Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

And that's Dead Heart Shooter's incredibly yandere introduction.Edit: Also, Puppeteers should not be pulling what Rose did. For one thing, it was a one-time thing on her part.

For another, she had secondary reasons for doing it and an escape route if it backfired. >_>;
Puppeteer unleashed. : D
With her last host... compromised, fatally so, and no access to his funds, Rose was attracting a lot of attention as she swanned her way through a busy shopping arcade. Some of it was to do to her inexplicable outfit, but most was down to the wings. People, as a rule, didn't have wings like that. It rather explained the spreading panic. So, too, did the fate of those that wouldn't get out of her way in time: neck grabbed, snapped, and tossed over her shoulder like it weighed nothing. Worthless trash; not enough money between all of them.

The body count was currently seven, with at least a dozen more injured due to the projectiles.

The Puppeteer was on a hunt: someone in relatively modest attire... but with the quality enough to give clues. She wanted wealth, but not someone already on the brink of destitution or busy frittering away their funds. No, she wanted something more... sustainable. Oh, she'd burn through everything in a few months, but until then she'd be living the high life, and have enough to keep a decent level of influence.

That's when she sighted Rosaline. The crowd, even rushing to get away and clearing space, ceased to be moving fast enough for her tastes. People were smashed into the ground by the Puppeteer's pushing down on them to jump back into the air, hopping her way towards the duchess, until her target...

Well, at least one person threw up from the sight of a body moving seamlessly into another body.

Red mist surrounded the new Marionette, making certain that nobody could identify the physical changes that would give her away--not that anyone who could reasonably act on this was around--and then... gone. No body, no crazed, winged monstrosity. The panic, however, had only just started. It would be some time, and probably involve more injuries and deaths, before order was restored in that area of the city.

----

Meanwhile, in an alleyway over a mile away, the exploded corpse seemed curiously... drained. It was the sort of injury that demanded lots of bloodshed, but there was none: just one exploded beggar, and one pale female, grinning.

Ah, such a perfect Marionette. This would be fun...

So...we start off having the doll find the master, instead of already partnered up for some time...?

Apparently doll finding master.
But I'm not home most of tonight! D:

In what way does simply being "supernatural" make them immune to conventional weaponry? Is a griffon immune to guns because it's 'supernatural'? It's made of flesh and blood, supposedly, so is its skin just so strong that it deflects projectiles? 'Supernatural' is about as descriptive as saying, "it's pretty sturdy." How sturdy. Why? I assumed they were incorporeal because otherwise they'd be so tough or have some sort of "supernatural shield" which is not described anywhere in the Int-Check setting.I can change it, nevertheless, but I'm quite curious to see what else is so unacceptable that you request I start from scratch.

Stop trying to use science on these things, for a start. Yes, going by science, these things should get hurt, But if science was all that applied to them, they'd be fully natural creatures. They're not, so science has no relevance. Mundane weaponry is less effective than a special toothpick, and that's the way things are going to stay,

Jeez, when we threw down the gauntlet, we didn't think you'd need a whole new character to pick it up. =P

If you're talking to me, I have no idea what gauntlet you're referring to.
Blood is amazing.
Name: Calamitous Midnight Rose

Gender: Female

Personality:
"Another nuisance? Truly, you Dolls never leave me to my sport."
Midnight, though somewhat apprehensive about the prospect of fighting Dolls, isn't outright scared of it like some others: she knows that, if worst comes to worst, she can just run away and there's barely anything that they can do to stop her from doing it. She does, however, hate it. Dolls mean that she has to drop her latest entertainment. Seeing as she picks high-class Marionettes in order to enjoy the most decadent lifestyle imaginable... well. It's good for the host, though; she tends to avoid going back to those compromised, and they get to keep whatever funds she hasn't yet spent.

Abilities:
Blood Plague--Deceptive Flowers: A feature all of Midnight's hosts have to face is the permanent, supernatural pollution of their bloodstream. Simply by being possessed, it's corrupted until such point as she herself is vanquished. It can also be spread to the general population, by biting into them and drinking of theirs. She tends to avoid this as much as possible, because... well, it takes weeks for the pollution to take hold, and ex-Marionettes are generally good enough for her. This pollution makes controlling the blood impossible for others--it's already under her sway.
Thicker than Water--Intertwined Roots: Simply: Rose can go from the blood of one infected to the blood of another. The blood doesn't have to be outside of their body, it just makes her arrival less gory. Plus, she doesn't have to be outside of their body, so she can go from one Marionette to a former Marionette (and possess it, but she tends to prefer blowing them up rather than possessing someone useless to her).
Blood Magic--Violent Thorns: Midnight can control all the infected's blood. Again, it doesn't need to be outside their body. So, if she wants, she can literally blow a hole in her Marionette's body in order to shoot a very spiky lance. She can even fully drain them if she wants more to play with. Then stick it all back and stop them bleeding out. Handy, really.
Dry Corpse--Wilting Flower: Much as Rose herself has no blood by default, it isn't necessary for her Marionettes to have any in their bodies... for a time. Oh, sure, they'll need it back soon enough, but for a few minutes her Marionettes can survive with no blood in their bodies at all.

Marionette:

-Physical changes to Marionette while possessed: Red eyes, fangs, very pale.

Misc: She generally has some blood in her body. Not hers, though. It just makes a handy escape if she's between Marionettes.
