonic. It was terrifying... and really, with that perspective her grades in school or general behaviour seemed so much less important. To either side there were things that could turn her into a nice glassy crater if they wanted, and she was worrying about schoolwork?
  On the angelic side, there was a fluffy little creature, and deciding that it was the one thing around here that seemed hospitable, Aoi went over to it on a whim, offering her ice lolly. The beast quite happily ate it up, sitting on Aoi's lap as a protective talisman... whilst the battle started up again, out of reach but entirely watchable.
  It really made her prior concerns feel a bit pointless.
  Ever since the incident, Aoi has been more impulsive but also far less fretful. Why not just accept the downsides that come with doing what she wants? They can't be that bad, and she's pretty confident in her moral ability to not do anything that bad. No matter how much the school authorities might disagree. She also got over her fear of water and really took to swimming.

Okay I don't know how to break it down but with exactly no NPs or magical assistance at all, against Taiga who is literally one of the best living swordsmen, Arturia won in like 10s. In a friendly match. Being modern doesn't mean the benefit of skill--better teachers is really questionable when there are people legendary for being awesome teachers (hi Chiron) and the techniques refined are often for sports... or to deal with armour and equipment that existed way earlier in the Nasuverse too.

Arturia has repeatedly been stated, and never contradicted, as the strongest Saber all around. On top of that actually blocking her attacks flat-out breaks non-NP weapons and even if you're strong enough to hold it off starts breaking the scenery around you. This is entirely without releasing Invisible Air in the slightest.

I like Julie d'Aubigny, but there's no way that her duelling ability is going to even remotely compensate for the straight power gulf for people who can happily fight dragons. They're skilled and have way more brute force.
