I can't imagine it's a terribly competitive field.
To be the best taijutsu master ever, you'd have to get every other person with a taijutsu-focused character to agree that you get to be the best. I don't see that happening. >.>
It's not like there's an entire team that has a rather excessive taijutsu focus. >.>

We basically have an OC Team Gai. Taijutsu jounin, two melee taijutsu specialists (one handicapped, one Hyuuga) and someone to round things out just a little bit.
Clearly, Ayaka has one last growth spurt coming up, and will then be just as tall as Daisuke, only she looks taller because not bald and also not bulky. XD
Our Master... well, her special qualities:
