Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Been trying to think of something that doesn't involve rotting flesh, walking dead, and other powers that really don't fit a magical girl (well, a non-evil magical girl)
The sun shone down on yet another day in Gensokyo. Surprisingly, Gensokyo was actually subject to truly bad weather for once, rather than unnatural mist and bizarre oddities like geyser mist. Bad enough, in fact, that even the stronger youkai were staying inside rather than contest the winds (well, Aya and Sakuya could possibly be exceptions due to their abilities to more or less ignore external factors on movement) for the few days until the worst of it had passed.

And thus, when the weather reached Marisa's namesake, those wandering Gensokyo would be left wondering what the odd objects strewn here and there about the landscape were. A glassy screen that responded when you pressed a button (though some demanded unlisted passwords), large squares with hinges and dozens of brittle squares with letters imprinted upon them... and those were only the rarest items. Somehow, the outside world had dumped its produce into Gensokyo during the storm.
Name: Yamato Mei

Age: 23

Appearance: Nobody is entirely sure how she’s as old as she is. At only 4’7, Mei is absolutely tiny.

Personality: Mei is a good person: if there’s something she can do to help someone in trouble, then she will do it. This makes her rather popular amongst the few locals in her hometown that had any use for her talents. Where other people are concerned? Not so much. She can’t help with most things, and she’s not terribly good at resolving disputes due to a tendency to babble when she starts speaking.

Backstory: Mei’s family history is fairly straight-forwards: since the first Western contact, her family have been Christian, and dodged the attempts to suppress this during the Tokugawa Shogunate. Mei, herself, broke from tradition in recent years by joining a monastic order and becoming a nun, though it’s a rather… odd one, due to conflicting cultures, its deep links with the adventurer’s guild in Nekoyama, and remote location. For instance, relationships are only discouraged rather than outright prohibited. Not that it’s been an issue, given that most of its members don’t go out and have ‘punch monsters’ as their daily exercise.

Abilities/Equipment: Mei has combined the best part of Eastern and Western monastic traditions: she’s skilled in both martial arts and magic. Admittedly, the magic is entirely of a healing or fortification nature, but she’s still good at it. This means that the tiny nun is surprisingly capable of caving in a person’s chest if she can get a good hit in.
To pull something within line of sight to oneself (like grabbing an object that's out of reach) would be an Omega: "Here" applied as an 'energy attack'. If you can see it, you can pull it. "Here" applied to the self would probably make you an 'immovable object', still destructible, but immovable.

I don't think you've quite thought through the applications of being able to pull stuff towards you and teleport at will.
I'm trying to work out a less powerful idea than Here/There, because redirection and teleportation is so damn easy to break.
"Aww, don't say that. You're not ugly and monstrous enough to be a prince of hell," the drow said, ruffling Leviathan's hair and continuing on as if absolutely nothing was the matter. Hmm... where to go with Levi... well, she was hungry, and she was carrying a small girl, so... off to get icecream it was!

Now, if only she had a clue how to navigate this place.

Instead, they ended up in a bookstore. One with rather explicit covers.
I honestly don't think I can stay in a roleplay where one character has powers like that. Antimagic dog and emotion-controlled reality warping (especially when their personality starts with 'happy and confident') in a magical girl RP? Every other character, unless people start taking 'life and death' or 'eternity and the instantaneous' to their logical extremes, is basically a sideshow. And I have no interest in being a bit character where the outcome is entirely dependent upon a single person's mood.
I will actually read this tomorrow!
  • Name: Fujiwara no Mokou

  • Species: Human

  • Appearance: Though, really, her hair is longer than even that.

  • Abilities: Spell cards! Aside from this, she's utterly impossible to keep dead--she'll just regenerate more or less immediately. On top of this, she has the ability to set stuff on fire and, going from her spellcards, she could also pull duty as an onmyouji.

  • Personality: Rather indifferent to the majority of people, and basically reserves enthusiasm for anything to do with Kaguya. This absolutely does not have any homoerotic undertones at all. Nope. Not in the slightest.
Possibly more unhinged than normal for Gensokyo residents, when you get right down to it: few of them have ever been a mass murderer simply because of overwhelming isolation. At least youkai have a reason to kill and eat people (or fail at trying to do that).

  • Background: :P

  • Name: Alice Margatroid

  • Species: Youkai Magician, formerly... something?

  • Appearance: Alice!

  • Abilities: Spell Cards. Alice's magic, for the most part, relies on finesse rather than brute strength: whether or not this truly makes her a magician of only average strength or not is rather... questionable given her other abilities. However, she sticks to her dolls: explosive, good at cutting things up... none of them are automated, so her conversations with them are rather weird, let alone using them to do the housework. And the giant ones really raise questions about how she can be at all determined to NOT be using brute force.
And then... there's the Grimoire. With it, Alice has the power to create an entire world of unknown size. Where the hell could she have gotten this thing?

  • Personality: Alice, generally, acts polite and stand-offish; if there's one thing you can say about her, it's that she doesn't let a lack of social ability get in the way of good manners. This is, however, only for the most part; people she spends more time around can get a rise out of her better.
She's definitely a sore loser, seeing as she holds back intentionally rather than risk losing at full strength.

  • Background: A Makai native, she learned magic, lost a fight, gained her Grimoire... lost another fight, spent some time as a maid, then disappeared for a bit. Only to reappear further down the line in the Forest of Magic as a youkai magician.
Scenario one.
