It’s none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier.

“There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.”

Ok folks, I have Vin's post up, so let's move it a long.

BTW: Let's assume it's morning and the sun is just about rising.

I think it's safe to say we can do a bit of exploring and "Free RP" and at some point @memetrash101's character comes running down to us asking for help and if we have any additional medical supplies, etc. We find out he's mending a wounded kid in the community, and blah blah blah...whatever else he wants to write into his post :)

I think it's pretty well open as to how we want to interpret Noble's Holler, but keep in mind that it's mostly black families who don't take too kindly to strangers, especially white strangers.

What we will need to drill down on is posting order so we don't railroad someone else's posts. Any ideas on that would be appreciated.

“Well isn’t this just a fine upgrade from our previous cabin in the middle of fucking nowhere.”

Vincent leaned against an old lamp post that looked as though it had been stuck in the ground for a hundred years, as he stared at the long abandoned miner’s barrack ahead that would be considered their new “home” for awhile. Past the old shack was a mining shaft that probably went to the other side of the world, but Vincent had no intentions of finding out just where in the hell it lead. Although something told him that their new guide would probably think otherwise since he was probably born in a mining shaft such as that.

“Really Eli, you shouldn’t have.”

He grumbled, shaking his head at the shit hole that the group had been tossed into and immediately thinking back to his place in Atlanta. Luxurious in it’s design and more room than any one person needed, Vincent’s penthouse was his sanctuary that overlooked a city which never slept. It had been a place he could escape to if he needed to be alone, or to throw the most outrageous parties without a single care in the world. Sure, that life wore him down at times, but it was nothing as unbearable as living out on the set of Deliverance with gunslinging rednecks all around him who would rather eat him in his sleep.

Nate didn’t seem to care a whole lot about where they were, as long as they were somewhere he could relax and heal in his own time, which Vin couldn’t blame him. The guy took as much shit as he dished out, so he could use a reprieve if there was such a thing. The Eric Miller kid was decent, seemed to pretty much say whatever was on his mind at the time, and yet Vin still couldn’t quite understand what his role was in everything. The little girl, Christi, on the other hand was timid, but from what he’d heard, she had every right to be reluctant to interact with strangers. No one should go through that kind of shit, no matter what their upbringing. No doubt she saw the three from the city as something entirely different, maybe almost alien from a culture she was accustomed to.

Vin turned to Jennifer and grinned. “I don’t suppose you want to step in first and check out the new digs. Maybe scare all the rats and shit out before the rest of us come in.”

She’d been, for most of the hike up to Noble’s, at his side and they kept each other company trying their best to keep their minds off of the train wreck of their current lives. It was no secret that he liked her, and sometimes he believed he might even love her considering how protective he’d become of her, but he pushed those thoughts aside knowing that growing so emotionally attached to someone at this point was probably not the best course of action. However, as much as he wanted to fall back to treating Jennifer like he’d treated most women in his life as though they were simple playthings and sexual diversions, Vin couldn’t. They’d been through too much for him to ever think of her like that.

“Eh...I was kidding, by the way, babe.” He said, rubbing her shoulder as he turned to the others in the group.

“So, who’s going in first, because I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m tired as all hell...”
@frapet

Wow...well I hope you are refreshed and inspired to write more upon your return! (Just don't forget about us...)

Enjoy your holiday my friend, and yes, definitely post something we can work with and I'm sure all of us will have no problem improvising.
Nice...a mine shaft to call home. Now Vincent can live out his Dungeons & Dragons fantasy. Of course, it goes without saying, that he would appoint Jennifer the role of the "scantly clad Elvish warrior" ;)

In any case, @AcerRo thanks for adding a bit more info to the post. Also, let @memetrash101 when he may be able to start posting since the rest of us can pretty much post whenever...
Besides, he's not "speaking" the German language so much as its an accent that just happens to sound German. All kinds of species in the SW universe had accents and languages inspired by RL.
Yeah, pretty much how I see it.

Until later into the story when the character can better understand and control the creature, their actions are more instinctual and animalistic in the werewolf form.

Just imagine what a predator would do out in a world they don't quite recognize...
@memetrash101

Let's see if @AcerRo has any updates to his post first or any ideas as to how he would like your character to enter in, then go ahead and post.

@Sleater

As much as I love the creativity of the "German" droid, yes, it is rather difficult to read at times because I find myself going over the same lines of dialogue a few times just to understand what I'm reading.

It's fine if your character's accent is supposed to be thick, but you don't have to translate just how thick it is into your dialogue, lol. I'd suggest mixing real words with a few "accented" words just to keep things consistent. Overall though, you want your reader to be able to read what you are writing :)

One thing you could do in the story, is perhaps Fixer finds a voice modulator (or whatever you want to call it) in a pile of parts, has one of the crew install it (or he installs it himself) and it allows him to speak Basic more clearly. Of course there may be a few words here and there he can't interpret, but for the most part it would be easier to understand.

Anyway, hope that helps :)
@AcerRo Well, I've seen Justified so I know exactly what is being referenced, but I'd suggest you add more detail on location, housing, etc for those who may not have watched the show so we are all on the same playing field. As much as I like a good visual reference, I'd rather not replace a written scene description...

Also, we can have @memetrash101's character (Joseph) come in at this point. Perhaps his Uncle was an associate of one of the residence in Noble's and they called on Joseph to help patch up one of the kids after some hunting accident, or whatever. Basically, there'd need to be a good reason for a white kid from the city who is visiting his Uncle in Harlan to be up in a place like Noble's Holler.

Thoughts?
@AcerRo

Awesome...can't wait! (see my bad ass happy dance moves?)

@memetrash101

CS is good, although did I just read that his broken arm healed in a week? Does he have extreme accelerated healing as well?

Anyway, as for you posting, I would suggest waiting for AcerRo to post his time-skip (tonight?) and that would be a good point for you to slip in afterwards.
